NOVEL NEXT Chapter 5: Rip and tear
The five of them could be seen running all over the streets of Piltover, with enforcers close on there tail.
After a few minutes of being chased they finally made it to the bridge that connects both Piltover and Zaun.
As they were crossing the bridge, it started to raise as to let a ship pass underneath it.
All five of them were able to get across it intime but so were four enforcers.
Once they made it into Zaun they were able to lose the enforcers by making a bunch of random turns into alleyways that they knew.
In a final ditch effort to try and escape. They pull the cover of what seems to be a trash shoot.
Mylo seeing the all to familiar trash shoot says "Oh, man, not again. I just got this shirt--"
Before he could finish speaking, Vi kicks him face first into the trash shoot.
One by one they quickly jump in and follow after Mylo.
Mylo gets spit out into a large pile of trash with Claggor falling right on top of him.
The force of the collision sends both Mylo and Claggor flying of the pile and into another.
The next one to appear out of the shoot was Cyrus.
Who, thanks to his enhanced stats landed without getting any more dirt on his person.
As Cyrus was standing up he Powder came flying out of the tube.
Cyrus seeing her approaching quickly, catches her and holds her princess style.
Powder seeing her situation quickly gets down from his arms, but she doesn't leave his side.
And lastly Vi comes crashing into the pile with the bag. But as Mylo sees her he says "Thought last time was the last time we were gonna do this."
Vi annoyed at the remark replies "Well, this time's the last time."
Claggor quickly interjects and says "Guys, what was that? What the hell happened back there?"
As he finishes saying that last bit, Mylo, Vi, and Claggor all look at both Cyrus and Powder.
Powder looks at all of them and says "I don't know. I didn't do anything."
Mylo hearing this responds "You could fill a damn library with all the things you didn't do."
He looks at Cyrus and continues "And what did you do that entire time? I didn't see you helping at all."
All Cyrus does in response was give a big sinister smile, raise his fist Infront of him and slowly start turning it in to its sword form.
Vi seeing this says "Guys, enough, we just emptied a Piltover penthouse right under the enforcers noses. So, if you're done beating yourselves up, lets get this home."
As she finishes talking she slings the bag over her shoulders and starts walking to the exit at the other end of the room.
They all exit a grate in the ground to get to the surface.
While they are making there way through the streets of Zaun a couple shady looking guys start to follow them.
As they are passing through a random ally a random guy on the street calls out "Nice haul?"
Which in response Mylo says "You could say that."
Vi gives Mylo and angry glare.
The guy continues "I heard there was some action across the river. Someone, uh, someone really kicked the nest, huh."
Vi continues walking and says "Is that so?"
But before she can make it far two guys appeared in front of her blocking her from advancing.
The guy gives a little laugh and says "But now you're tracking this mess of yours through my streets."
Vi responds with "Your streets? What makes you think--"
Claggor quickly cuts of Vi and says "Listen, we don't want any trouble, okey?"
One of the grunts hearing this chuckles in amusement saying "Hear that, Deckard? They don't want any trouble.
Deckard hearing this responds "You know, in my experience trouble finds you. There's no reason this has to get ugly. How about you share a little taste of your treasure there and we'll call it even."
Mylo hearing this says "No, no, no. We worked too hard to..."
Before he could continue Vi grabs his shoulder signaling him to stop.
Vi looks at Deckard and says "How about no. Cyrus."
Cyrus hearing his name looks up. During the entire conversation he wasn't paying any attention.
He was just thinking of what different things he could do with his symbiont abilities.
Like how carnage can turn his hands and tendrils into blades or other weapons.
He wanted to do more tests to see his limits.
Vi looked directly into Cyrus's eyes and said "Do it"
Cyrus hearing this has stars in his eyes as he says "Rip and tear?"
Vi, who is already regretting it, says "Rip and tear."
Cyrus getting conformation screams "HELL YEAH!!!"
Right before he engages, he makes sure to whisper to Powder "Powder darling, please close your eyes and cover your ears, i don't want you to see or hear what's about to happen."
After saying that Cyrus musters every ounce of strength in his body and shoots himself at Deckard.
In the 3 seconds it took for Cyrus to close the distance he had turned tis hand into a blade and cut Deckard's arm clean off.
Before Deckard could even register what had happened Cyrus punched him in the face so hard he was sent flying.
As Deckard is flying Cyrus looks at the other 3 and charges the one on his right.
Once Cyrus reached his target he turned his other hand into claws and plunged his hand into the grunts chest.
He also created 5 tendrils that were connected to his body and stabbed one into each arm, leg, and the grunts head.
Then all at once, he ripped the grunts heart out and ripped of all of his limbs.
Leaving just the torso to flop on the ground like a sack of potatoes.
If potatoes had blood gushing out of them in high volumes and speeds then yes.
Cyrus looks at the still beating heart in his hand and in a horrifying way unlocks his jaw and expands his mouth like a snake and eats the heart whole.
Everyone seeing this is both horrified and disgusted.
But Cyrus is preoccupied with something else as he looks at the notification Infront of him.

interesting.
Cyrus pushes his curiosity to the back of his mind as he still has to more people to take care of.
So he launches himself closer to the last 2 grunts.
Once he's close enough he turns his arms into giant tendrils as he grabs one of the grunts and hurls him into the air.
As he sent the first one flying he looks at the other one and does the same thing.
As the grunts were in the air Cyrus creates a bola in his hand's and throws it at the two airborne grunts.
It successfully hits both of them tying them together mid air.
As they are plummeting to the ground, Cyrus, using both his hands turns them into a giant Warhammer.
Just before the grunts hit the ground Cyrus swings the Warhammer down on them.
With both the momentum from the fall.
As well as the force from the hammer strike the last two remaining grunts are turned into paste upon impact to the ground.
Upon impact the ground shattered and splintered.
As the dust settled all that could be seen was a pure horror fest.
There were blood and limbs everywhere.
When Vi saw the carnage she almost puked. She's seen bad, but this takes the cake.
She new Cyrus was weird. But this. She never would have thought this 12 year old but would be capable of all this carnage and destruction.
Cyrus, after the fight felt exhilarated. He thought he would have maybe some aversion to killing but it felt perfectly natural.
Like he was made to kill and slaughter, that it was his purpose.
But he just shrugged it off and walked over to the rest and said "We can go now."
Powder starting to get impatient, she tried to open her eyes but Cyrus quickly turned her around and lead her back to The Last Drop.
Vi, Mylo, and Claggor seeing this push there thoughts to the back of there heads and follow them back to The Last Drop.
(20 minutes later)
As the entered the last drop lead by Cyrus and Powder who were chatting.
Vander spots them entering then goes back to talking.
Once they make it to the back room they all site down and try to calm there hyper nerves.
Vi looks at all of them and says "Vander learns none of this."
Mylo about to say something is interrupted when Vander walks in the room.
Vander calmly asks "Everyone all right?"
Mylo responds "Never better."
Vander hearing this says "Good. I don't suppose you can explain why it is that I'm hearing about an explosion and a foot chase topside? Four children fleeing the scene."
Vander sighs and says "What the hell were you thinking?"
Vi responds with "That we could handle a real job."
Vander says "A real job?" in a questioning tone.
Vi continued "We got our own tip, planned a route, nobody even saw."
Vander, in a matter of fact tone says "You blew up a building."
Vi retorted "That wasn't..."
Vander, having enough of this, says "Did you even stop to think about what could have happened to you? Eh? To them?"
Vander sighs and calms down. He asks "And where did you even get this tip?"
Cyrus hearing this says "We heard it when we were around Benzo's shop."
Vander looks at him and asks "From?"
Cyrus smiles and says "From Echo. We got the tip from Echo."
Vander hearing this just sighs.
Vi quickly says "I took us there. if you wanna be mad, be mad at me. But you're the one who always says we have to earn our place in this world."
Vander, who's starting to get angry says "I also told you time and time again, the Northside's off-limits. We stay out of Piltover's business."
Vi in both confusion and anger asks "Why? They've got plenty, while we're down here scraping together coins. When did you get so comfortable living in someone else's shadow."
Vander goes quiet for a moment then says "Everyone out."
Cyrus in response says "Na. I'd rather stay and watch the fight happen."
Vander looks at Cyrus and they have a stare off for a few seconds before Powder says "Come on Cyrus, ill help you think of ideas for your first creation or whatever you call it."
Cyrus hearing her offer sighs and says "Fine. Lets go Powder, ill show you something amazing."
As Cyrus and Powder were leaving the room Cyrus gives Vander a quick once over and mentally says 'I could probable take him'.
Once everyone leaves Vander looks at Vi and says "Sit down"
Vi in response just says "I'm fine"
Vander with a more stern voice says again "Sit. Down."
Vi hearing this sighs and sits down.
Vander sits on the table Infront of her and says "Those kids look up to you. Cyrus, i have no idea but the rest would do anything you ask."
All Vi says in response is "Yeah, i know."
Vander calmly retorts "You know, but you don't know. When people look up to you, you don't get to be selfish."
Vi hearing this tries to say "I'm not--"
Vander cuts her off "You say run, they run. You say swim they dive in. You say light a fire, they show up with oil. But whatever happens, it's on you. Just like it's on me what happened to us down here."
Vander pauses for a second then continues "We make ourselves a problem for Piltover, and they will send the enforcers."
Vi in response to him says in a rebellious tone "So? Why answer to them? These are our streets. Someone should remind them of that."
Vander quickly counters her with "You're noy hearing me. That path? It's not going to solve your problems. Just makes more of them. We clear?"
Vi reposes with "Sure, were clear. But i didn't think we would have to worry about somebody trying to rob us right after we cross the bridge."
Vander hearing this asks "On our side? Who?"
Vi looks down and says "I don't know he was after the stuff."
Vander looks at the bag next to the chair and asks "Is that it? Your haul?"
Vi just nods her head.
Vander continues "You're gonna have to lay low for a bit, understand?"
Vi looks down dejectedly and says "okay... We're gonna be fine, right?"
Vander just looks into her eyes and says "I'll take care of it."
Vander stands up and grabs the bag and starts to walk out "Oh, you did put that idiot on his ass, though, right?"
Vi hearing this shuddered and says "Cyrus took care of it."
Vander asks confused "Cyrus? What could Cyrus do--"
As he's saying that he stops and realizes that Cyrus already took out those who opposed him.
It made sense that he could take out four more.
Vander says "Never mind." After he says that he walks up the steps and out the door.
As Vander is walking out he sees Mylo and Claggor waiting at the door.
He loos to Claggor and says "Get up, Claggor. We're going out."
Claggor hearing this says "Wait, now?"
Vander just walks past him and Claggor follows.
While the conversation with Vander and Vi was going on. Cyrus had brought Powder to his dimension.
Once Cyrus and Powder left the room Cyrus created a portal underneath their feet.
Powder feeling like she was falling closed her eyes to fright. But after a few seconds she opened her eyes to see a beautiful sight.
She saw a river surrounded by two mountains and a forest that looked like it stretched for miles.
Powder looked at Cyrus and asked "What is this place?"
Cyrus hearing this responded "Its my own little dimension. I can really use it for what ever but i was planning to make all my creations here."
Cyrus looked at her and asked "Soooo, what do you think?"
All Powder could say was "Its beautiful."
And for the next hour or so they explore there new playground.
Somewhere deep in Zaun.
Deckard was strapped to a chair with three guys standing next to him holding pipes.
Deckard was terrified as one of the goons took there pipe and held it to Deckard's neck slightly choking him.
A mans voice sounded out "You were supposed to follow them and not interfere."
Deckard still struggling to breath says "I'm sorry... They just caught us by surprise."
The mysterious voice continues "Now his accomplice is asking questions... about you. And that's not a risk I'm willing to take."
The goon starts to choke Deckard more. As he's struggling to breath he's able to get out "The kids. It was their fault, the explosion in the upper city."
The man questions "That was them?"
Deckard, desperate to breath says "Yeah. The topsiders are up in arms looking for 'em."
Hearing this news the man says "Vander's in trouble."
The man takes a second then walks toward Deckard and says "Smartest thing you ever said, boy. Get him a meal."
The goon removes the pipe from Deckard's neck. Deckard gasps for air trying to ignore the pain from losing his arm and almost suffocating.
The man continues "But keep him off the streets. Our timeline has moved up."
A frail looking man holds up a vial with a purple liquid inside and says "It's almost ready."
The first guy says "Show me."
The frail man walks over to a cat and picks it up and them says "Feeding time."
He then takes the cat and places it into a glass container with a mouse.
After the cat is in he locks the container.
The first man ask's "And the side effects?"
The frail man responds "Stabilizing"
As they are talking they both approach the container and watch as the mouse sees the cat and runs over to the water dispenser that's filled with the purple liquid from the vial.
As the mouse drinks the purple liquid the mouse screeches in pain and begins to mutate and grow at a rapid pace.
Soon the mouse is two times larger then the cat and the cat is scared and trying to run but it cant.
But before the cat can even try and escape to mutated mouse lunges at the cat and rips it to shreds.
Seeing this the frail man asks "Do you have a subject in mind?"
And the other man responds "Someone just volunteered."
