Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Fu Wan shivered when she heard the words of the man. Yes, this was the child of her dearest brother, Wenxuan. A child she had received through sheer schemes and bribing someone. Including driving someone to jump off a roof and die. How could she let this child starve?

Seeing that the woman was moved, Xiao Chenye continued, "Please stop making trouble. At least take a few bites and try to keep the child well-fed. That way, you will still be able to keep your position as the eldest madam of the Bai family or else things might become troublesome for you and your family, Miss Fu. Fu Wan's face turned dark. She didn't like it when people brought up the good things that she had done to garner the attention of her Brother Wenxuan, and how she had gotten pregnant with his child. But the man was right; it was due to this child that she was being treated so well by Brother Wenxuan; if not, she would definitely be left on the street to be killed by the zombies, and in place of her would be—

Her face turned even darker. She turned and asked Xiao Chenye, "Where is Brother Wenxuan? You said that he would come to pick me and the child up, but I am already so close to giving birth to a child, and he never came to look for me. Is he even trying to come and take me and my child away? If this goes on, how will we survive!? That woman bullies me left and right," as she spoke, more tears started to fall out of her eyes.

Are you fucking made of water? How can you cry so much? This is simply beyond my understanding, thought Xiao Chenye.

However, he still sucked in a breath and honestly replied, "Master Wenxuan said that he will arrive here in a day or two. He has crossed Cloud City, and he will soon arrive here to take you and the child away."

He did it all through a special military radio; it was not easy to get hold of, as the entire safe base was in a rather perilous situation.

It was just that Fu Wan didn't care about anything else, other than getting dressed up, dolling herself up and then taking care of her hair and nails and complaining about the lack of a spa. Even with the world coming to an end, she didn't think that there were any changes. She still thought that the world was working in the same manner, like Bai Wenxuan could waltz into the airport and then take a plane to the other side of the world.

When Bai Wenxuan left the country, the world was yet to come to an end, and only those who braved through the troubles knew how hard it was for him to return to the city. However, this had nothing to do with Fu Wan; she just cried and made a fuss every day, saying that if she did not see Bai Wenxuan, then she would die.

It was terribly hard to control her when she threw a tantrum like that. Sometimes she would get so violent that these men were worried about the child in her belly.

According to Bai Meiyue, what Fu Wan was feeling was nothing but anxiety, and she needed someone to care for her as she was having a hard time. Even though she had all the comforts in the world, a woman's world was small enough to only let her husband in, especially a woman like Fu Wan, who treated husbands like their god.
