Ye Xuan had been quiet ever since they approached the lake. For some reason, his heart had been beating out of control and he didn't know why. However, he felt as if something within the lake was calling to him.

He didn't know why, but he felt that he had to go into the lake no matter what circumstances.

He had always trusted his gut and he trusted it even more now. He wanted to explore that lake. He didn't know what was in it, but he had a feeling that if he didn't go, he would regret it for the rest of his life.

Therefore, he looked at his girlfriend who had a slight frown on her forehead and his brothers who were contemplating whether to enter the fog or not and made a decision.

He would go alone and see what was so attractive to him in that lake. However, he didn't want to drag someone else with him in case of an accident, so he had decided to venture into the fog alone.

"I'll go check out what's in the lake. If I find a way for you guys to come in then I will let you guys come." Ye Xuan had just finished his statement when he met objections from everyone.

"No way, boss. You can't take such a risk alone. We will go with you. If we have to fight, then we'll fight together." Lei Ying was the first to express the strongest opposition.

"Yeah, boss. You can't just take such a risk. If you want to check out what's in there, then let's go take that risk together. We can't let you go alone." Pei Ming, usually very quiet, also vehemently opposed such a decision.

The others didn't say anything, but the heads that were nodding like chicken eating rice showed that they meant the same.

Ye Xuan felt warm in his heart because even now, his brothers were willing to take every risk with him even if they knew it was life-threatening.

He turned to look at his girlfriend and found her still frowning as if she hadn't heard anything at all. However, he knew that she had heard. He just didn't know what she was thinking about so seriously.

The others also turned to look at Chu Miao wondering what she was thinking about and why she stayed so quiet.

After not seeing her speak for a while, Ye Xuan placed his hand on her shoulder and called to her.

"Darling, what are you thinking about?" He couldn't help but ask because he knew that Chu Miao would not ignore his statement of going into the lake alone.

Chu Miao stopped thinking about what was on her mind and turned to her boyfriend.

"I'll go with you." It wasn't a question, but a statement. She was informing him.

"Baby, the lake could be dangerous. Let me go and explore a little first then come back for everyone else if there is no danger." Ye Xuan didn't want his girlfriend taking such a risk.

He insisted on going because of the pull he had in his heart and he didn't want to involve anyone else. So, he didn't want Chu Miao taking the risk either.

Chu Miao looked at the serious but affectionate Ye Xuan and suddenly smiled warmly.

"If I am not wrong, you are not insisting on going into the lake because you just want to explore it, but because something inside that lake is calling to you, right?" She asked with a knowing smile.

Ye Xuan was shocked, and so were the others. The others had just thought that their boss was interested in why the lake would change as they walked closer and wanted to unravel the mystery.

But as it turned out, it seemed from his shocked expression that they were wrong.

"How did you know that?" Ye Xuan asked in a surprised tone.

"It's the same feeling I got when I saw Little White. I am guessing that there is something fated with you in that lake.

But what is making me confused is that I can feel a similar pull too, but it's not as strong.

However, I still want to know why, so I'll go with you. From the lesson I got from Little White, I am guessing that even if that fog is dangerous to other people, it will not affect you.

So, stop wasting time and let's go. By the way, has any of you noticed something weird?" Chu Miao suddenly changed the subject and asked the others.

They all looked at each other but everyone just shook their heads. They hadn't noticed anything weird. Well, apart from the lake suddenly getting covered by fog, but then, Chu Miao wouldn't ask about that.

"Bunny, what is weird?" Chu Hao asked his sister hurriedly as he looked around to see if he would notice anything, but to his dismay, he saw nothing at all.

Chu Miao then turned to look at Ye Xuan who smiled and said, "I thought you hadn't noticed."

The others were even more shocked when they heard Ye Xuan. That means that there was indeed something weird but only their two leaders had noticed. But what was weird?

"I am not blind, of course I noticed. I just thought it might be the difference in the ancient battlefield, and wanted to give it time to see if anything would change, but apparently, I was hoping too much.

"Can the two of you stop speaking in riddles and tell us what is so weird that only you two have noticed and none of us have?" Chu Hao couldn't take the curiosity anymore and urged the two people who seem to have their brain wired differently.

"That's your assignment as you remain here. Think about what is weird and when Ah Xuan and I come back, you can tell us your observations." Chu Miao said instead of directly answering her brother's question.

She knew that her brother will figure it out now that it had been pointed out. He might just take a while. So, she decided to give them time until she and Ye Xuan came out of the lake.
