Chapter 41: Chapter 41 – Tomoya Reduced to Ash

"Rest assured, as long as I'm here," Tatsuki softly reassured.

The grotesque abomination fully emerged from the host body, resembling a monstrous newborn calf, dripping in viscous, black ichor.

As it stood upright, its misshapen limbs stabbed into the surrounding walls, anchoring the pulsating black mass of its physical form. This wasn't merely an apparition or illusion; the creature had crossed the boundary into physical reality.

Yet when the monster's face lifted, Tatsuki froze for a moment.

Amid the writhing sinews and twisting flesh, faint traces of a human face remained.

"Tomoya?"

The name escaped his lips.

"What?!

Sayuri and Eriri turned toward the creature in shock.

Indeed, beneath the grotesque deformities was the unmistakable visage of Tomoya.

Sayuri covered her mouth in horror. "That vile scum who dragged Eriri into the abyss!"

Tears streamed down Eriri's face as she broke into sobs. "Why?! Why won't you leave me alone, even in death? You monster!"

"Kyahahaha!"

Tomoya's grotesque eyes rotated in their sockets, the spiraling motion accompanied by a sickening squelch.

"Traitor! Bastard! A pair of adulterers!" He howled, his face twisting into a deranged grin. "I died! Hahahaha!"

Then his tone shifted to a sinister calm. "But I've been reborn. And with my rebirth, I've gained power!"

He swung a massive claw, sending the nearby refrigerator flying across the room.

CRASH!

The appliance shattered against the wall, pieces scattering across the floor.

Sayuri and Eriri flinched, their faces pale with fear.

"Do you see?! This is the power I brought back from hell! Power to exact my revenge!"

Tomoya's voice dripped with madness as he glared at Tatsuki, awaiting a reaction.

Tatsuki, however, stood unflinching, his expression cold and indifferent.

Instead of fear, Tomoya was met with disappointment and disdain.

"What's with that look?!" Tomoya snarled. "Are you so terrified that you've gone numb?"

"Terrified? Of you?" Tatsuki chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You call that power? What a joke."

"What?!"

Tatsuki raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

SNAP!

Dark tendrils began to coil around Tomoya's grotesque form, summoned from the floor by Tatsuki's command.

"What is this?! What are you doing?!" Tomoya thrashed violently, his monstrous claws attempting to tear away the binding black mass.

But the more he struggled, the tighter the substance clung to him.

Within moments, the tendrils had completely immobilized him, leaving only his grotesque face exposed.

"What is this power?!" Tomoya roared in panic.

"This," Tatsuki said, stepping forward, "is real power."

He extended his palm, allowing a ripple of energy to emanate outward.

Zzzap!

A surge of black lightning enveloped Tomoya's restrained form.

"AAAAHHHH!!!"

Tomoya's screams echoed through the room as the lightning tore through his body. His flesh bubbled and burned, disintegrating under the relentless assault.

The room was filled with the acrid stench of decay as Tomoya's monstrous body began to dissolve into ash.

Sayuri and Eriri watched in stunned silence, their hearts pounding.

The horrific display of power was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

Finally, the black lightning ceased, leaving only a pile of smoldering ash where Tomoya had stood.

"It's over," Tatsuki said, turning back to the two women.

Eriri collapsed to the floor, her legs giving out as the adrenaline faded.

Sayuri, though visibly shaken, composed herself and stepped toward her husband's lifeless body. She placed a trembling hand near his nose, checking for any signs of life.

"Mom… is Dad…?" Eriri asked hesitantly.

Sayuri shook her head silently, confirming what they both feared.

Eriri's face became a mixture of emotions—grief, confusion, and relief.

While she had long harbored resentment toward her father, she had also clung to the faint hope that he might change. Now, that hope was gone forever.

Sayuri, on the other hand, seemed more pragmatic. Their marriage had been over for years, and his death, while tragic, felt like a release from the tensions that had plagued their family.

Still, his position as a diplomat meant his death would inevitably draw attention.

"We have to call the police," Sayuri said firmly, her tone regaining its usual composure.

Tatsuki nodded. "I'll help you handle the situation. For now, let's ensure Eriri gets some rest."
