Sam is the one in the black armor, and his opponent is the one in the red. Both of them are wearing helmets, so you can not see their faces unless they remove them.

Sam immediately uses his movement technique to get away from their previous location. Using the staff, his opponent continues to attack him. He can use both fire and wind elemental attacks effectively.

Currently, his opponent is attacking him with fire bullets. Those fire bullets, like actual bullets, are extremely fast and destructive. Fortunately, Sam is faster than those bullets, and he is doing so even without using the shadow movement technique.

People are aware that he may use the shadow movement technique, and they are prepared to defend against such an attack.

People may believe he is completely powerless because there is no shadow or anything similar in that location.
