Another World Domination

Chapter 8: Chapter 7 : The Rise of a Kingdom

December 1st, Thursday

Year 80 of the Shinobi World Calendar. 6:00 AM

He heard someone calling his name, and groggily pried his eyes open.

There, standing over him, was a woman with deep violet hair, her face as exquisitely beautiful as an elf from a fantasy anime. She gently patted his cheek.

"Are you an angel?" he mumbled, the first words out of his mouth after seeing her. He promptly drifted back to sleep.

Konan's face flushed crimson when she heard those words from Nagato. Was she really that beautiful that he'd say such a thing?

She sighed softly, watching Nagato fall back asleep, his face looking incredibly sweet and innocent. When did he get so cute? she wondered, shaking her head. What am I even saying?

Seeing that he'd immediately fallen back into a deep sleep, she gave up trying to wake him. She'd just let him rest for now, he deserved it.

She slipped off the edge of Nagato's bed and started straightening up things in his room. She then made sure to slide open the curtains to let the morning sun stream in.

She gazed at the breathtaking view from the window. The early sunlight was bathing the city in its golden rays, marking a first for Amegakure to be illuminated by such warm and beautiful light, instead of rain.

Her gaze shifted back to Nagato, still sleeping soundly on the bed. "Nagato," she said quietly, a gentle smile playing on her lips, "it seems like Amegakure won't be a rain-soaked city anymore. It's not crying like it used to, the light of hope that had faded is shining again."

After saying that, she walked out of Nagato's room. It was 6:00 AM now, so she figured she should get started on making breakfast for the two of them.

She made sure to close Nagato's door behind her.

She then headed towards the kitchen.

A few minutes later, she heard the sound of the door opening. Konan, who was setting things up at the table, watched Nagato emerge from his room.

He yawned widely, then looked toward the dining table. He saw Konan bustling around, preparing something. She was wearing casual clothes today, not her Akatsuki uniform, which surprised him a little.

After taking a moment to appreciate the sight, he headed to the bathroom to wash up.

When he entered the bathroom, he was taken aback by how modern it was. It felt like stepping into a present-day bathroom on Earth, not some other world.

Nevermind, he thought, semiconductor technology already exists in this world, why should I be surprised by something as small as a modern bathroom?

He turned on the tap at the sink and splashed his face with cold water. Then he grabbed some toothpaste and squeezed it onto the toothbrush he had taken.

While brushing his teeth, he looked at his reflection in the mirror. Not bad, he thought. His appearance at this moment resembled Nagato Uzumaki after successfully absorbing Killer Bee's chakra in Edo Tensei form. So young, he even looked like a high school kid.

But, he thought, this fringe is way too long, and it's obscuring my right eye. He considered: Maybe I should just pull it back into a ponytail? Like Eren Yeager's hairstyle.

After finishing brushing, he walked over to the bathtub and started running warm water. While waiting for the tub to fill, he grabbed a bar of soap from the rack and began lathering up his body. Then, he rinsed off with the showerhead.

He admitted that, initially, he'd been a little squeamish about touching this body's nether regions. But, since this body was now his, what else could he do?

Seeing the tub was full of warm water, he slipped in for a relaxing soak.

The warm water enveloped him. "This is great," he said. He leaned his head back against the rim of the tub.

Looking up at the ceiling, he mused, I never knew a bath could feel so amazing. Is this because I've been working so hard, or is it just this world?

"I'm so lucky I chose the Naruto world," he thought. "If I had chosen a medieval setting or even Attack on Titan, I don't know what I would do."

This second life doesn't seem so bad, he considered. Mom was right, I am destined to lead humanity towards victory.

After finishing his bath, he stepped out of the bathroom. He noticed a neatly laid-out white long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and a black belt on the clothing rack. He smiled, knowing who must've placed it there. He then put on the clothes.

He looked at himself in the mirror and thought he resembled an office worker heading out to his job.

Dressed and ready, he walked out and headed for the dining table. It was filled with a spread of delicious-looking food.

He sat down at the table, grabbed a plate and some rice, and didn't forget a spoon.

He noticed that Konan had already changed back into her Akatsuki outfit, clearly getting ready to head out.

He decided to ask, "Konan, aren't you going to eat?" he questioned hesitantly.

"I'll eat out," she replied. "It's 7:30 already, and I have to go to the TV and radio stations to deliver the orders you gave last night." After saying that, Konan opened the apartment door.

"Be careful, Konan," he said on reflex.

"Yeah," she responded, closing the door behind her.

Konan's departure instantly made the room feel quiet. He felt a little hollow. But honestly, Konan had made all this food just for him.

Konan, you really are so considerate, he thought.

Then he started to take some of the food that was on the table, and began eating.

25 Minutes Later

After finishing his meal, he needed to clean up the dirty bowls and plates. There was still food left over, some of it barely touched. It was because he was full.

He gathered the remaining food and stored it in the refrigerator.

He also made sure to take the dirty dishes into the kitchen.

Having finished everything, he walked to his room, ready to start his work.

After going in, he went over to his desk. He slid the chair out and took a seat. He took a document out from the desk drawer.

He placed the document on his desk. It was the document that he had been thinking about last night at dinner.

It was completely blank. Not a single word was written on it yet. Because he was just about to start writing it.

He began to write. This document would outline his system of governance and become the cornerstone of the country he'd be establishing tomorrow.

He wrote about the economic, political, and ideological systems he would be implementing.

5 Hours Later

Konan opened the door to her apartment and slipped off her shoes. She walked over to the kitchen to put away the things she'd bought. The weather was incredibly hot today. Who would have thought that Amegakure, once known as a land of rain, would now experience such warm, sunny weather?

She washed her hands at the sink. She didn't see any sign of Nagato. Where did he go?

Then, she heard the sound of someone writing in Nagato's room.

She switched on the TV, and then walked over to Nagato's room. She knocked softly on the door.

"Nagato, are you in there?" she asked. When she didn't hear a response, she opened the door.

"Huh… it's not locked?" Konan muttered softly.

After she stepped into Nagato's room, she saw that Nagato was deeply focused on something.

There were papers scattered everywhere on the floor. She picked one up and started to read the information on it.

From the information she read, it was detailing the form of government.

So, Nagato was working on something related to political systems? She glanced at the stack of documents on his desk.

Nagato stopped what he was doing and put his pen down on the desk. He stretched his body a bit, from side to side, to get rid of the stiffness.

Then, he got up from his chair and turned to greet Konan. He saw she was no longer wearing her Akatsuki cloak, and was dressed in casual clothes.

"Konan, you got back quick," he asked, a bit awkwardly.

Konan was taken aback by that. "It's already 12:55 in the afternoon, Nagato," she said, figuring he'd been so engrossed he'd lost all track of time.

Hearing that, he was surprised. No wonder his butt was numb, he'd been sitting in the chair for 5 hours.

"Konan, I have some good news for you," he said, grabbing one of the documents stacked on the table and handing it to Konan.

Konan took the document and began reading it. After reading it, she was a little stunned by the contents.

"Nagato, did you make this in just 5 hours?" she asked. Even though the document Nagato had given her contained only a bit of information on the political system, she figured he must've finished everything by now.

"Yes, I created it in just 5 hours, so what do you think?" he replied. The documents stacked up on the desk contained information about the systems of government he would be using—economy, politics, ideology, laws, and the framework of society.

"Nagato, are you serious about establishing a kingdom?" Konan asked. She had never imagined Nagato wanted to become a king. However, the system he was proposing seemed vastly different from any that had ever existed in this world.

Besides, was it okay for a shinobi like them to seize control of a country? Wouldn't that violate the unwritten rules of the ninja world? If Nagato became king, would there be any pushback from other nations? Although Konan had previously supported Nagato in killing the Daimyo and having Nagato take full power over the Land of Rain, what she meant was that Nagato would appoint someone as the new Daimyo and use them as a puppet leader.

"After everything I did today, you still think it's a joke?" he asked, clearly upset.

Hearing that from Nagato made her realize that she had upset him. So she quickly replied, "That's not what I meant, I was just thinking, is it okay for a shinobi like us to become royalty?"

She knew that in this world, no shinobi had ever become royalty. Although there were shinobi clans that claimed to be nobles, they were nothing more than pretenders. The real nobility were people with actual noble titles. And currently, the only people with such titles were the Daimyo families who governed various countries throughout the world, thought Nagato.

"Why shouldn't we?" he responded. "We can do whatever we want, we're born free. We can be anything we want. Why do you limit your thinking like that, Konan? I'm going to become a king to fulfill Yahiko's dream for this country. And if we don't do it, then who will? Someone has to start, we need to make this country rise up and change the world for the better. Isn't that what our dream was?" he knew he had a lot more to say, but he figured that what he'd said so far was enough to wake Konan up from the world's flawed ideologies.

Nagato's passionate words reminded her of Yahiko. And Nagato, you've finally returned to the right path. Since that day, you were just following Madara's orders, but now thankfully everything's over.

Your words made me realize that the ideology of a shinobi not being allowed to interfere with the Daimyo's system is wrong. Trash ideals like that should have been abolished a long time ago. Why do the Shinobi World Wars happen so often? It's because of the various interests of the Daimyo. Shinobi are nothing more than tools for the Daimyo, nothing more than that.

"You're right, we were born free. Free to be whatever we want," Konan said with a smile.

Seeing Konan smile so sweetly, something made his heart race. What was this feeling? Why did he feel so happy just seeing Konan smile?

"Nagato, I've made the announcements on TV and radio as you ordered. Also, Hirashi, the leader of the Imperial Samurai, will arrive at the Akatsuki building in an hour," Konan said, before heading out of Nagato's room.

Hirashi Toyotomi, huh? What kind of man was he, to kill his own master? Someone who has betrayed his own master is not trustworthy.

But his jutsu is indeed terrifying. To be able to accelerate time.

He went back to his desk and grabbed the important document he had already finished and put it in his desk drawer.

This document was vital for the kingdom he would be establishing. Without this, his kingdom wouldn't exist.

He'd eat lunch first, and then get back to work. His next task was to design firearms.

Nagato walked out of his room and into the living room, where he slumped into the soft sofa. Konan was still in the kitchen, seemingly making something.

He glanced at the TV and a news report caught his attention. "Today's news: Miss Konan just made an important announcement to all of us. Here's the clip."

He couldn't help but be amazed by the tech tree of this world.

"I'm Konan, Angel of Amegakure, and I just received an order from Pain. All of Amegakure's citizens are required to attend an important event tomorrow. This event will contain critical information for everyone, as Pain will be giving a speech. This event will be held at Yamagari Meadow and will begin at 10:00 AM."

"That was the announcement we just received from Miss Konan. Amegakure's citizens are required to be at Yamagari Meadow tomorrow. Miss Konan will also provide free food there."

Hearing about free food caught him off-guard. Was the Akatsuki really that wealthy, to provide free food to 800,000 people?

"Konan, did you promise the public that you'd provide free food?" he asked, turning his head toward Konan, who was walking towards him.

Konan then sat next to him, drinking some cold juice, before saying, "Yes, I promised them. Even if this was your order, it's impossible for everyone to walk 10 kilometers just to listen to your speech. So to make up for that, I promised free food to everyone. Nobody turns down free food, right?" she said with a playful smile.

"But, do we have enough money for that?" This was his worry. He didn't care about handing out free food if they had the money, but what if they didn't? He would be embarrassed.

Hearing that from Nagato, she was a little surprised. Before, Nagato hadn't even thought about that.

"The Akatsuki initially had 7 billion ryo that we collected over the years, and we spent 2 billion ryo running the tailed beast capture operations. We still have about 5 billion ryo left. Also, we have about 30 billion ryo in state funds, so we have a total of 35 billion Konoha ryo," Konan answered.

Hearing such a fantastical number stunned him. He had no idea that the Land of Rain and the Akatsuki organization had so much money. 35 billion Konoha ryo, if you convert that, it's about 35 billion US dollars.

For a small, closed-off country like the Land of Rain to have a GDP that large was quite extraordinary.

By the way, it should be noted that the Land of Rain didn't have its own national currency. They used Konoha's currency as their official currency because in this world, Konoha's currency was used as an international trade currency similar to the US dollar.

The reason why Konoha's currency was the international currency was because of Konoha's consecutive victories in the Shinobi World Wars.

Konoha had won all 3 of the world wars. How would the Fire Country's economy not boom with such success?

"So, we have 35 billion ryo in the bank? That's a lot, I didn't know we were that rich," he said.

"The 35 billion ryo is the money for the nation and the organization. Also, Nagato, you only have 1 million ryo in your personal account," Konan said flatly.

Hearing that made him pause for a moment. Konan was right, that money was the nation's money, he couldn't do something vile like corruption, which was even worse than murder.

He didn't want to be the person he hated.

The real Nagato had 1 million ryo in his personal account? So if that number was added to the money he got from the suitcase, then it'd be 51 million Konoha ryo. That's a lot.

"Nagato, if you're going to be king and tomorrow is the coronation, do you want me to make you a crown?" Konan asked. When she heard Nagato wanted to be king, she thought about making a crown for him. But she was afraid Nagato wouldn't like the crown she made.

"Can you make the crown in just one day? Also, what would the model look like?" he questioned.

"If you want me to, I'll make sure the crown will be finished tomorrow. The model looks like this," Konan responded, taking a piece of paper out of her pocket.

He took the drawing and looked at it… Isn't this a crown for a woman? he thought. Seriously? He had to wear this embarrassing thing on a day that will be remembered by history?

Seeing Nagato's displeased expression made her worried. "You don't like it? If so, I'll make a different model," Konan said softly.

Hearing Konan's worried tone made him nervous. Was his displeased expression that obvious?

"It's not… it's not that I don't like it, Konan. Isn't this crown for a woman?" he asked, forcing a gentle smile so Konan wouldn't get upset.

"A crown for a woman?" Konan replied, confused. She tilted her head. Isn't that what all crowns look like? Why was Nagato saying it was for a woman? She stared at Nagato strangely.

Seeing the strange look in Konan's eyes, he realized this was another world, not Earth. This world follows East Asian culture, not European culture. So, it would be weird if he said that a crown was for a woman.

In East Asian culture, kings or emperors do not wear crowns. They simply wear traditional hats of their own royal families.

And the crown that Konan gave him was a design for a woman's crown from East Asian culture. He didn't like that.

He stood up and walked to his room to grab something.

"Nagato?" Konan said, puzzled by Nagato's actions.

After a while, she saw Nagato come back carrying some drawing tools.

Nagato then sat back down on the sofa and started to draw. After 5 minutes of drawing, he handed his drawing to Konan.

Konan was surprised that Nagato could draw. She'd never seen him draw before.

She took the drawing Nagato had given her, and then looked at it.

This…

Seeing the surprised look on Konan's face made him feel proud. Ever since he had discovered anime, he'd been practicing his drawing skills.

Konan looked at the beautiful crown in the drawing. The fine details and the perfect shading made it a masterpiece. How was Nagato able to draw this in just 5 minutes?

It was Emperor Napoleon III's crown.

The crown he'd drawn was a clear nod to the Emperor Napoleon III's crown from the French Empire. What made his design unique was that instead of the traditional cross, he'd replaced it with a majestic eagle, its wings fully spread.

"I've never seen a crown quite like this before," she admitted, "but I gotta say, it's way more striking than anything I've designed." Truth be told, she was skeptical if such a piece could even be crafted within 24 hours.

As for materials, that wasn't a worry for her. The Miraishi family had an abundance of lavish jewels - diamonds, gems, gold bars, and emeralds - all spoils amassed over centuries of their family being daimyos.

"I want you to make a crown like that for me. Oh, and while you're at it, whip up two sets of clothing based on these," he said, handing over two new sketches he'd dashed off while Konan had been lost in thought.

Konan took the drawings from Nagato, her gaze carefully taking them in. She'd never encountered styles like these before, not even close. In fact, she was sure that nowhere in the entire ninja world would you find clothing like this. Was this some kind of new design? Something Nagato had just come up with?

Outfit Design 1:

Outfit Design 2:

The more she examined them, the more a sense of unease grew. The clothing had zero cultural ties to the ninja world, feeling utterly foreign and new.

How could Nagato have come up with such styles in such a short time?

Thinking about it, there had been something off with Nagato since the incident at the tree...

...What are you thinking, Konan? Nagato is still Nagato. Isn't it great if he has gained some knowledge that is useful?

She looked at Konan, who suddenly shook her head left to right a few times, and then stopped.

Did Konan not like his designs?

"I accept the crown design, as well as these two clothing designs. The first one is for you, and the second is for military uniforms, am I right?" Konan asked. She'd figured it out instantly, the style screamed military.

As she expected of Konan, she knew his intent without him saying so.

"Yeah, you got it," he confirmed.

"Then I'll get to work on them." After saying this, Konan made the two designs merge into her body. She stood up from the sofa and walked towards the apartment exit. She also didn't forget to grab her Akatsuki cloak that hung on a standing wooden hanger behind the entrance door.

(Note: Nagato and Konan's apartment has two entrances/exits)

Truth be told, she was swamped today. "I'm heading out, Nagato," she said, then shut the apartment door.

"Be careful, Konan!" he called out, loud enough for her to hear.

When the room fell silent again, he let out a small sigh, then said out loud, "Alright, looks like I should get back to my work as well. But first, I need to grab some lunch."

Twenty minutes later, after eating…

After rinsing his plate, he went over to his desk. He took a sheet of blue paper out of the drawer.

He put the paper on the table, and picked up a white pen from beside it.

"Firearms, what should I make?" With the technology of this world, crafting weapons akin to World War 1 era ones shouldn't be a problem.

People here don't know the proper formula for good gunpowder. But based on data he read, their gunpowder quality was similar to what was commonly used back on Earth in the mid-16th century.

The firearms in this world were based on the Japanese tanegashima rifle, but they called it something else here, not Tanegashima. They called it the Kento rifle.

Kento Rifle:

The Kento rifle was invented by a young man in his 20s named Kento Fumio. Kento had created it five years ago. Since then, the Kento rifle had spread throughout the ninja world.

That said, the Kento rifle was complete junk in his eyes. It often misfired, sometimes even exploding upon firing. Also, the Kento rifle was useless if it got wet. The problems were caused by poor gunpowder formulas.

So, first things first, he needed to make smokeless gunpowder.

To make smokeless gunpowder, he first had to create Nitrocellulose.

This would be the core component of cordite M. This cordite M would be the propellant used in firearms. To make nitrocellulose, all you needed was nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Both were easy to produce and mass-produce.

Basic materials for making Cordite M

Nitrocellulose (NC): Nitrocellulose is a chemical compound made from cellulose fibers obtained from wood or cotton that are processed with a mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Nitrocellulose is used as the main ingredient in the production of cordite and other explosives.

Nitroglycerin (NG): Nitroglycerin is a chemical compound made from a mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid with glycerol. Nitroglycerin is used as an explosive and a mixing agent in the production of cordite.

Nitroguanidine (NQ): Nitroguanidine is an organic nitro chemical compound that is used as an additive in the production of cordite. Nitroguanidine is a stable explosive with a high rate of combustion, making it useful for increasing the power and performance of cordite.

To produce Cordite M, these three base materials are mixed in the correct proportions, and then processed using specialized technology to create gunpowder with the desired quality.

The reason he chose Cordite M smokeless gunpowder over Ballistite, even though they were both created at around the same time, was because:

Safety: Cordite M was safer to store and use due to its stable nature, which reduces the risk of accidental fires or explosions.

Reliability: Cordite M has better reliability because it produces a more consistent gas pressure, allowing firearms to fire more accurately.

Efficiency: Cordite M is more efficient in its use because it can generate more firing energy using a smaller amount than Ballistite.

Another reason was that Cordite M was still in use during the WW2 era, even after 5 years since WW2 ended. While Ballistite was used sparingly in WW2, it was eventually phased out. Italy and Japan were still using Ballistite, but not as much as they had in WW1. That showed that Cordite M was superior to Ballistite, even though both were developed around the WW1 era. Ballistite was invented 13 years before Cordite M.

Ballistite was developed in 1888 by Alfred Nobel from Sweden. It was used by all Central Powers countries in WW1.

Cordite M was developed in 1901 by Sir James Dewar and Sir Frederick Augustus Abel of Great Britain. It was used by almost all of the Entente countries, especially the British colonies.

He wasn't worried about the specialized technology for producing Cordite M, as this country's chemical industry was already pretty advanced. Remember the 2nd Shinobi World War 26 years ago? Amegakure was known for its poisonous gas. The chemical industry in this country has developed quite a lot after two decades, enough to mass-produce Cordite M in large quantities.

With all this in mind, he began to write down the formula for cordite M smokeless gunpowder on the blue paper. He also wrote down the formulas for creating the ingredients.

After fifteen minutes of writing, he was finished. The 17.6 x 25 cm blue paper was now full of formulas and notes.

He then grabbed the blueprint of the gunpowder he had just created, and placed it next to the table.

He tapped the table with his pen, then said, "With this country's industry level, I should be able to make World War 1 era firearms, right?"

Even though the Rain country wasn't a big industrial power, it was still an industrial nation.

So then, just make a German Maxim machine gun. The Maschinengewehr 08, also known as MG 08, was the standard machine gun of the German Imperial Army in World War 1. This machine gun was an adaptation of Hiram S. Maxim's original Maxim 1884 machine gun.

MG 08 Machine Gun:

The MG 08 machine gun had an effective range of 2 kilometers, and a maximum range of 3.7 kilometers, turning it into a reaper for any living thing within its range.

The MG 08 had a bullet projectile speed of about 878 meters per second. It was almost impossible for even ninjas to avoid it unless they possessed some kind of odd ability like Obito. The MG 08 used 7.92x57 mm Mauser caliber bullets. The MG 08 was also equipped with a water-cooled feature (3.7 liters of water), that served to cool down the barrel of the rifle.

Okay, that's decided. The MG 08 machine gun will be the standard machine gun of the future Erlanian Kingdom.

For the main standard military rifle of the Erlanian Empire, he thought the bolt-action karabiner 98 would be a perfect fit. Besides being easy to produce, the Kar98 was also very cheap. Cheap doesn't mean low-quality, the Kar98 had a very low rate of jamming when used in mud or water.

Kar98:

The Kar98 was the most widely used rifle in history after the AK-47 assault rifle.

The Kar98 also used the 7.92x57 mm caliber bullets. So, he wouldn't have to produce two different types of rifle bullets.

The Kar98 had an effective range of 1 kilometer when used by a skilled sniper, and a maximum range of 4.7 kilometers. Amazing, right? No wonder Nazi Germany kept producing this rifle until the end of the war. Besides, the Kar98 had a bullet projectile speed of about 760 meters per second, for a single reload.

The standard military rifles had been decided, now onto pistols. Pistols were very important for soldiers on the battlefield. If a soldier ran out of ammo for their main rifle, they could use a pistol instead.

He had initially thought of the German Luger P08 pistol, but he disliked its design. So, he chose the American M1911 pistol instead.

M1911 Pistol:

The M1911 used 11.43x23 mm caliber bullets. The M1911 had an effective range of 50 meters. Besides, the speed of the bullet projectiles fired from the M1911 was about 253 meters per second.

After deciding what firearms he would make, Nagato then thought about the bullet materials. For bullet casings, he would use brass. Then, for the bullet projectiles, he would use lead because lead ore was very abundant in this country.

After thinking about all that, Nagato finally began to work on the blueprint for his plan.

At the same time…

"Miss Konan, I will do my best to finish this crown before His Majesty Pain's inauguration ceremony tomorrow."

Konan, hearing this, nodded with satisfaction. She was currently at the largest jewelry company in town. Her business here was complete, she was about to head to her next appointment.

"Then, I will be on my way, Director Naoto-san," she said, getting up from the sofa and walking out of the building, her expression cold.

Once outside, she immediately deployed her paper wings, and flew towards her next location. The next company she would be visiting was a clothing manufacturer.

The distance between the jewelry company and the clothing company was not too far, because they were located in the business district.

Konan arrived in front of the clothing company building. This was one of the largest clothing manufacturers in Amegakure. She then descended from the sky, and walked toward the entrance.

As she entered the building, the busy sounds of people working suddenly fell silent. She ignored the situation, and headed straight for the administration desk.

"How may I help you, Miss Konan?" The administration staff asked her respectfully.

"Yes, I want to meet with Director Harumi. Have her meet me in the company's guest room," she said to the administrator named Kanazawa.

"If that is so, Miss Konan. Please wait in the company's guest room, while we contact the director," Kanazawa responded professionally.

"Okay," she said.

She then walked toward the guest room. The reason she chose to meet in the guest room was because she didn't want to go all the way up to the top floor. Besides, she still had a lot of work to do.

For instance, she still needed to meet with people who were managing the arrangements for the inauguration ceremony. She also needed to gather the shinobi who would be on duty at the ceremony. Her day was going to be busy, from today to tomorrow.

After waiting for three minutes in one of the provided chairs, she finally saw a young woman enter. She stood to shake her hand.

The woman who sat opposite her was the director of this company. From the information she had, this woman was the previous director's daughter.

"Miss Konan, how may I help you?" The female director asked.

She didn't answer the director's question, but took the two designs Nagato had drawn from her palm. She gave the two designs to Director Mizuka Harumi.

"I want you to make 50 of clothing design 2, and 1 of clothing design 1 within 24 hours from now. Is that doable?" Konan asked.

"I'm sorry... Miss Konan. These outfits are for military use, aren't they? We can finish 51 outfits within 24 hours, but we don't know the correct sizes. If you could, Miss Konan, please provide us with the size data for the people these outfits will be made for," replied Mizuka Harumi.

She lowered her gaze, "I forgot about something so important..." she said, then let out a deep sigh.

Looks like, she had to cancel the use of guards at the inauguration tomorrow. She looked up, and stared at Director Mizuka seriously.

Mizuka was sweating cold when she was suddenly stared at by Miss Konan. Before, she only thought the rumors of Miss Konan's terrifying cold gaze were just rumors. But it seemed that the rumors were true.

"Then, just make one set of clothing design 1 for tomorrow. Remember, you have to make this outfit with the best quality materials, because Pain will be wearing it tomorrow. I will send the payment after the goods are finished," she took a piece of paper out of her cloak pocket.

"Here, this is for Pain's body measurements." She put the paper on the table, then walked away, leaving Director Harumi alone in the room.

Mizuka Harumi looked at the clothing designs laid out on the table. "This style of clothing is definitely for military use, and a style I've never seen before. Whoever made this design is truly a design genius..."

One hour later…

At the Akatsuki Building.

Nagato, engrossed in sketching out his weapon blueprints, was suddenly interrupted by a knock at the door. He stopped what he was doing and went to answer it.

"Who's out there?" he asked.

"Pain-sama, there's someone downstairs who wants to meet with you," came a young man's voice from behind the door.

Oh... a servant, he thought, he wondered who that was. "Tell them I'll be down shortly."

"Understood, Pain-sama." The young servant then left the door.

By the way, the Akatsuki building wasn't just inhabited by him and Konan. The building had many rooms inside. These rooms were used by Akatsuki members and the people who worked in the building.

The 10th floor was the highest floor in the building, a floor that no Akatsuki member was allowed to enter, not even once. The people who worked on this floor had to be completely free of spies, and of course, loyal to Pain.

The 10th floor was where his room was, and where the rooms holding the bodies of the various Pains were stored.

The person who arrived must be the head samurai from the palace. Alright, time to meet this Hiraishi Toyotomi. Should he use Pain Tendo or his original body?... Okay, Pain Tendo it is.

He sat on the floor and leaned his body against the wall. He closed his eyes slowly, and then felt his consciousness connect to the body of Pain Tendo.

He opened his eyes again, looking at an unfamiliar scene. The room was filled with strange equipment. He looked down at the small ice crystals that were visible on the surface he was stepping on. It seemed like he was trapped inside some kind of bizarre capsule.

This room was just like what was described in Nagato's diary, Page 10 about Pain.

In the corner of the capsule, a red button was visible. He then pressed the red button, which immediately opened the capsule that had been confining him.

He came out slowly, looking at his pale, corpse-like hands. He wasn't surprised at this, since this body was indeed a corpse. He walked out of this strange room - 'no, it's not fair to call it strange' - the room had another name, the Pain room. This room was used to store unused Pain bodies in a capsule. Pain bodies would decay when not in use, so to prevent that, Nagato had built a capsule that was -50 degrees Celsius, which would halt the decay of the corpse.

When a Pain wasn't in use, the chakra flow connected to it would be cut off. This caused the Pain Rikudo jutsu that was embedded in the Pain bodies to become inactive.

Pain Rikudo no Jutsu is a jutsu that can revive dead vital organs, like the heart, brain, lungs, so that they can function again. In medical terms, you could say that the Pain corpses are brought back to life.

However, this 'back to life' state wasn't permanent. When his chakra flow was disconnected, Pain would return to being a corpse.

It was impossible to perfectly manipulate a corpse, to make it talk and act as if it were still living. That defied biological law.

This was the real world, not some anime anymore. The laws of physics still applied, even with bizarre energy like chakra.

To prevent damage to Pain's body, whenever Pain came out of the extreme -50 degrees Celsius capsule, the original Nagato would use the abilities of Pain Jigokudō to heal them using the King of Hell. This also included Pain Jigokudō itself.

Actually, each Pain could use Nagato's other abilities, but the original Nagato limited that. That's because every Pain had a specific role and purpose in a fight. Either attacking, defending, scouting, or even healing.

Since he was currently using Pain not for fighting, he didn't have to do that.

He stretched his right hand out, and then said, "Jigokudō."

Then, a strange creature slowly appeared next to him. The creature looked like a Shinto priest, and had a pair of Rinnegan eyes. On the creature's forehead was a Japanese character meaning 'King'.

That creature was the King of Hell.

The King of Hell was a god-like entity that controlled life and death. Rinnegan users like him could summon the King of Hell, and have authority over it using the power of Rikudo.

Honestly, he doubted if the King of Hell was truly a god-like entity. Because at a glance, he could tell that the King of Hell had no consciousness or intelligence at all. It was similar to the Uchiha Clan's Susano'o.

Speaking of that, the entity that was the closest thing to a god was that creature, in his opinion.

After finishing up his thoughts, he immediately entered the King of Hell's mouth. Inside, he could still see the outside world, since the King of Hell shared its vision with him.

He saw the King of Hell begin to slowly chew him. Pain Tendo's body, which had been damaged by the extreme cold, began to recover.

It only took one minute for Pain Tendo's body to fully recover, as if he were still alive. After the healing process was complete, he came out of the King of Hell's mouth.

"I'm confused, why didn't Nagato heal his own crippled body? When he has this ability?" This was a question that he often thought about after watching the Pain arc.

Even when he was reincarnated into the world of Naruto, this question still hadn't been answered.

Think about that later, right now he has to meet Hiraishi.

He also made sure to close the door again. Luckily, this door could be opened from the inside, or else he would've had to use Shinra Tensei.

He walked towards the elevator. After entering the elevator, he pressed the button for number 1, because he was going to the first floor. But honestly, this was surprising. Even elevator technology already existed in this world. It helped a lot. He had to thank Kishimoto.

Thanks, Kishimoto, for creating this strange world.

He opened the door and walked in. Hiraishi was already in the room waiting for him. He then sat on the provided chair.

This room felt like an interrogation room. There was nothing there except a chair, a table, and a light for illumination.

He crossed his legs, and then said,

"So you're Hiraishi, the head samurai of the palace, a daimyo?"

Hiraishi didn't look like what he had imagined. He'd thought that the person who had killed the entire daimyo family was going to be some old, power-hungry lunatic. Seems he was wrong.

Hiraishi had typical Japanese features. He looked like a man around 26 years old. He had black hair tied back, and black pupils that were typical of East Asians, which made him look like someone from the Yamato ethnicity of Japan.

He was wearing a red Haori over a white Nagagi Kimono, with black Umanori-style Hakama pants. It made him sure that Hiraishi was indeed a samurai.

While Nagato was sizing up Hiraishi…

Hiraishi was doing the same to Nagato.

He didn't immediately answer the question that this man named Pain had given. He had been curious about the new leader of the Amegakure village for some time. What kind of person was he that had defeated Hanzo and ended the long civil war that was happening in the country?

It seemed that the rumors were right. The man called Pain was indeed very powerful. He could feel a terrifying aura radiating from Pain's body, especially his eyes. It was like they were emitting limitless power upon the user.

Those strange, purple pupils had a wave pattern. It was like the Rikudo eyes in legends. So what the rumors said was right, Pain did have the same eyes as the founder of the ninja world.

Yes, it was the Rinnegan.

"Yes, Pain-sama. I am the one who killed the entire daimyo family," Hiraishi replied with a blank expression. As if he didn't feel guilty at all for the murders that he committed.

"What was your reason for killing the entire daimyo family? You know that killing the head of state is a serious crime, don't you?" he asked. After all, a daimyo was a head of state.

"Yes, I know that. But those bastards called daimyo were not fit to lead this country."

Hearing that statement from Hiraishi shocked him. Not everyone could say such things, especially in this era where the power of the daimyo was supreme.

"Why do you say that?" he asked, his tone gentle.

He wanted to know why Hiraishi would say such things about the daimyo.

He looked at Pain, then said, "When the earthquake happened yesterday, we were all getting ready to go to the underground shelter. Then, I proposed to the daimyo that the citizens of Kyoto be evacuated as well, but the daimyo refused. I couldn't accept that ridiculous decision that would sacrifice 60 thousand human lives just for the sake of three lives."

Hearing his reasoning, he couldn't blame Hiraishi for what he did. The earthquake yesterday was very powerful. If the citizens weren't evacuated to a safe place, there would've been a lot of casualties.

"Then why did you torture them? It wasn't necessary, was it?" he asked. It was true, the three people that Hiraishi had murdered all had signs of torture.

"It wasn't me who did that, it was my subordinates. They were letting out their anger that they had been holding towards the daimyo family. Do you know that the daimyo had made the lives of the people of Kyoto miserable for a long time? When people outside of Kyoto lived comfortably, they still suffered under a corrupt daimyo's rule. The economic inequality between the people and the rulers caused this incident."

Hiraishi explained in detail how the incident happened, and the reasoning behind it.

He didn't know that the motive behind the murder ran so deep. So Hiraishi's actions were only one of the triggers for an incident that would have happened sooner or later. The problem originally stemmed from poverty, corruption, and economic inequality between the rich and the poor.

The Kyoto prefecture, which was directly ruled by the daimyo, was indeed in a worse economic situation than the prefectures that were ruled by Nagato and Konan. This was due to the difference in policy between the daimyo and Nagato and Konan.

Nagato and Konan focused on the development of the industrial sector, while the daimyo was just continuing Kyoto's leadership from the previous daimyo without any innovation. This caused Kyoto to become a backward area compared to other areas.

(Info: A prefecture in Japan is equivalent to a province in Canada)

"I understand your reasoning. Now, about ninjutsu. The jutsu you used on those three people was a very unique and special ninjutsu, a jutsu that can accelerate time," he stopped talking to watch Hiraishi's reaction.

He was shocked that the workings of his newly developed jutsu were known so quickly. Just as he had expected from the man who had killed Hanzo.

Seeing the surprised expression on Hiraishi's face proved his analysis correct. When he watched the anime, he had never seen any characters with abilities that related to time.

So, was this guy a powerful character who wasn't shown in the anime?

He looked seriously at Pain. "I can't reveal my secret jutsu to you."

Seeing Hiraishi's serious expression didn't surprise him. Anyone would say the same thing, when someone they had just met asked them to reveal their secrets. Especially for ninjas or samurais, secret jutsu were lifesavers in battles.

"Alright, if you don't want to tell me about it, it's okay, but–" the aura around him began to change. It went from being calm to filled with very strong chakra.

"I want you to join a special organization that I will form later." After saying this, he stood up and opened the door, then walked away leaving Hiraishi alone in the room.

Cold sweat was dripping down his face. "That aura... it was so terrifying. I thought I was going to die..." He looked at the door which was still open. No wonder Hanzo lost against him. Pain was this strong. Pain, you're a lucky man, because from this day forward, I, Hiraishi Toyotomi, will always be loyal to you.

He had deliberately shown his aura to Hiraishi, so that Hiraishi would understand the difference in strength between them.

The next day…

December 2nd, Friday

Year 80 of the Ninja World Calendar. 9:55 AM

This day will be etched in history as one that forever alters the course of humankind.

He was a bundle of nerves, and for good reason. He was about to speak in front of thousands of people, something he'd never done before, not even in front of a small crowd.

He caught his reflection in the mirror - a young man with short, spiky red hair, sporting a grey and black military-style outfit. The young man certainly looked anxious.

"Get it together, me... This is the first step towards your dream."

He'd decided to cut his hair, by the way. He felt the Nagato hairstyle he previously had wasn't his thing, plus the bangs were way too long. They kept getting in his eyes, so he chopped them off. Now, his hair was similar to the typical isekai protagonist, because, in his opinion, it looked cool.

Konan had said, it looked nice too.

Yeah, that's pretty much what he looked like now.

Right now, he was at the speech platform – nothing too fancy. He wasn't expecting it to be, considering it was put together in less than 20 hours.

He opened the door and stepped out of his room. Konan was waiting for him. She held a transparent glass box in both hands. Inside, a crown of solid gold, adorned with several emeralds.

He'd imagined the crown would be beautiful, but not this beautiful.

"Nagato, are you ready?" Konan asked, her voice tinged with hesitation.

He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them, meeting Konan's gaze with a serious expression, his fists clenched. "I'm ready," he said.

"Then go out there and give the best speech of your life, Nagato-kun," Konan replied with a genuine smile.

Wait…did she just call me -kun?

He saw the joyful expression on Konan's pretty face, and he suddenly felt that same feeling again.

His heart was racing, just from looking at her smile. What was this feeling?

"Leave it to me," he responded awkwardly, then headed towards the main stage.

"Nagato, no need to be nervous. I'm always here to support you, no matter what," Konan called out to him as he walked away.

He heard Konan's encouraging words as he went. He hadn't expected her to say something like that. Was that...a confession of love?

In response, he just gave her a wave from behind, then stepped onto the main stage - the place where he would give his speech and declare the founding of his kingdom.

A podium was waiting, with a microphone already set up.

...

The crowd began to whisper as word spread that their leader, Pain-sama, had arrived.

A six-year-old boy in the crowd piped up, "I wonder why Pain-sama called us all here."

An old man standing nearby answered, "From what grandpa knows, Pain-sama will be giving an important speech today."

"Important speech? What's that, grandpa?" the boy asked.

A young man, maybe 21 years old, replied, "Pain-sama might give a speech about the earthquake we had yesterday. Besides, this is the first time Pain-sama is making a public appearance. Maybe his speech will be about more than just the earthquake."

"How do you know that, Hideki-nii?" the boy asked, curious.

Hideki smiled and playfully pinched the boy's cheek. "Because I'm smarter than you, Erlic."

"Don't pinch my cheek, it hurts, nii," Erlic said, batting Hideki's hand away.

"Oh, sorry, sorry," Hideki replied, laughing.

"Today, we'll all finally see what Pain-sama looks like. Since he won the civil war and took over the position of Amekage from Hanzo, Pain-sama has never shown his face to the public," a young woman in front of them commented.

"According to rumors, I heard that Pain-sama has the same eyes as the founder of the ninja world, the Sage of Six Paths. Is that true?" Hideki asked.

"I don't know about that, Hideki, but I do know that Pain-sama is the leader of a very powerful criminal organization called Akatsuki," the young woman replied. They seemed to know each other.

"Everything you're saying is correct. Pain-sama does have the same eyes as the Sage of Six Paths, the Rinnegan dojutsu. The Akatsuki organization led by Pain-sama is feared by shinobi from other villages. All its members are S-class rogue shinobi from around the world. That alone shows how powerful Pain-sama is," the old man said.

"Wow, Akatsuki is so amazing. I want to be a part of Akatsuki someday," Erlic exclaimed cheerfully.

Hideki stared at the old man with surprise. "You know your stuff, Grandpa."

He stroked the hair of his grandson, whom he was carrying. "Erlic, you can be a part of them too. But for now, let's just wait for Pain-sama's speech."

"Okay, Grandpa," Erlic replied obediently.

They heard footsteps from behind the stage.

A young man with short, dark red hair came into view. He was dressed in a style they'd never seen before. The young man walked toward the podium.

Immediately, everyone's thought was:

Is that Pain? Hanzo was defeated by a young man who doesn't look a day over 30.

Everyone was stunned, but that shock quickly turned into cheers. They didn't care that Pain was a young man. The results of Pain's governance over the last 10 years had never disappointed them.

Erlic, still being carried by his grandfather, asked, "Is that Pain-sama?"

"Yes, that's Pain-sama. Look at the pattern in his eyes. It's the Rinnegan symbol, like in the legends."

"I can't believe that young guy is Pain-sama, he looks even younger than me," Hideki said, looking incredulous.

"His youthful appearance is probably the result of some kind of ninjutsu," Himeko replied.

"Quiet, Pain-sama is about to speak," the old man said.

...

He heard the cheers from the crowd welcoming him.

"Pain-sama!"

"Pain-sama, I love you!"

"Long live Pain-sama!"

Those were the words he was hearing from the thousands of people in front of him.

He stood at the podium. The proclamation document was already there.

Behind him, five anbu were standing guard, looking serious. He could sense the chakra of many jonin-level ninja around the stage. He also felt a strong chakra that he recognized in the distance. That had to be Samurai Hiraishi.

Alright, what's the first thing I should say?

He took a deep breath and exhaled.

In front of him were thousands of people eager to hear his speech. He even saw multiple cameras focused on him.

To be honest, he was sweating a little. In his previous life, he had never been stared at by thousands of people at once.

Yamagari Meadow was packed with people, maybe around 800,000. Luckily, the weather wasn't too hot. And he was also thankful that it wasn't raining today.

He looked out at the thousands of people standing there, all dressed in traditional Edo-era Japanese clothing. There were still many people with weary, unkempt, and malnourished faces in the crowd. This made him realize that no matter how advanced the technology of his world was, if that technology was controlled by feudal lords, it wouldn't have much impact on civilization.

He swallowed, then spoke with a serious tone. "You must be wondering who the person standing in front of you is."

"Even though I look like an 18-year-old, it's true. I am Pain, the leader of the Amegakure Village." As he said this, he unleashed an incredibly strong aura of chakra, then immediately suppressed it.

The crowd seemed to already accept that he was indeed Pain, after feeling his aura.

"Okay, seems like you guys accept me. So let me introduce myself. My name is Nagato, just Nagato, no last name. But that will soon change."

"Today, I want to announce something important to all of you, something that may change your lives forever. But before that, I would like to offer my condolences to the victims of the earthquake that happened yesterday." He paused so everyone could absorb his words.

Several people in the crowd showed sad expressions. He saw this and smiled inwardly.

Nagato continued. "Yesterday, we all experienced a terrible earthquake. If 'our angel, Konan-sama' hadn't evacuated everyone in this country immediately, there would have been many casualties for sure." He spoke with a mix of sadness and relief in his voice.

"This wouldn't have been possible without the trust you all placed in us. If you didn't believe Konan-sama's word about the evacuation, perhaps some of you wouldn't be here today. But I'm grateful that you trusted that word. And as a result, you survived the earthquake. I thank you for your trust." He bowed his head. With this, my reputation in the eyes of the people will rise.

"Pain-sama bowed to us? Is this a dream?"

"I have never seen a Kage bow his head to commoners like us."

Hearing those opinions from the people made him smile.

He straightened up and said, with an expression of sadness, "But what makes me sad is that there are areas that we haven't evacuated yet."

Seeing the people staring at him, waiting for him to speak, he narrowed his eyes slightly. I got them.

"We couldn't evacuate the people of the Kyoto Prefecture. It makes me incredibly sad. This is because when we wanted to evacuate the people of Kyoto, our daimyo wouldn't allow us to." He moved his hands as he spoke.

"Why would the daimyo do that?"

"I have relatives in Kyoto, I hope they are safe."

"That corrupt daimyo!"

"Why is this happening! I still have my family there."

"God, please let everyone be okay."

Everyone's reaction didn't fall below his expectations. Go on, get mad, unleash your anger at the daimyo. With that, I can get your support.

He raised his right hand, and the loud noises in the field immediately stopped.

"Thank you for your attention."

"It's a pity the daimyo didn't trust us. But luckily, fate was on the side of the people of Kyoto. The people of Kyoto managed to be evacuated to the underground evacuation shelters in the area." He paused, his mouth suddenly feeling dry.

The people in the field were all relieved that their loved ones in Kyoto had been successfully evacuated.

He continued. "This all started when the earthquake happened. The daimyo and his family wanted to save themselves in the underground shelter. Along with his troops. The shelter was very big, big enough to hold 60,000 people at once. One of the samurai in his troops suggested to the daimyo that they also evacuate the people of Kyoto. But the daimyo rejected the suggestion. The samurai refused the daimyo's ridiculous order and that's when a tragic incident occurred."

"The deaths of the entire daimyo family. The samurai killed him just because he didn't want to accept his ridiculous order." He looked at the expressions of the crowd.

Shocked, happy, and overjoyed.

"What?! The daimyo is dead?"

"A samurai killed him."

"That samurai is the one who saved all the people of Kyoto. Thanks to him, the citizens of Kyoto have been evacuated." He looked into the cameras with a smile.

"That samurai is a hero who saved the people of Kyoto, shouldn't we clap for him?" He asked the crowd.

He was the first to start clapping.

Immediately after, the field was filled with applause.

"Alright, the applause is done, let's get to the important announcement that I want to make," Nagato shouted so everyone could hear him.

What?! That wasn't the important announcement?, everyone thought.

In the bright sunlight, Nagato's eyes seemed to burn with fire.

"I, Nagato, also known as Pain, as the third Amekage, have decided to dissolve the Land of Rain."

The news was shocking to many, including those watching on television. Some even fainted.

"Calm down... everyone calm down. The reason I'm dissolving the Land of Rain is that this country is rotten to the core. For hundreds of years they have ruled this country, there has been no significant change to our lives. Internal conflict after internal conflict has made the country rot, the people have suffered, and the economy has been destroyed. I, who was born during those times, suffered greatly. You all have felt what I have felt, right?!" He shouted, gesturing with his hands.

"Yeah!!" Everyone shouted in response.

"So, do you all still want to be led by people like that?!" Nagato asked everyone with an angry expression.

"No!!" They all responded firmly.

"Who made your lives better?" He asked.

"Pain-sama!!"

"Who is it that has made you enjoy peace for the last ten years?"

"Pain-sama!"

"I'll ask one more time, does a scumbag who neglects the interests of his people, deserve to lead us all?" Nagato shouted.

"No!!!"

He took a short breath then shouted, "So, do you all agree to dissolve the Land of Rain?"

"We all agree!!" Everyone shouted, both those on the ground and those watching on television, they all agreed.

He spread both arms in front of him.

"With the support of the people, I, the third Amekage, Nagato, officially dissolve the Land of Rain!" he shouted. Yes! With this, I can establish my kingdom.

"Instead, do you agree to appoint me as your King?" He asked the crowd.

"We agree!" They all shouted without hesitation.

"With the agreement of the people. This Friday, December 2nd, year 80, at 10:15 am. I, Nagato, declare the founding of the Kingdom of Erlania!"

With this, his kingdom was founded. All that remained was his coronation.

He turned away from the podium and saw Konan walking toward him, carrying the transparent glass box containing the crown.

He also saw a fox-masked anbu holding a silver briefcase in his right hand. The anbu walked alongside Konan.

Everyone in the field was surprised by the sudden appearance of Konan and the anbu.

"Look, what is Konan-sama carrying."

"Isn't that a crown?"

"That's right, it's a crown, so is that the king's crown? It's so beautiful."

"In all my life, I have never seen such a beautiful piece of jewelry."

Konan arrived in front of Nagato. She opened the glass box with her right arm, and the anbu next to her took the glass box she handed him.

She lowered herself until both of her knees touched the floor, and bowed 50 degrees to Nagato.

Her palms held the base of the crown.

Nagato took the luxurious crown from Konan, using both of his hands. He placed the king's crown upon his head.

He also didn't forget to take the imperial scepter from the silver briefcase that the anbu had opened.

After taking the crown and the scepter, he walked back to the podium.

"With this, I, Nagato vi Erlania, officially become your king. The first king of the newly founded Kingdom of Erlania. From this day forward, this land will be ruled directly by a king. This land is now renamed to the Kingdom of Erlania." He shouted, raising his imperial scepter in the air with his right hand.

The people in the field were slightly taken aback by what Pain-sama had said, the land they lived in was now a monarchy.

Suddenly, the red curtain covering the stage was replaced by a strange flag.

Is that the new flag of this kingdom? It's so beautiful, everyone thought.

"Long live His Majesty King Nagato vi Erlania!" Someone shouted out first. After that, many more cheers followed.

"Long live His Majesty the King, long live Erlania!"

"Long live His Majesty the King, long live Erlania!"

"Long live Erlania!"

"Long live His Majesty the King!"

"Long live His Majesty King Nagato!"

Konan heard the loud cheers of thousands of people and didn't expect the people to support Nagato as a king. Yahiko, our dream has come true.

Hearing the cheers from thousands of people, his hands trembled with joy. This was a scene that he had always dreamed of, and now it was coming true.

He raised his right hand, holding the imperial scepter, in the air. "Let the Kingdom of Erlania dominate the world!"

He blatantly revealed his intentions to everyone.

Dozens of cameras were capturing the moment, a moment that future historians would remember as a turning point in human history.

"Yeahhh!!" Everyone yelled, both in the field and in front of their TVs.

He lowered his right hand and then said, "Next week, on December 9th, there will be a selection for ministers of the kingdom. If any of you are talented or knowledgeable in the fields of economics, military, industry, agriculture, science, or you want to try your luck with your career, please come to the Akatsuki building. There, I will hold a test to see if you are worthy of becoming a minister. There are dozens of vacant ministerial positions."

He turned around and walked towards Konan.

He looked at Konan seriously. "I, as the king of the Kingdom of Erlania, grant you the position of prime minister of the kingdom, for your contributions to me."

Konan was surprised that Nagato was giving her such an important position. The position of prime minister had the same level of political power as the Kage of the world.

"I gratefully accept the position of prime minister of the kingdom," Konan replied, placing her right hand over her left chest and her left hand behind her back, a formal pose.

After that, she looked at everyone. "As promised, there will be a free food distribution today. Please, eat to your heart's content at the food distribution centers that have been prepared." As soon as Konan finished speaking, the crowd erupted in cheers.

"Long live Her Majesty the Prime Minister!"
