Chapter 569: Chapter 569: Eden Is Lumine’s Top Donor
When Nanook saw Takumi, his expression darkened instantly. He really disliked this guy—Takumi was aligned with the Aeon of Elation, and Nanook was especially wary of the things Takumi had created.
He was particularly dissatisfied with the access gate Takumi had built—it gave people hope, which he despised.
"If you don't want to die, back off. You can't beat me or her, so there's no point in doing something so pointless. If you want to visit my world, you're welcome. But if you're here to cause trouble, I won't hesitate to eliminate you."
Takumi looked at Nanook coldly as he spoke. Everyone's attention turned to Nanook. He stared Takumi down, but he had no doubt Takumi meant what he said.
Honestly, coming here was just asking for humiliation. He already couldn't beat Takumi, and even before Takumi made a move, someone else had already crushed his Destruction Legion. He couldn't even handle a stranger, much less Takumi.
With a cold snort, Nanook said nothing more. A rift opened behind him, and he disappeared with his legion. Clearly, he had given up.
"Tsk! Why'd you interfere? I was having fun!" Shiroyasha pouted as she watched Nanook vanish. Takumi had ruined her entertainment.
"That guy probably just wanted to test the waters. Nothing worth discussing. I'm heading off."
With that, Takumi left without bothering to respond further.
Shiroyasha clicked her tongue and vanished as well. She needed to find a way to ascend to Aeonhood. Since she was already a Stellar Spirit, it was only a step away from being an Aeon. After all, both had "star" in their names—it wasn't much of a leap!
...
Back at the Xianzhou, Takumi found Fu Xuan and Qingque.
"Back so soon?" Qingque's eyes lit up when she saw him.
She hurried to greet him, amazed by the speed at which things had resolved. Takumi had effortlessly driven off the Aeon of Destruction. That was amazing!
Seeing her excitement, Fu Xuan rolled her eyes. "Qingque, back to work! Save your chatter for after your shift."
She glared at the slacker. Just because the battle was over didn't mean Qingque could slack off.
"There are only five minutes left in my shift! You wouldn't dare violate Xianzhou labor laws, would you, Lady Diviner?" Qingque retorted cheekily. She wasn't about to work overtime—not even for Fu Xuan.
Fu Xuan glared daggers at her. This kind of subordinate was hopeless.
"Since your shift's almost over, want to come hang out at my place?" Takumi asked with interest.
Qingque's eyes sparkled. "Yes, yes! Lady Diviner, I'm taking vacation time! I still have plenty of leave stored up. It's rare to find a place to relax like that—too good to pass up!"
"I do NOT approve!" Fu Xuan protested. They were already busy—how dare Qingque request leave now? She was lucky Fu Xuan wasn't making her work overtime!
"Too bad! I have vacation days! Let's go, Takumi!" Qingque grabbed his arm and dragged him toward the gate.
Takumi grinned and left with her, giving Fu Xuan no chance to object.
Watching them disappear, Fu Xuan seethed. "Damn it! You're so dead, Qingque!"
...
Takumi brought Qingque back to his own world. She looked around curiously.
"So this is your world? Wow! But… it looks like a ghost town? And those gates—do they lead to other worlds?"
She was astonished by the environment and the inter-world portals.
"Yeah, they connect to other worlds. This city is newly built. Come on, I'll show you around."
With that, they vanished from the spot.
When they reappeared, they were in Hope City. Compared to the quiet area before, this place was bustling with life. The festive atmosphere made Qingque's eyes shine.
"Is there a festival going on?" she asked, marveling at the vibrant streets.
"It's the new year, so people are celebrating. Take out the terminal I gave you and fill in your details—I'll transfer you some money. You don't have any local currency yet."
Takumi had given her a terminal earlier, which she had likely used as a personal device. Her ID info was already filled out, though she hadn't connected it to the network until now.
Now online, Takumi sent her a bit of starter money.
"Thanks for the sugar daddy support! Hehe~" Qingque laughed gleefully after receiving the money.
Takumi just smiled and said nothing, taking her to explore.
"Guinaifen and the others came here before—I was so jealous! Now it's finally my turn. Oh, and I think Lumine's here too? March 7th mentioned it. Is she around?"
Qingque hadn't been to Takumi's world before, but others like March 7th had. She clearly remembered Lumine, so she naturally asked about her.
"Lumine? Probably streaming somewhere. You can check online. She might not even be in this world right now. No idea where she's wandered off to."
Takumi hadn't really kept track of what Lumine was doing. She'd likely taken to streaming full-time to make money. Ever since she met Guinaifen, she'd fallen in love with being a streamer.
Eden was still her top donor, after all.
