Chapter 488: Chapter 488: I Didn't Know About This!
Ningguang actually felt a bit embarrassed about bringing dead people back to continue working. But when she thought about how she couldn't finish the work on her own, that embarrassment vanished instantly. She even had the immortals sent over by the Geo Archon helping out.
Takumi's world was massive. It required a lot of personnel for management. The speed of recruitment couldn't keep up with the number of job vacancies. After all, some people were simply not capable. She didn't want people who just flattered others—she needed people who could get things done. That's why she had Prometheus select only the best of the best.
Originally, that number was sufficient. But then Takumi brought in a bunch more worlds all at once, and suddenly they were short-handed.
"Then just revive more people!" Takumi said. "As long as they're capable, anyone can be revived. Hmm… maybe I can pull some Heroic Spirits from the Fate universe to help with management. Historical figures would be perfect. Other worlds have plenty of useful people too. Plus, you can also use those mecha units. They're a bit rigid, but they don't make mistakes. No matter the race, we can make use of them. I'll help Keqing build some new cities later."
Since he was already here, Takumi figured he might as well help Ningguang resolve these issues. Hearing his words, Ningguang nodded. As long as Takumi took care of it, things would be fine.
Although she could ask Veliona, who also possessed Herrscher of Reason powers, that woman would probably go overboard with cyberpunk designs. So Ningguang had already ruled that out.
"Too bad. If Veliona were more reliable, I wouldn't be bothering you," she sighed.
Takumi chuckled at that. But suddenly, his eyes lit up.
"Wait, I might be able to find you a helper. Hmm… let's bring Bronya over!"
Of course, the 'helper' he meant was Bronya, the Herrscher of Reason.
Ningguang gave him an exasperated look. "If you do that, Bronya's not going to let you off easily. Let's not. You do it yourself. Or just make some kind of city-building weapon and let Keqing handle it. Shouldn't be difficult for you."
Getting a helper? Forget it. That might cause unnecessary drama. It was better for Takumi to create a weapon or device that could build cities. It would be easy for him anyway.
Takumi nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's pretty simple. I'll just use the Herrscher of Reason's power to forge a divine key that can materialize cities. Actually, let's do that. If worst comes to worst, I could even give you the Herrscher core, but you're probably more compatible with the Herrscher of Geo. Keqing would suit the Herrscher of Thunder. So yeah, a divine key it is. Prometheus can operate it. Once the city layouts are done, just have Prometheus activate it."
He quickly settled on the idea. He would forge a divine key and toss it into space. Once Prometheus had the city plans, she'd trigger the key to construct them all at once. Easy.
Ningguang was thrilled by this plan. "Perfect! If we have that divine key hanging in the sky, I won't have to come running to you anymore. This is great!"
Having picked up so much knowledge since coming to Takumi's world, she valued convenience more than anything now.
Seeing her so excited, Takumi didn't waste any more time. He materialized the Herrscher of Reason core and began constructing a divine key that resembled a satellite in appearance but was entirely different inside.
Once it was ready, he opened a spatial rift and sent it into orbit. The research institute quickly detected the new satellite.
Dr. Mei looked at it with a puzzled expression. "What is that?"
Prometheus immediately explained, "It's a new divine key Takumi made for building cities."
She then briefed Dr. Mei on all its functions. Upon hearing the explanation, Mei was left speechless. It seemed a bit excessive. But she didn't say anything more—this sort of thing was easy for Takumi.
"Have him make another one and place it over Mars," she said. "The climate there has been fully terraformed. Tell him he can start linking some of the new world portals there."
Then she returned to her work. She was incredibly busy.
Prometheus relayed the request to Takumi, who was a bit speechless. Still, he didn't argue. He just created another key and casually launched it into Mars orbit.
As for linking the new world portals to Mars? Maybe later. Not a big deal.
Takumi's current world hadn't even reached its full potential yet. Mars could wait. This planet was still growing and had already undergone countless transformations. But because Takumi was too powerful, he didn't benefit much from these world upgrades. If he were weaker, the blessings from world evolution would've made him incredibly strong. But since his strength already surpassed the planet's, the gains were negligible.
After finishing all that, Takumi was ready to head out.
Everything was set. No need to manage the follow-up. What a relief~
"By the way," Ningguang suddenly said as if remembering something, "I think a new mission got posted in the chat group this morning. Everyone's off doing missions now. I forgot to tell you."
Hearing that, Takumi froze. A new mission?
He had no idea!
