Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Al-chan Is Still As Cute As Ever

After Bronya returned, she didn't immediately head out again to grow stronger. Instead, she stayed home to rest for a while and visit the companions she had brought with her. However, when she did set out again, she took Seele and the others along.

Takumi clearly understood her intentions. She just wanted to let Seele and the others get some training in as well. He didn't say much, simply sent all of them straight to Shiko's world.

After sending off Bronya, Takumi suddenly remembered something. He quickly pulled out a pendant from his imaginary space. Seeing what Takumi was holding, everyone at home turned to look.

"What's that?" Lilia and Miori Shibari were both puzzled. What was that in Takumi's hand?

"Algol!" Takumi revealed what the pendant contained. Upon hearing the name, Miori immediately understood.

"You're going to restore her?" Miori perked up. Demon Star Algol—she knew exactly how powerful that being was. If she could be revived, she'd be a tremendous asset.

"Of course I'm going to restore her. Al-chan is super cute~!" Takumi grinned mischievously and began the unsealing process.

He undid the pendant's seal, and in the next moment, a grotesque monster appeared in the living room. It tried to howl upon appearing but was immediately silenced by Takumi, unable to utter a sound.

Takumi stepped forward and looked the creature up and down. "Being reduced to this state… how tragic. Your origins trace back to Mesopotamian earth goddess worship. Though over time, your story became distorted. Later, you were seen as the original demon, even incorporated into the Hebrew Bible. That's how you became the stellar spirit Algol."

He murmured in a peculiar tone, recounting Algol's lore. Miori and Lilia remained silent, simply watching.

As Takumi continued to speak, the curse on Algol gradually dissipated. Simultaneously, Takumi gathered a dense mass of Honkai energy, channeling it all into her body.

The wild energy had become tangible, and Takumi forcefully infused all of it into her. Slowly, the curses faded away, and Algol began to regain her original appearance.

Seeing this, Takumi got excited. Algol's aura steadily grew stronger, rising from a four-digit power level to her full peak.

Takumi's intense use of Honkai energy naturally drew the attention of the Science Institute. Before long, someone messaged him.

"What's going on over there? Why is there such a massive Honkai energy surge?"

Mobius's call popped up on Takumi's screen. She looked at him suspiciously—was he up to something again?

Takumi shook his head. "Nothing. Just unsealing someone."

He ended the call right after. Geez, did she really need to ask?

Mobius blinked at the abrupt hang-up. She felt a little annoyed but didn't pursue it further. As long as it wasn't dangerous.

She'd assumed Takumi was tinkering with some bizarre new thing again. Well, technically he was. Never mind. From now on, she'd just ignore any Honkai energy spikes. After all, Takumi was the source of all of it. This wasn't the Previous Era, after all.

Having finished his operation, Takumi finally restored Algol's original appearance. Her delicate face and long flowing hair had returned. Although she still looked a little messy, it was much better than before.

The moment she woke up, the first thing she did was find a mirror to tidy her hair.

"Al-chan is still so cute!" She beamed at her reflection. "This face is amazing."

She straightened her hair and admired her figure. "Al-chan's figure is still amazing!" Then she looked at her legs. "Al-chan's legs are still so beautiful!"

Takumi and the others silently watched her.

Thanks to the noise Takumi had caused, Jibril came down from upstairs. She too heard what Algol said and was stunned.

Where did Takumi find such a narcissistic person?

After checking herself over, Algol finally turned her gaze to Takumi.

"You're pretty good-looking too. Not bad. You're worthy of being the man who restored me. Al-chan approves of you. Now come lick my feet!"

At that, Takumi smacked her on the head.

"Oof!!"

Algol dropped to the floor, clutching her head. "How dare you hit me!"

"Shut it, you narcissist," Takumi rolled his eyes. "Lick your feet? I have my dignity, thank you very much."

"Hmph! I could feel it—you were definitely tempted!" Algol got back up, hands on her hips, smugly eyeing him. She could tell he was flustered. Her charm was invincible.

"Heh heh~" Takumi gave her a fake smile.

"Anyway, where are we? This isn't Little Garden, and it's not outside of it either."

Algol scanned her surroundings and her own internal energy. Clearly, this wasn't Little Garden anymore. Her power had changed—she felt much stronger.

"Of course not. We're far from Little Garden now. If you want to return, I can send you to Hakuyasha."

Takumi sat down and explained.

Hearing this, Algol blinked.

"No thanks! I'd rather not fall into her hands. She'd never stop mocking me."

She looked displeased.

She wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but if she had to go through Hakuyasha to get back to Little Garden, forget it.

If they met, she'd never hear the end of it. No way—Algol would rather never go back than face that ridicule.
