Chapter 213: Everyone Was Shocked, We Lost Again!
"Monster!"
Marx's eyes were wide with fury, his gaze locked on the master of the tentacles—a Grey-Skin with half his body naked, covered in runes.
The enemy saw Marx and calmly pulled up his pants. He licked his lips cruelly, saying."Your women are fun to play with."
Marx said nothing, just stared coldly at the enemy. "Die!"
As he spoke, Marx's familiar space opened behind him. Dozens of insects flew into the room, rushing toward the Grey-Skin with giant sea turtles.
The Grey-Skin raised an eyebrow. He immediately dropped Eleanor and jumped back.
Behind Marx, a second group of insects came out of the familiar space, wearing armor. In the middle of them, a huge slug was carefully protected, slowly crawling toward Eleanor and wrapping her up.
Warm familiar energy came out from the slug, quickly healing Eleanor's wounds.
"Captain, sorry..." Eleanor opened her eyes, a look of pain on her face.
"Tell me his ability." Marx didn't want Eleanor to relive the pain. While he sent the bugs to chase the Grey-Skin, he changed the subject.
"He can live inside other creatures, turn them into clones that can take over their minds!" Eleanor smiled, her eyes filled with a dark look.
Suddenly, the familiars around Eleanor started to move wildly.
Marx looked closely and saw that Eleanor had bitten a big piece off the slug.
She licked the slime on the slug and looked happy. "Slugs are perfect for roasting!"
Marx realized the danger and tried to move away from Eleanor.
Then he remembered Eleanor's ability. A strong sense of danger filled his heart.
Eleanor's body lit up with runes. In a flash, her and the Grey-Skin swapped places.
In the blink of an eye, Eleanor was torn into pieces by the bugs chasing the Grey-Skin.
The Grey-Skin, on the other hand, smiled cruelly. He extended his arms, and dozens of tentacles quickly joined together to form a sharp drill. He drove it into Marx's neck.
Everything happened in a split second. Marx stared in disbelief at the enemy, opened his mouth, but couldn't make a sound.
At this moment, Marx finally realized the real difference between them. The enemy's way of fighting was not just a battle—it was a trap and a hunt.
The Grey-Skin saw Marx trying to speak and laughed."Your soldiers are interesting. They can bring so many delicious food."
He called out a dozen tentacles and laughed at Marx."Remember my name, Finn. You'll never forget it!"
As he said that, Finn's tentacles moved toward Marx's body.
Suddenly, a buzzing sound came from behind Finn. Finn frowned and turned around.
Marx's familiar space hadn't closed yet. Bugs were still coming out from the cracks.
Finn licked his lips, not scared but excited instead. "So many food? You can only bring out ten or so, right? This is almost a hundred!"
Marx was still bleeding. He was almost choked from losing too much blood.
He opened his mouth, using his last bit of strength to give a command to his familiars.
"Suicide attack!"
The familiars turned red-eyed. Their transparent bodies glowed blue, clearly full of poison.
Finn spat in disgust."Puke! Poisonous meat is not tasty at all!"
He extended his tentacles and mercilessly swept through the bug swarm.
His tentacles were like whips, beating the bugs and leaving broken wings and limbs everywhere.
Marx's Armored Beetles quickly moved in, forming a battle formation and rushing forward.
Finn's tentacles hit the armor but couldn't kill in one strike.
After the Armored Beetle was injured, it quickly retreated to the back, and a new group of Armored Beetles took its place.
With almost perfect teamwork, Finn couldn't hurt the bug swarm for a moment.
Marx looked at this and a hint of pride appeared on his face. Then, his eyes turned red, and the familiar energy around him became more violent. A beeping sound came from the core of his heart.
Finn had once heard the same sound on Lomel General. He immediately pulled back his tentacles and tried to run away.
At that moment, the armored beetles around him all opened their shells, trapping Finn in the middle. Even the flying and jumping bugs behind the Armored Beetles rushed in wildly.
Seeing this, Finn turned to Marx and said."Is this your suicide attack? So it was you who killed yourself?"
Marx smiled and showed a mocking look.
But then, Marx suddenly laughed loudly."Come on, you really are stupid. Do you think I only used one woman?"
With that, the Finn in front of Marx disappeared instantly, replaced by a blonde, blue-eyed woman.
The woman looked at Marx and said mockingly."You can't kill me, fool!"
Then, a loud explosion happened.
A huge fireball shot into the sky.
Marx and Eleanor were instantly buried in the fire.
Half of the neighborhood street was turned to dust in the explosion.
In the live stream, all the top familiar tamers of the Federation watched this and clenched their fists tightly.
"Is this the end of Marx, the top fighter of the Legend Stage?"
"Damn it! What kind of race is this Grey-Skin? That set of tentacles and parasitic ability is terrifying."
"We've analyzed it. His individual strength is too strong. At least 20 same-level familiars are needed to hold him off."
"But to kill him, we need a familiar tamer with a specific ability. Otherwise, he can always switch bodies and escape."
In the military command center, Logan stared at the screen in silence for a long time.
Beside him, Bobbi and Nel also looked serious.
"Logan, this might be the worst situation we've ever faced." Nel said seriously. "We just confirmed with the leader. These Grey-Skins probably come from a lost world — an old human kingdom."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "A lost world? Are there other human kingdoms there?"
Bobbi rolled her eyes. "Of course there are. Did you forget? There are many continents and islands on Earth. When the dimensions invaded, many landmasses were split apart."
Nel nodded and explained."Strictly speaking, the human Federation, Pinocchini, Temple, and the Church were all on the same continent before the dimensional invasion."
Logan suddenly realized something and widened his eyes. "So what you two are saying is that these Grey-Skins are also humans from another continent?"
When Bobbi and Nel nodded, Logan took a sharp breath.
He remembered what the explorer Ron had written — the lost world was extremely large and hard to measure. And in between, there were different civilizations. Some were elves, some were giants, and others were demons or undead.
So after the invasion, human societies in different regions had to go through death and war to rebuild new order and civilization.
It was clear that these Grey-Skins had taken a completely different path. A more brutal, primitive, and violent one.
Thinking about this, Logan turned to leave.
But Bobbi and Nel quickly grabbed his arm to stop him.
After all, this time, there were 48 Grey-Skins, and even one Finn was terrifying. They didn't want him to take any risks.
At that moment, Natalia, Sophia, and Lucia walked into the command room. The five women worked together to pull Logan back to the command center.
"Why are you here?" Logan looked at Natalia, confused.
"We're afraid you'll act stupid and get yourself killed." Natalia said, looking at him. "I remind you — before we have full information, as the Federation's strongest fighter, you can't just go out and fight. Do you understand?"
Sophia and Lucia exchanged a look and said seriously."Logan, you need to hold back. You are the sharpest sword of the Human Federation. Your abilities are still unknown to them. Only when they don't know your secrets can you fight at your strongest."
Logan forced himself to hold back the urge to fight. He looked back at the screen again.
At this moment, Darwin General arrived at the ruins of Marx's self-destruct with three of his teammates.
Darwin crouched down and placed his hand on the ground. Soon, a bunch of tiny nanorobots spread out.
Within just a few minutes, the nanorobots returned, carrying countless tiny pieces of human tissue that were hard to see with the naked eye.
In front of everyone, the nanorobots quickly combined and formed a brand new Marx.
Marx looked at the reborn version of himself, raised his leg in disbelief, and looked shocked: "I… I'm not dead?"
Darwin snorted. "The bomb on you was my work. Of course, I had a way to save your life!"
After the shock, Marx looked guilty. "I'm sorry. I didn't finish the mission. I couldn't save my teammates."
Darwin sighed. "I'm sorry too. If I had been there when Lomel died, maybe he wouldn't have died."
At that, Darwin patted Marx on the shoulder. "Young man, you still have a long way to go. Cherish everything you have. Let them create even more value."
At that moment, dozens of Blade Squad members ran over and carried Marx onto a stretcher.
Only after watching Marx being taken away by the soldiers did Darwin's face finally turn cold. "Did you find that rapist yet?"
