Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 157: Secret Realm Chaos? Take It on Alone!

Right after that, each space crack opened into a portal.

Fischl and Vincent stared through the doors, their eyes wide and faces full of shock and disbelief.

Inside the portals, a bunch of slimes came out one by one.

They moved like Jelly, jumping and bouncing toward each other, forming a huge slime — it was Jelly.

As Jelly grew bigger and bigger, Vincent felt the sunlight around him disappear. He muttered under his breath: "Oh my god!"

Because Jelly was so huge, Fischl had to slowly step back.

She only stopped when she reached Vincent's side, and then Jelly finally finished merging.

From the beginning, Fischl had been counting the number of slimes. Now, she finally understood how many slimes Logan had bonded: "You bonded 10,086 slimes? What the hell did you do?"

Hearing the number 10,086, Vincent cursed again: "Oh my god! Logan, are you even human? How in the world did you control all these slimes?"

Logan saw the shocked looks on their faces and smiled. "Forcing a slime to bond causes it to merge and change early. You didn't tell me that before, so I didn't tell you my solution. It's fair."

Hearing Logan's excuse, Vincent opened his mouth but had nothing to say.

Fischl heard the anger in Logan's voice and sighed. "It was a rule set by the Black Church's pope. Anyone who wants to learn the [Slime Battle Style] has to go through a test. Me and Vincent didn't know about it either."

Logan raised an eyebrow at this. "Hmph. What does that have to do with me? I'm not part of the Black Church. Anyway, our deal is done."

After saying that, Logan took out the Federation's Sacred Fire in front of Vincent and Fischl. "Next, I'll visit your The Black Church as an official representative of the Human Federation, and I'll supervise how you use the Sacred Fire."

Vincent and Fischl stared at the Inferno in front of them, their faces full of shock.

They didn't expect Logan to have such a secret identity, nor did they realize how much the Human Federation trusted him.

Fischl realized Logan wasn't going to support her anymore. Her face showed a rare sign of worry. "Our deal…"

"It's over!" Logan cut her off before she could finish, and said it clearly again.

Fischl's eyes flickered. Her hands clenched into fists and then opened again. Her calm expression was gone. "Then… can we talk about a new deal? I still need your help!"

Vincent saw Fischl lower her stance, and a hint of guilt appeared on his face.

He knew it was because he messed things up, which made Logan finally turn against them.

So Vincent dropped his lazy attitude and said seriously: "Logan, if there's something to settle, come after me! Don't involve the woman."

Logan looked at Vincent and smiled. "You still have some manners, huh?"

Vincent rolled his eyes and took a big puff of his cigar before calming down. "Anyway, I'm sorry about the slime issue. But at least give the princess a chance. Let it be a favor I owe you."

Hearing that, Logan gave a satisfied nod. "I can still help Fischl, but you have to tell me where the Slime Secret Realm is."

Vincent frowned when he heard that. "You already bonded 10,000 slimes. What else do you want?"

Logan didn't explain. He just coldly stared at Vincent.

Vincent met Logan's gaze, opened his mouth, and finally nodded in defeat. "Okay, you win!"

After saying that, Vincent picked up a business card, wrote an address on it, and handed it to Logan.

Logan took the card and then looked at Fischl with a satisfied smile. "Our misunderstanding is cleared. The deal continues!"

Fischl, seeing how quickly Logan changed his mind, had no words left. "I don't even know which part of your words are true anymore."

Logan didn't care about her reaction.

After a short rest, the group started their journey.

Since Logan didn't know the way and hadn't set up a [space coordinate] beforehand, he still had to follow Vincent and Fischl to The Black Church.

Luckily, all of them had flying familiars, and they flew quickly.

After flying for a full day and night, the three finally reached the area controlled by The Black Church.

Unlike the Temple, which was based in the Human Federation, The Black Church had its own territory in the lost world.

Logan stood on the back of his horned hawk, Red Feather, and looked at the big city cluster before him. It looked like a small, independent kingdom, and he couldn't help but admire it.

But soon, Logan noticed something strange.

The cities all seemed to be built around a set of Blood Cultivation Realms, forming a big magic circle.

The buildings weren't just places to live — they were part of a powerful magic system.

Fischl noticed the look in Logan's eyes and explained softly. "What you see is real. The thirteen cities of The Black Church were built around thirteen Blood Cultivation Realms."

Long ago, before the Human Federation was formed, the first pope of The Black Church led a group of people to survive in a wild world.

The pope had a special technique that let humans live together with the Blood Cultivation Realms. This technique helped take energy and resources from the Realms to build cities and keep order.

That's how the cities built around the Blood Cultivation Realms grew strong. The thirteen most powerful ones became the current territory of The Black Church.

And in the center of the thirteen cities was the Blood Cultivation Realm — the thirteen sacred sites of The Black Church.

Each sacred site was guarded by a Legend-stage master, who trained the church's followers.

The monsters inside the Blood Cultivation Realms had once made a pact with the pope. They didn't attack humans — instead, they became the church's special familiars and fighting force.

Because of this, The Black Church had exclusive access to thirteen types of familiars in the Human Federation — including shadow crows and slimes.

After learning this secret, Logan felt a new respect for The Black Church. "They managed to lead people to survive in a wild world. The first pope was a real leader."

Vincent softened a little when he heard Logan's praise. "Good for you, kid. Unlike the Temple — those fake hypocrites."

Fischl gave Vincent a sharp look and stopped him from talking nonsense. She explained, "The Black Church and the Temple have been enemies because their beliefs are completely different. The first pope believed humans should adapt to the new world, live with the new creatures and the Blood Cultivation Realms. The Temple, on the other hand, thought the other world coming was a gift from God. Humans should rule over the creatures from that world, conquer them, and make them worship God."

She paused for a moment, then sighed. "I don't know what you're thinking, but we from The Black Church have never been this arrogant."

Logan rubbed his nose and laughed. "Arrogant? Maybe a little. But I don't want to get mixed up in your fights. My rule is simple — whoever messes with me, I mess with them back."

Vincent got excited at Logan's words and whistled. He handed Logan a cigar. "Bro, you're getting more like a real man every day. Here, take one. You'll need it sooner or later."

Logan gave Vincent a look and was about to refuse when suddenly, a scream rang out ahead.

Logan turned and saw that the closest Blood Cultivation Realm — the sacred city — had a crowd of church members running out in panic, scattering in all directions.

"Rebellion!"

"Rebellion!"

"The monsters broke the pact!"

"The Blood Cultivation Realm is going out of control! Go get the pope and ask for help!"

A wave of shouts quickly reached Logan and the others.

Logan looked at the Blood Cultivation Realm about to collapse and turned to Fischl. "What's going on? You guys were supposed to live peacefully with the Blood Cultivation Realm, right?"

Fischl stared at the sacred city below, her face full of anger. "Someone broke the magic circle in the city. They blocked the energy flow. This Blood Cultivation Realm might really be lost."

When Logan heard that, he pulled at the corner of his mouth. He hadn't expected to run into trouble the moment he arrived at The Black Church.

Just as he was about to ask Vincent what to do, Vincent was already gone. All he left behind was a voice: "I'm going to get help. You two try to save people."

Logan rolled his eyes.

At that moment, the priests inside the city spotted Logan and Fischl.

Because of Fischl's high rank, they immediately recognized her. "Lady Fischl! This place is dangerous. You should leave right away!"

Fischl was shocked that the priests were trying to drive her away. Her eyes narrowed. "What's going on?"

The priests looked at each other, then started explaining nervously.

It turned out that the city's main priest had betrayed The Black Church. He had convinced the Legend-stage monsters in the Blood Cultivation Realm and secretly destroyed the city's magic circle. He wanted to take the monsters out of the city and start his own new group, breaking free from The Black Church's control.

When Fischl understood, her face turned pale.

She turned to Logan, her expression very serious. "The priest is a Legend 5 stars familiar tamer. There are at least four or five Legend-stage monsters in the Blood Cultivation Realm. This is a big problem."

Fischl was being polite, but Logan knew exactly how bad the situation was.

If so many Legend-stage monsters showed up in the city, the whole city would be destroyed.

Thinking about the tens of thousands of people who might die, Logan sighed. "Fine. You take care of getting people out. I'll go in and deal with them."
