Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 136: The Morgan Family Leader from a Hundred Years Ago!

With that, Logan didn't hesitate. He pulled out his phone and started recording Alex's crimes.

At that moment, an old man in a white robe slowly walked behind Alex and bowed respectfully: "Master, the blood tree has sprouted new shoots."

Alex nodded silently. He pointed at the two corpses on the ground and ordered: "Take them to feed the blood tree."

Hearing the order, the old man immediately summoned two familiars. They each picked up a body and carried them down into the castle's underground.

Logan felt something was wrong with the old man's "blood tree." He followed quietly behind the white-robed man.

After walking through many hallways, Logan finally reached the castle's underground. It was a huge underground space.

Looking at the space, which was even bigger than the castle itself, Logan was shocked.

At the center of the underground area stood a huge blood-colored vine, wrapped around eight big pillars. It supported the foundation of the Morgan castle.

The old man brought the two bodies toward the root of the blood vine. Logan followed carefully and was shocked to see an old man, who looked about 70% like Alex, lying at the root of the vine.

The old man's arms, legs, and back were connected to the vine, in some kind of living connection.

As the old man walked closer, the old man's eyelids slowly opened: "New fertilizer, I assume?"

The old man in white bowed and knelt down respectfully. "Master, today's fertilizer is two Master-stage familiar tamers."

The white-haired old man looked at the bodies on the familiars, then said coldly: "Put them down and leave. I don't like being disturbed when I eat."

The white-robed old man bowed and quickly turned, taking his familiars and leaving without a word.

Logan watched everything, his mind filled with shock.

He had planned to use his communication device to record what was happening, but before he could act, the white-robed man's device started to vibrate.

Suddenly, a vine shot out like a sword and pierced the old man's chest.

At that moment, the white-haired old man spoke slowly: "I've told you many times—this blood tree area doesn't allow any electronic devices."

As he finished speaking, many vines wrapped around the old man's ankles and pulled his body to the roots of the blood tree.

Logan saw this and immediately gave up the idea of taking out his phone.

This old man was too sensitive to electronics.

Thinking this, Logan slowly stepped back and quietly left the underground space.

From the information Logan had, the current leader of the Morgan family was named [Tom· Morgan].

Logan found a safe spot and quickly pulled out his phone to search for pictures of [Tom· Morgan].

But the face he saw was completely different from the old man in the underground.

"Could he be the previous leader?" Logan asked himself, and kept searching.

Finally, he found a photo of the second leader of the Morgan family, [Dale· Morgan]" from hundreds of years ago.

Although the photo showed a young Dale· Morgan, Logan still recognized him—this was the same old monster he had seen in the underground, connected to the blood tree.

"Looks like the Morgan family has more secrets than I thought," Logan said to himself.

He turned into a ghost again and moved quietly toward the other side of the castle.

Suddenly, a familiar smell came to him. He immediately realized what it was—the smell of the [Divine Fruit].

Following the smell, Logan quickly reached a cold underground storage room.

The temperature was minus fifty degrees. A bunch of [Divine Fruits] were scattered on the floor, like they were worthless.

Logan quickly counted them. There were almost twenty fruits just in front of him.

At that moment, a maid entered the cold room, wearing thick fur clothes.

She picked up a [Divine Fruit] with ease, brushed off the ice, and put it into a treasure box.

She filled five boxes with fruits and left, looking satisfied.

Logan followed her quietly and soon saw two other maids meeting her.

"Melinda, are the [Divine Fruits] for the Judgment Court ready?" one of the maids in a white dress asked, looking serious.

"Yes, Princess Abigail. They were picked from the blood tree yesterday." Melinda opened a box and handed it to Abigail, waiting politely for her to check.

Abigail and her maid only took a quick look before closing the box. "These fruits are important. Don't let anything go wrong!"

Melinda nodded quickly and watched Abigail leave.

Then, Logan followed Melinda all the way to the castle gate.

She carefully put each box into fancy gift boxes and added a few [frost crystals] inside to keep them cold.

Logan saw this and realized that Melinda was probably being ordered to send a batch of [Divine Fruits] to the Judgment Court.

He looked around and saw other maids also carefully packing gifts.

Logan knew he couldn't let these fruits go to other groups if they were dangerous.

So, while the maids were busy, he reached into his pocket and used [Dimensional Ambush] again.

Thankfully, Logan had bought almost all the cake shops in half of Snow Dragon these past few days.

Now, his space ring was full of different kinds of transparent pudding cakes. He used them all to swap with the [Divine Fruits.

By the time the trucks heading to different powerful groups started their engines, Logan had finished all the swaps.

This time, he got more than twenty [Divine Fruits].

Combined with what he had before, he had almost ruined Alex's plan to steal nearly eighty [Divine Fruits].

"Even if this doesn't guarantee the safety of the familiar tamers, at least Alex's plan won't work." Logan said. He collected all the evidence he had and decided to leave Morgan Castle for now.

At dawn, Logan returned to his room, and Natalia was still waiting for him.

To his surprise, Fischl was also in his room, watching him closely.

"You guys..." Logan saw the two girls together and was a bit surprised. "What are you doing in my room?"

"Stop pretending. I just came to wait for you," Fischl said directly, breaking through Logan's act.

"Don't look at me. I already blew my cover the moment she walked in," Natalia said, her mask already off.

Logan didn't hide anymore and took off his coat, sitting on the bed.

He had seen too much that night and didn't know what to say.

So he turned to Fischl and asked, "You wanted to see me?"

Fischl nodded silently and handed him an invitation letter with the parliament's seal. "You slept all day. We all got an invitation from the parliament. We have to go to Morgan Castle for a banquet in three days."

Logan jumped up instantly. "Who else got one?"

Fischl, seeing Logan so excited, stayed calm. "Before I answer, can you tell me what you saw in Morgan Castle?"

When Fischl mentioned Morgan Castle, Logan raised an eyebrow. "You knew about my plan?"

Fischl shook her head. "I just sent a crow clone to follow you and found out what you were doing.

When Logan heard Fischl's confession, his eyes turned cold.

He hadn't expected Fischl to be this strong. "How can I believe you won't betray me?"

Fischl's face froze at the question.

She really didn't know how to prove it. After thinking for a while, she moved close to Logan in front of Natalia and kissed him on the lips.

Logan didn't expect her to be so direct. Before he could react, her tongue pushed open his mouth.

After about five minutes, Natalia couldn't stand it anymore and coughed several times. Fischl finally stopped. "Is this enough for you to believe me?" she asked.

Logan was both annoyed and amused, but he didn't want to get too involved with her.

So he called Natalia over and told the two girls about Alex possibly using the [Divine Fruits] to exploit other familiar tamers.

He kept quiet about the strange blood tree in the underground room and Dale Morgan, not giving out too much information.

When Fischl heard about Alex's plan, she fell silent.

Natalia looked serious too. She walked to the bed and stared out into the night without saying a word.

After a long time, Fischl broke the silence first.

"If I'm not wrong, three days from now is when Alex will take all the [Divine Fruits]. He invited almost everyone who has a [Divine Fruit] that night."

Natalia turned around and looked at Logan. "You left proof, right?"

Logan said nothing and pulled out his phone, sending the photos to Natalia.

Then he suggested, "Even though I don't want to start a war with the Morgan family so early, we don't have a choice, do we?"

Natalia nodded silently. "It's okay. We can beat Alex, then question him slowly. I'll get help. You kids stay out of trouble for the next few days."

With that, Natalia jumped out the window and disappeared into the night.

Logan watched her go, his mouth twitching. He had planned to share the information about Dale Morgan with Natalia after Fischl left.

"Never mind. Next time," he muttered, turning to Fischl. "What are you going to do?"
