Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 130: Elimination Round, Fight Against Kafka!

Next, Logan grabbed Holt and imitated Alex's way, going from table to table, toasting with everyone.

The other familiar tamers noticed that Logan had a special status and didn't dare to offend him. They all smiled and raised their glasses in return.

As they talked, Logan could barely hear Alex encouraging the familiar tamers, hinting that they should take the [Divine Fruit] as soon as possible.

Logan knew Alex had a bad plan, so for every table Alex convinced, Logan would ruin it.

"I tell you, I hate players who cheat in the match. If anyone is caught secretly giving their familiar the [Divine Fruit], I'll rip their familiar apart!" Logan said, pretending to be drunk.

The familiar tamers weren't sure if it was just drunk talk or a real threat.

But their idea of taking the [Divine Fruit] right away was completely gone.

After all, the [Divine Fruit] was already in their hands. They could wait until the federal familiar ranking match was over before using it.

Alex was watching from a distance. Every time he heard Logan's threat, his face turned even colder.

"That little bastard! He's messing up my plan!" Alex muttered under his breath, clenching his fists so hard they made a cracking sound.

But when Logan met Alex's eyes, he didn't care at all. He even walked toward Alex with a glass in his hand.

Alex was afraid he might attack Logan, so he avoided him on purpose.

"Hey, don't leave! Have another drink with me!" Logan kept shouting, but Alex just walked faster.

The party ended quickly that night.

During the event, Alex only came over once to toast, and after that, he didn't speak to Logan at all. It looked like he was trying to avoid him.

Even when Logan pretended to be drunk and played a game with Holt to go to the bathroom, Alex only sent someone to stop the two from taking off their clothes — he didn't come himself, not giving Logan a chance to get close.

Logan realized that Alex had already started to be cautious of him, and wouldn't give him a chance to provoke him.

So Logan didn't push further. He just closed his eyes and fell into Evelynna's arms, pretending to be completely drunk.

When Alex saw Logan's behavior, he gave Holt a look, and Holt immediately got Logan into the private car back to the hotel.

Once back in the room, Logan opened his eyes right away and stood up from Evelynna's arms.

He took away a few girls' [Divine Fruits] and warned them not to use them at all: "I think there's something wrong with this thing. Don't use it."

After saying that, Logan picked up his phone and checked the final list of the ranking match.

During the party, Logan had gotten the list of all the familiar tamers who came.

After checking, his eyebrows tightened: "It matches. The familiar tamers at the party tonight are all people who never got a [Divine Fruit]."

After Logan's warning, the other girls also started to notice something wrong.

It seemed that Alex was giving [Divine Fruits] only to the masters of strong familiars.

Even though they didn't know exactly what he was up to, everyone who knew how the council worked realized this couldn't be good.

At that moment, Evelynna suddenly turned pale and looked up at Logan with a forced smile: "Oh no, Logan. Heserion's next opponent is Kafka."

When Logan heard that, his face turned dark immediately.

He already knew that Kafka had signed a temporary obedience contract with Evelynna.

So Evelynna had no way to control Kafka's own will or how he performed on the battlefield.

"Are you really going to fight?" Logan asked, clearly confused. "Why don't you bring out Kafka and we can talk it over?"

According to Logan's plan, Evelynna immediately opened her familiar space and released Kafka.

When Kafka found out his next opponent was Heserion, his face lit up with a strong fighting spirit: "Hmph, I've been wondering why she's ranked higher than me!"

Logan could hear the arrogance in Kafka's voice. He rubbed his temple and said, "Are you really that confident? What if you lose?"

Kafka caught the tone of disrespect in Logan's voice and frowned. "Lowly human familiar tamer, what kind of strong familiar do you even have? And don't you know that light is strong against ghosts?"

Hearing the familiar arrogance, Logan raised his eyes and stared coldly at Kafka. "Let me make one thing clear — if you lose, I won't hold back at all. Be ready for that."

Kafka, hearing the word "lose," crossed his arms and said: "I won't lose!"

Logan didn't back down at all, and just kept looking at Kafka coldly.

Kafka met Logan's eyes, and suddenly felt a strange nervousness. He muttered in a low voice: "If I lose.. I'll… I'll… I'll sign a master-servant contract with you!"

When he heard that, Logan let out a short laugh. "Hah, you want to sign a master-servant contract with me? You're dreaming."

Kafka was shocked that Logan would actually refuse him. A wave of frustration came over him. "Then what do you want?"

Logan looked at Evelynna and said slowly, "If you lose, you sign a new master-servant contract with Evelynna, and you give up your soul crystals."

When Kafka heard that, his body trembled slightly, then he sneered. "Logan, don't think you can scare me. I won't lose!"

"So you agree?" Logan got out some paper and a pen, quickly wrote up a contract, signed it, and handed it to Kafka.

Kafka looked at the contract in front of him and started breathing harder.

Evelynna saw this and pulled on Kafka's feather gently, saying, "Maybe we should just forget about it. Why don't you just admit you lost tomorrow on stage? We don't have to do this bet."

Kafka got really upset when he heard Evelynna's words. "Are you telling an angel to admit defeat to a ghost? Evelynna, are you crazy?"

Without hesitation, Kafka turned around, grabbed the pen, and signed his name on the contract.

A moment later, a bright light flashed from the paper. Kafka felt a strange spiritual force entering his body. He frowned and said: "It's a soul contract? You also know rune arrays?"

Logan smiled. "I don't just know rune arrays. I know a lot of other things too. You'll find out soon enough."

When Logan made a dirty joke, the other girls nearby turned red and quickly left the room.

Kafka also caught the teasing tone in Logan's words. He gave Logan a cold look and then went straight back into Evelynna's familiar space.

Late at night, all the girls had gone to bed. Logan lay in bed, waiting for the midnight bell.

One ring...

Two rings...

By the third, Natalia suddenly climbed through the window and into Logan's room.

As soon as she saw him, she threw a bunch of bags at Logan. He opened one and saw that it was full of [Divine Fruits] — more than twenty of them.

"Did they catch you?" Logan said while putting the [Divine Fruits] away, and he looked at Natalia with a smile.

"A bunch of drunk amateurs. They couldn't even catch me." Natalia said, smugly patting her hands.

In fact, ever since Logan realized Alex's plan, he had secretly contacted Natalia.

These [Divine Fruits] couldn't be used by those familiar tamers. So Natalia had already been waiting outside the council hall for a long time.

When the familiar tamers got drunk and went back to their hotel, Natalia quietly used her familiar skill to switch the [Divine Fruits].

"What did you swap them with?" Logan suddenly became curious. He wondered what exactly Natalia had used to do the switch.

"I didn't have much time, so I went to a few cake shops and got some clear jelly pudding." Natalia said with a grin. "It feels kind of similar. They've never eaten it before, so they probably won't notice."

Logan shook his head with a smile. "Even if they found out, it wouldn't matter. Those idiots are scared of anyone finding out they have a [Divine Fruit]. They'll never say anything — they'll just think their fruit went bad."

After hearing Logan's analysis, Natalia chuckled.

Logan was almost sure that this switch, even if it didn't stop Alex's plan, would at least cause him a lot of trouble. "Hmph. When his plot finally gets exposed, today's trick will be his biggest weakness."

Natalia nodded in approval. "You really are a cold one. Just by suspecting, you already took action against the federal council."

Logan grinned. "Truth usually starts with doubt."

The next day, in the Snow Dragon Central Square.

The altar that used to stand in the center was gone.

All that was left were four huge arenas.

Around the arenas, countless defense spells were glowing.

Logan and the others reached the arena, and staff immediately checked their identities.

First match: [Ocean's Guardian·Nabo] vs. [Golden Lion·Bull Ape].

To keep Nabo's strength a secret, Logan used the Resonance technique right from the start.

As a result, Nabo's power and size suddenly exploded. With just one kick, he crushed the entire arena, and even the opponent, [Golden Lion·Bull Ape], was crushed to the ground, struggling and howling in pain.

Logan looked at Nabo, who had now grown to the size of a football field, and sighed. "Sometimes, a big body really does mean more power."

Second match: [Horned Hawk·Red Feather] vs. [Icebound Phoenix (Divine)].

Logan wasn't taking any chances against an opponent clearly using a [Divine Fruit].

Plus, Yelena had one too, so he could compare them.
