A metaphorical set of eyes opened, and multiple digital-like windows greeted the being with their blue light.

"What—" A powerful booming voice shut down his interrogation.

"Choose."

Pressing not for an answer, but for a choice.

Hastening the process the unknown entity hidden from the mortal's eyes knew all too well.

The reincarnation of the [Dimension 1] entities was a real chore, but it did not have much choice.

"Bu—"

"Choose." The voice asked once more, cutting the being in the process.

With a frown, the aforementioned [Dimension 1] mortal, took his eyes from the endless space surrounding him, done with trying to discern the entity speaking to him.

Answers about his situation were not something he was about to gain judging by the haste of the voice. Besides, if he remembers correctly he died moments ago.

This probably was the process of being reborn, or some strange reincarnation cycle like he once saw in those strange stories on the internet.

Eyes slightly squinting at the blue and bright light, shining like a beacon in this endless obscurity, he observed the choices he had to make.

]

"That's... A lot of options. I don't know much about most of them, although I can recognize Kryptonians, like Superman I guess? Still, it's not on the list. Perhaps because it is too powerful?" The mortal began to ponder, scratching his head.

"Besides the mythological races that are quite self-explanatory, if I do not choose the human option, who knows where I'll end up?"

"World is chosen afterward. The choice is definitive." The voice boomed, leaving a shred of information.

"Well, that solves the problem. Judging by sheer power, even an offshoot version of Kryptonian would ensure my survival right? That leaves me with Daxamites and Viltrumites. I would have chosen to be a mutant, but it's all or nothing.

I didn't read much of either DC Comics or Marvel Comics, but I do know that some mutant powers are simply ridiculously weak. Hell. Some are even weaker than baseline humans.

Ain't no way I'm putting any trust in my luck.

Now as for my options... Daxamites grow like Kryptonians I guess but the weakness of lead... In a world where most projectiles are filled with leads, it's an amazingly bad idea.

And if there is an Earth where I'm going, I don't want to be forced to explore the cosmos to find another planet to live on to avoid the risk of dying.

Which leaves me with Viltrumites. It's not optimal but it's the only thing that gives me a clear advantage with a somewhat manageable weakness."

As if listening to him, the moment he made his choice, the window disappeared, accompanied by the booming voice.

"Choice selected. Viltrumite Race confirmed— Choose."

Once more, the voice asked for a choice to be selected.

"... I don't know much about any of those. I would have chosen Viltrum but considering it is a war-monger race, I would prefer to meld into the crowd. Let's just choose that first Earth option. At least I have a decent knowledge of Marvel Comics— I think."

"Choice selected. Planet Earth (Marvel) confirmed— Choose."

Once more, another list appeared.

[Choose three advantages :

1. Unmatched Aggression

Description: This particular Viltrumite exhibits a unique level of aggression that is far above the already brutal nature of their species. Raised in an environment where only the strongest survive, this Viltrumite is a walking embodiment of wrath. Their anger and aggression serve as a constant driving force in combat, making them unpredictable and dangerous.

Benefit: They can overwhelm enemies through sheer force of will and aggression, often making them impossible to reason with or control. In battle, their anger amplifies their physical strength and durability, allowing them to take down even the most resilient foes.

2. Perfect Combat Instincts

Description: This Viltrumite has honed their combat instincts to a razor-sharp edge. While other Viltrumites are formidable in battle, this one can predict an opponent's moves with near precognitive accuracy, thanks to years of intense battle experience and genetic predisposition toward perfecting the art of war.

Benefit: They can anticipate an enemy's attack patterns, even before they fully understand them themselves, giving them a massive advantage in one-on-one combat. This makes them nearly impossible to land a hit on in hand-to-hand combat, as they are always one step ahead.

3. Hyper-Accelerated Healing

Description: This Viltrumite has a highly developed regenerative healing factor, allowing it to heal from even the most grievous injuries in half of the time it takes other Viltrumites. Whereas other Viltrumites can heal quickly, this individual's cells regenerate at an exceptionally fast rate, even repairing injuries that would take others weeks or months in mere days.

Benefit: In battle, they can sustain heavy damage and keep fighting, making them nearly invincible in long-term confrontations. They also recover from fatigue and physical strain far faster than their counterparts, ensuring they remain at peak performance longer.

4. Unbreakable Willpower

Description: This Viltrumite possesses an unshakable resolve and an iron will that allows them to overcome any mental or emotional trauma. They have developed an unparalleled ability to resist psychic attacks or mental manipulation, even in the most stressful situations. This trait is so unique that even some of the strongest telepaths or mind-controlling enemies struggle to influence their thoughts or actions.

Benefit: This willpower allows them to withstand intense mental pressures, stay focused during missions of high risk, and remain steadfast even in situations where other Viltrumites might falter.

5. Tactical Genius

Description: This particular Viltrumite stands out due to their innate strategic brilliance. Unlike the typical Viltrumite warrior who thrives on pure strength and combat prowess, this individual excels in the art of warfare. Raised in a culture that values pure combat, this Viltrumite went above and beyond, focusing on tactics, resource management, and battlefield strategy.

Benefit: They have a natural ability to outthink and outmaneuver enemies. In battle, they can form complex strategies on the fly, turning the tide of even the most hopeless battles. They lead entire fleets and armies with an almost perfect understanding of military operations, making them a powerful asset to the Viltrumite empire.

6. Hyper-Durability

Description: While most Viltrumites have enhanced durability, this individual's body has evolved to withstand unimaginable levels of trauma. Their skin and bones are far denser and tougher than those of other Viltrumites, providing them with almost impenetrable resistance to damage. Even powerful explosions or attacks from superhumans fail to faze them.

Benefit: This Viltrumite can endure extreme physical punishment, including damage that would incapacitate others. Whether hit by nuclear blasts, falling from great heights, or being impaled, they remain largely unharmed, making them nearly indestructible in battle.

7. Master of Psychological Warfare

Description: This Viltrumite is not only a warrior of great skill, but also a psychological manipulator. They possess an uncanny ability to manipulate their opponents' emotions and perceptions, either through sheer presence or subtle actions. This individual's charisma and understanding of psychology allow them to break an enemy's spirit before ever landing a blow.

Benefit: In combat or diplomacy, they can destabilize enemies mentally, causing fear, doubt, or confusion. This often results in their foes making mistakes or even surrendering before the fight truly begins, giving them a massive advantage in both physical and psychological warfare.

8. Sonic Resilience

Description: This Viltrumite has a unique resilience to sonic-based attacks. While many species would be overwhelmed by the force of sonic vibrations or sound-based weapons, this individual's internal structures are adapted to withstand such attacks.

Benefit: They can ignore the effects of high-pitched sounds or sonic blasts, maintaining their combat effectiveness even against enemies who specialize in sonic or vibrational assaults. This makes them a difficult target for a wide range of sound-based abilities.

9. Regenerative Battle Adaptation

Description: A select few Viltrumites possess the ability to adapt their bodies to extreme combat scenarios in real time. This Viltrumite can heal rapidly from injuries and evolve new resistances based on the nature of the damage taken.

Benefit: If injured by a specific weapon, environmental hazard, or enemy ability, this Viltrumite's physiology can shift to provide enhanced resistance or faster healing the next time they encounter the same type of threat. This makes them difficult to counter in repeated battles, as they quickly learn and adapt.

10. Tactical Pain Tolerance

Description: This Viltrumite has undergone extensive training to mentally compartmentalize pain, allowing them to ignore or even push through otherwise debilitating injuries. This ability allows them to function at full capacity even when gravely wounded.

Benefit: In the heat of battle, this Viltrumite can sustain severe injuries without hesitation, continuing their fight as if they were unharmed. It also allows them to withstand painful situations for longer, such as prolonged torture or environmental discomfort, without losing effectiveness.

11. Cosmic Awareness

Description: This rare Viltrumite has a heightened cosmic awareness, enabling them to sense and understand larger universal phenomena. They can detect cosmic threats, shifts in the balance of power, or even subtle disturbances in space-time.

Benefit: This ability allows them to stay ahead of intergalactic threats, sense the presence of powerful entities, or track cosmic disturbances. This gives them a tactical edge in battles with galactic or even multiversal consequences, as they can predict and respond to threats before they manifest.

12. Precognitive Reflexes

Description: Unlike the typical Viltrumite, this individual possesses mild precognition when it comes to immediate danger. While they cannot see the future in a broad sense, they can predict immediate threats, such as an enemy's next move in battle.

Benefit: This allows the Viltrumite to avoid danger by reacting before it happens, whether by dodging an attack, blocking an incoming strike, or countering a move in mid-air. This makes them incredibly effective in combat, as they can anticipate and evade even the fastest, most unpredictable strikes.

13. Bloodlust

Description: This Viltrumite has an increased bloodlust, evolving to the point where they experience heightened pleasure from combat and destruction, boosting their physical capabilities the more intense and bloody the battle becomes.

Benefit: As they inflict damage, their body releases adrenaline and endorphins, pushing them to new levels of strength, speed, and aggression. The more injuries they cause, the more empowered they feel. This makes them a terrifying and unstoppable force in long, drawn-out battles.

]

"The [Sonic Resilience] one would be incredibly good, getting rid of one of my weaknesses, but... the [Regenerative Battle Adaptation] would eventually do so if I can manage to train it before it is used lethally against me.

If there is one thing I lack, is the means to use that strength effectively. [Perfect Combat Instinct] would make me a real threat to even the most skilled warriors.

As for the last one... [Hyper-Durability] is great but... because I already have [Regenerative Battle Adaptation], I would reach that level eventually... I think. Not being bothered by a sword through my chest however sounds badass as fuck.

So let's go with [Tactical Pain Tolerance]."

Confirming his choices, the voice once more echoed.

[Choices selected. Synchronicity found. Origin decided. Review your profile, changes are unallowed.]

[Name: Vik-Tor

Age: 20 years old

Race: Viltrumite

Traits: [Tactical Pain Tolerance] / [Regenerative Battle Adaptation] / [Perfect Combat Instinct]

Description: 185 centimeters of pure alien muscles. His back hair is braided on his head. The trademark mustache of Viltrumites added an edge to his sharp face.

Background: A viltrumite warrior, one-of-a-kind that was swallowed by a strange wormhole leading to another universe' Earth. Trained from a young age like most viltrumites, he has shown how great he adapted to even the most grievous injuries, allowing him to survive and even thrive during the culling of his race.

Still growing in power, members of his race once believed him to be the most powerful Viltrumite, even surpassing The Grand Regent.

Stranded in an unknown universe, he has to adapt to his new life, far from the conflict of his race, would his warrior-mentality prove to be an obstacle in his endeavor?]

"Oh. So I'll be an entirely new pers—" His voice was once more cut.

This time, however, was not by the entity manipulating things in the shadow but by a blinding light that quickly transported his soul elsewhere, marking the beginning of his adventure.

Silent echoed once more in the place before another mortal appeared.

"What's hap—" "Choose."
