Chapter 248: Terrible As Such_3
"Hey! Put your hands up! Let me see your hands!!"
"Don't you move!!"
"Which street do you hang around on? Don't you know drug trafficking is illegal? Where did you get this stuff from?"
The officers had just wrestled a few of the Blacks to the ground, shouting loudly at them. The Blacks couldn't withstand the pressure, got utterly flustered, and promptly owned up to their criminal acts, even snitching on their supplier.
"We got the goods from the Carnation Club, because they had a discount promotion going on, trying to clear out stock, so they released a large batch of goods. Officer! I can't breathe!!"
The officer completely ignored his plea for mercy, grabbed Black, and threw him into the car.
"I'm arresting you for the crime of illegal dissemination and trafficking of drugs, you have the right to remain silent, but anything you say can and will be used as evidence in court. If you cannot afford an attorney, we will provide one for you free of charge. If you wish to speak to your attorney, you can stop answering questions at any time, and have your attorney accompany you through the entire questioning process."
"I want a lawyer! I want to apply for a lawyer!!" Black blurted out without a second thought.
"Good. We will arrange a lawyer for you, this is Mr. Dave, the defense attorney from the Southern Branch court. He will defend you, accompany you during the case review, until the court sentences you to bail for guilt or releases you for innocence."
The officer called over Dave standing nearby and sternly said, "Mr. Dave, would you mind handling the evidence collection and accompanying review for him."
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it." Dave nodded without hesitation and took on the task.
Meanwhile, on the streets in Zone 5, there was also a sizeable number of undercover officers, specifically targeting those dealing loose drugs. The moment they dared to pull out their big treasure from their pockets, the officers pounced on them, pinning them to the ground, madly lashing out.
In just a few hours of sudden ambush, a total of 24 suspects were arrested, almost all of them Blacks, all handed over to Dave for processing. He was certainly in for an overtime work night.
As for the Carnation Club, that's a property belonging to the Biker Gang MC, which has been in business on the streets of Zone 5 for many years. Although it's known that a grey market chain exists, police officers rarely go picking fights there, as they too are paid protection money.
Sieg learned some rough intelligence from Mig, the senior police officer, and relayed it to Allen Zhang, "I heard they have connections with the deputy director of the Southern Branch, often bribing this deputy director. Mig is just a senior police officer at the Southern Branch; his rank is too far below to push through an investigation request."
"That's not complicated? If Mig can't touch him, then we switch to someone who can handle it."
Allen Zhang smiled, sent a message to Blitz, asking him to drop a hint to the vice president of the Agent Association, to let the FBI take someone over for an investigation.
Blitz: I've already notified him.
Allen Zhang: Collect all the evidence of the club's tax evasion and provide it to the FBI. Flatten it tonight, shut it down for good.
Blitz: ok.
The leaders of the Biker Gang MC were celebrating a day's earnings at the Carnation Club when they were suddenly subjected to an FBI raid.
Several cars stopped in front of Carnation, FBI members hurried out of the vehicles, and the passing Black waiters were inexplicably slapped twice, the door kicked open.
"FBI!!!"
"Raise your hands! Someone reported illegal drug trafficking here!!"
The guests in the club were bewildered by the FBI's arrival, and the VIP room members upstairs fled in panic, but they were also stopped by the ruthless FBI officers with guns.
"Sir, we've found a large amount of organic substances and leaves, as well as contraband money and goods, in the warehouse and safes, and several suspects trying to escape have been captured by our people!" An agent reported seriously to the supervisor.
The head of the FBI operation checked immediately and found pure stuff, box by box, quite a quantity, a sentence of several hundred years?
He waved broadly, "Arrest them all!!"
