Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The Path of the Beast Hunt and Unrelenting Training

After months of intense practice and innovation, Lu Fan decided it was time to venture beyond the confines of his makeshift training grounds in the valley. With his skin fully tempered, his muscles strengthened, and his bones reinforced, he had reached the peak of mortal martial arts. However, he knew that the next step—becoming an innate martial artist—required more than just sheer determination and hard work. He needed a critical resource: beast meat.

Having ventured through this area before with his escort team, Lu Fan was familiar with the deep forest surrounding the valley. The path he sought was well-trodden by various beasts, making it an ideal place for him to set his trap. The landscape was familiar, but now it was time for him to adapt it to his needs.

Lu Fan knew that this would be a dangerous endeavor. But his preparation was meticulous. Armed with his remote bomb, night vision goggles, and his camouflage gear, he carefully planned his next move. The forest was full of potential dangers, but it was also a treasure trove of beasts—each one holding the nutrients he needed to fuel his advancement in martial arts.

Finding a secluded spot along the path where the beasts frequently traveled, he hid the bomb strategically in the ground. His heart pounded as he finished setting the trap. Then, taking to the trees, he donned his camouflage clothes, blending in perfectly with the surroundings. His heartbeat slowed as he settled into position. His training had taught him patience, and today, patience would be his most valuable weapon.

Lu Fan stayed still for four hours, his body growing stiff with the prolonged wait. But his focus never wavered. He knew that the beasts wouldn't come right away, and he had learned to remain patient when waiting for the right moment. The wait felt endless, but eventually, it paid off.

A massive bear, larger than any animal Lu Fan had encountered before, lumbered down the path. It was as big as an elephant, its massive paws creating thudding sounds as it moved. Lu Fan's eyes locked onto the beast, his hand instinctively reaching for the remote trigger. He waited for the perfect moment.

As the bear reached the bomb's location, Lu Fan pressed the trigger. A deafening explosion rocked the forest. The shockwave sent the bear flying through the air, and it crashed to the ground with a heavy thud. Lu Fan wasted no time. The beast was dead, its enormous body lying motionless on the ground.

Swiftly, he descended from the tree and moved toward the fallen bear. Using his storage space, he quickly stored the carcass, ensuring he wouldn't be detected. With the meat now in his possession, Lu Fan made his way back toward the valley, ensuring he moved quickly and quietly.

The hunt had been a success, and with the bear meat secured, Lu Fan felt a weight lift from his shoulders. The next few days were spent reading Amazzone books on bear cooking techniques, and he experimented with various recipes to prepare the meat. The food provided a steady source of nourishment, and it was exactly what his body needed to continue his rigorous practice.

With a mountain of beast meat at his disposal, Lu Fan could now focus on perfecting his muscle tempering. The increased supply of nutrients allowed him to push further than before, and he finally perfected his muscle tempering, reaching the peak of Iron Bone. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his journey—bone tempering.

Bone tempering, like muscle tempering, had multiple stages. The first stage, Iron Bone, was where Lu Fan found himself now. His bones were dense, resilient, and capable of withstanding intense physical stress. But Lu Fan knew that he couldn't stop there. To fully unlock his potential, he needed to continue progressing.

Six hours of practice a day became his new routine. With enough food to fuel his body, his progress accelerated. In just two months, Lu Fan transitioned from Iron Bone to Steel Bone, his bones becoming even more indestructible. His physical prowess was growing at an astonishing rate.

The next stage was Silver Bone, and it took Lu Fan another three months to achieve it. He was now a bone tempering expert, his body strong and refined, honed to near perfection. But his journey was far from over. The path to becoming an innate martial artist required him to push beyond the limits of mortal strength.

With his bones tempered, Lu Fan entered the organ tempering realm. Like the previous stages, organ tempering also had three levels: organ tempering, blood tempering, and bone marrow tempering. This was uncharted territory for Lu Fan, and he felt the strain of the new training regimen on his body.

For the next six months, Lu Fan poured everything he had into this new phase of his cultivation. His organ tempering was the first to be completed, followed by his blood tempering, and finally, his bone marrow tempering. With all three completed, Lu Fan had reached the peak of mortal martial arts. Only one step remained before he could truly transcend into the realm of the innate martial artist.

But as was the case in his previous training, Lu Fan found himself stuck once again. His progress had slowed. Despite his perfect execution of every step, his body seemed to be resisting the next stage of evolution.

Rather than give up, Lu Fan focused on his resources. He increased his intake of food and continued to generate electricity to power his practice. To further enhance his training, he returned to his electric pond, a makeshift system that allowed him to soak in concentrated electricity while practicing his techniques.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Lu Fan's body began to show signs of change. The electricity, once merely a tool for power, was now flowing through his body in an organized manner. The electricity coursing through his veins moved in patterns, like a living current, responding to the precision of his movements.

Through this new method, Lu Fan discovered something remarkable. His body was undergoing a subtle transformation, as the electric energy acted as a catalyst for further tempering. The electricity was now enhancing his inner energy and pushing him closer to the innate realm.

He continued to practice with the same unrelenting focus that had carried him this far. It was only a matter of time before his body would be ready to break through to the next level. With every practice session, Lu Fan felt himself inching closer to the coveted title of innate martial artist.
