Chapter 229: Teaching The Champ & Lead On Luger.

Leo waited patiently for the second round to begin while Vance Floyd was still in shock. He felt as if he was a child who was facing an adult. Nothing that he had in mind worked against Leo. Vance mumbled to his trainer, "He is faster than me, and his punches, they appear to be taps but they pack a lot of power, I can tell clearly that he is holding back. What should I do?"

The trainer turned around to look at Leo who was sitting with his eyes closed and said, "May be try to get closer and duke it out? However, that would be something to think in a real match. This is not a place for you to try to duke it out as it could cause injuries."

Vance nodded, he knew that he was all set to make a debut on the world boxing scene and it was not going to be easy if he ended up hurting himself like this. The bell rang and Leo stood up from the stool. He patted his gloves together and dashed over.

Yes, he decided that he should let out some steam in this round because Vance didn't look too promising to him. Vance had just put up his guard when the young man came close to him and the rain of jabs disrupted his thoughts.

Leo basically played around with Vance as if the latter was a punching bag. He jabbed through the champion's guard, and then practiced all his punches, hooks, upper cuts and straight. After the first combination of his left and right, Vance was knocked out cold, but Leo didn't let him fall, he targeted the body and kept Vance on his fist.

The sparring match was literally akin to a god of death dancing inside the ring and tormenting his pray. The trainer was mesmerized, but soon he woke up and threw in a towel. Leo stopped his punch and held the fallen rival in his arms. He looked at the trainer and said, "Old man, you are so slow that I could have killed him three times."

His words caused the old man to realize what happened and cold sweat broke out of his forehead. He rushed over with the assistants and took Vance down on the canvas and tried to wake him up. Leo had gone very light and Vance woke up in a few seconds. Then the assistants and the medical officer on the site performed some tests to check the extent of his injuries and found that the impact was limited to light bruises only.

Vance looked at Leo and asked, "How did you become so strong? How?"

Leo replied, "I have always been strong, but I just didn't show it. Strength without a purpose is just a useless jewelry. Your fists don't have a purpose anymore, after all, you have come a long way from being the miserable student, so no wonder they have become lighter. However, if that is how you want to enter the world, I suggest that you migrate to some other nation and represent them."

That said, he stepped out of the ring and was about to change his clothes when Vance said, "Leo, can you help me train? Please, If only I have ten percent of your strength, I would be undefeated."

Leo looked at the champion and then he jumped out of the ring. He came close to a pillar, it was a proper metal chunk cut in a cylindrical form that was placed in the arena. Leo looked at the man and asked, "You want ten percent of my strength?"

Vance nodded and Leo clenched his bare fist and made a quick jab on the pillar. A loud clanging voice echoed in the basement and Leo said, "That is my ten percent strength, had I used even this much, you would have died fifty times with your head exploding like a watermelon."

Vance and the rest could see a two inch deep indent of the fist on the pillar. The impact had caused the heavy three ton cylinder to move back by two inches. They all gulped and Leo spat on the ground as he said, "You want to become a world champion by relying on someone else? Tch, too much of success probably made you soft like a worm."

Vance felt a wave of irritation walk over him when Leo insulted him. He asked loudly, "What do you want to say, you bastard? Just because you are stronger doesn't mean that you can dictate me."

Leo chuckled and replied, "I don't have the time to lecture you, jerk. You have achieved enough to forget where you came from and why you started boxing? Because from what I remember you were an animal back in college. Guess even the legends fail. Kyle we are leaving, and stop idolizing this jerk, he is about to die on that world stage because his hunger has been satiated."

After saying that Leo left the place, and none of the people had the guts to even ask him to stay back and talk to Vance.

...

In the car, Leo didn't care if Vance would be able to survive the mental pressure of his words. He wouldn't flinch even if Vance was to die from a brain hemorrhage. Leo looked at Kyle and said, "Call the guys in your teams, I will spar with them."

Kyle was happy that he got Vance's knockout on video, but after hearing what Leo said, his face turned pale. Kyle shook his head and replied, "Sir, please, don't do this. The boys are working really hard these days, if you beat them up with anger in your mind, they will die. Please forgive them."

Leo clenched his fist and then he drove it through the dashboard of the vehicle. He was enraged, although he understood that his wife only wanted him and Lily to understand the consequences of their actions but this was too much. He calmed down after a few more minutes, and said, "Let's go home."

Kyle nodded and drove them home. Leo didn't go back inside his room, he went to the study and began to look at the things his enemy was doing. After all, the last meeting with Stellar had yielded him some results. At this moment, his phone rang.

He checked and found the call belonged to Yelena. He picked it up and asked, "Yes, Miss Jones."

Yelena heard his voice and she could understand that something was wrong, so she asked, "Sir, is this the right time to talk?"

Leo hummed in affirmation and Yelena said, "Sir, I have found a guy named Dante Luger. He is the right hand man of this lady, Matilda Luger. I can arrange a meeting if you want to."

Leo replied, "Tomorrow morning, right away."

Yelena was shocked, she didn't expect Leo to hate the Lugers so much, and just when she wanted to remind him of their capabilities, but Leo disconnected the call after saying, "I will prep the plane, I will leave in tonight, my passport is ready."

Yelena replied, "Sir, if that is the case, you should come to the Aryan State."

Leo nodded and disconnected the call, before he called his staff to prep the plane, they were always on call, and after the call they had two hours to go through all the basic checks and in the meantime, Leo made a quick trip to his room, where Snow as reading a book, and he said, "I got a lead on the Luger family and I have to get going now. Also, I know that it would be a violation of the punishment, but I will say bye to Lily."

Snow didn't have a problem, she knew Leo would suffer but she could sense that even though he was talking calmly, he didn't match her gaze. She observed the tint on his knuckle, but she didn't say anything, this was the deal.

Leo packed his stuff, he came up to Snow, kissed her forehead and then dashed out of the room to look for Lily. He found that his daughter was sleeping in the bed, but he could see that her brows were furrowed. He sighed and massaged her forehead gently before giving her a kiss, and then wrote down his message on a piece of paper, and wrote a small note on it before pasting in on the bedside lamp.

Then Leo stood up and sighed as he left the room with heavy steps. Snow had come to see him off, and she could see that even when he was giving her a smile, something was missing. The same was her reaction tonight. She also didn't like this situation but it was necessary.

Soft parenting might give Lily more freedom, but when the freedom was left unchecked, it became anarchy, and they didn't want Lily to be like that, however, something should tell them what the consequences could be like.
