NOVEL NEXT Chapter 1: PROLOGUE:
"Hugo!!"
The voice seemed to come from below as he climbed up the cable in determination to get to zalom.
"Hugo!!"
This time the voice sounded closer and he turned to see Alita running towards him.
"Stop." He said as she ran towards him.
"You have to come down, we can't stay up here."she said sounding desperate as she stood some feets away from him.
"There's a bounty on me. This the only way." Hugo said sadly and turned to go.
"No, this is dangerous. We have to get down, now." She said more desperately.
"If I go back down there, am dead."
"No. You have to listen to me, okay?" She said more desperately. "I have been right here before. This is exactly where Nova wants you." She said her voice breaking in tears. "He's using you to get to me. Come on we have to go back down."
"We belong up there Alita." Hugo said pointing upwards to zalom.
"We don't belong anywhere except, together." She said with tears in her eyes.
She stretched her hand towards him expecting him to take it.
"We will always be running." Hugo said with doubts.
"Together." Alita answered with tears and her voice breaking down. "Come with me." She said her hand still extended towards him. "Please." She said in a husky teary voice. "We could be free."
Just then a serrated defence ring around the cable they were on which leads to zalom dropped down at high speed towards them.
"Okay." Hugo said.
"Okay." Alita repeated as she chuckled in relief and stretched her hands towards him.
The serrated ring tore through the clouds concealing it.
"No!!!!!!!!!!" Alita screamed as she ran to wards Hugo with her sword drawn.
Hugo realized the danger to late and tried to jump over the ring but his new body lack the capacity Alita's body have. And the ring shredded his body leaving only his upper halve, she dived over the ring and caught him just as he was sliding off the cable using her sword to act as a hook as she stabbed it into the cord holding Hugo's hand and what was left of his body. They both grunted as she tried to pull him up.
"Hold on." Alita said try to pull herself along with him onto the cable. "I gat you."
Hugo grunted in fear as the screw connecting his arms begin to lose as she tried pulling him up.
"Okay okay, don't move." She said as she saw the fear in his eyes. "Don't move am gonna lift you up slowly." She said as she was about to break into tears.
She tried pulling him up again and more nuts got lose. The she started sobbing as she knew pulling him was futile.
"Thank you...." Hugo said as he knew there was no way he could survive just the his hand lossend the more. ".....for saving me" he said as he looked into her beautiful eyes.
"I love you." She said as his hand go lose the more. "Nooooooo.." she screamed as his hand cut off and he fell through the clouds.

The scream followed him as he jolted up from his dreams.
"Project 117, please report to the maintenance room." The voice on the intercom said. And he stood up and walked towards the maintenance room.
"Please step onto the pedestal." The voice said again and he walked towards the pedestal with cables around it. Immediately he stepped onto it the cables fixed them selfs onto his arms and legs and he felt everything go black.
"Well come project 117. You have a new mission." A man voice boomed through the intercom. Then with a grin the man said. "Distroybthe one they call Alita the battle angel."
"Your will is my command, master Nova." He said kneeling down.
