NOVEL NEXT Chapter 38: CHAPTER 38 ::- The Banquet
Silence decended as those on the city walls trembled while there heart pounded. They thought of how strong this two are. 'Soul Empero realm.' they all thought to themselves in tripidation. They did not want to offend someone powerful as this.
The City lord and the vice City lord floated towards Odili and ebuka. "I lord June the City lord of desolate City and Lord John vice City lord of desolate City We welcome you descendants of the undying star. Please let's celebrate your victory and allow us to throw a feast in your steed." Lord June said humbly.
The two looked at them. "I hope you don't have funny ideas " Odili said he did not want to be ambushed again. "We do not holabor malice towards our master the creator of this world nor did we resent him. We are not like the demonic souls, we are pure free from resentment and hatred" John said freely
The two nodded. "prepare a place for me and my brother." Ebuka said while the flew into the city. "We are handing over the authority of this region desolate valley region to you." Once lord June said this. A voice sounded in the two brothers head.
"The journey to conquer soul world and it's land has begun, this soul cultivation technique will be helpful use it wisely."
Five soul skills appeared in there mind. One is a soul purifier another is a soul fusion skills. The others were soul attacking and defence skills.
After absorbing the information another technique appeared in there head. This is an ancient soul, spiritual mana and Qi technique. It's used in summoning heavenly tribulation lightning for attacking and defence. It can be used to create clones refined and purifie materials or anything.
'this is something we needed the most. Ah it's cas act as a supportive technique like all rounder and modifiable .' ebuka said to himself. They reached there residence assigned to them. It's like an ancient mansion with many formations and inscription to controll the mansion. They spited some portal and telepotatin arrays inside the portals.
"How do we get out of here?" Odili asked his brother. "I don't know. It's best we finish our mission and claim this inheritance, that's our only best shot at leaving here." Ebuka replied Odili sighed he felt home sick like he needed rest.
They went into the bath pool to take there bath while the servants began making preparations about the feast. The mansion became busy and buzzing as many people came in. They were shown there seats in no time as joyfully mood spread everywhere.
The City itself became lifely as the fear they had before vanish now they found a saviour. The citizens of desolate City believed that the two brothers will protect them with the power they have. No City lord in this soul land has the power of soul empero.
Oblivious to Odili and ebuka that the news about them has spread throughout soul world. Every valley and cities knew of there presence in desolate City. Every City lord began moving towards desolate City to met the descendants of the undying star god.
In the banquet hall many people were troping in, this people were from the other vallies and cities to attend this banquet. Odili and ebuka came out from bath into the banquet hall. Silence decended as no one wants to offend a soul empero.
Odili looked around and nodded his head in approval, He felt this people knew how to behave well. "Let the banquet and celebration begins " ebuka said as they walked towards the high table ment for them.
The merriment kicked off while men of tittles like the city lords came before Odili and ebuka. "Your majesty we are honoured to have you in our midst and greatfull for your help in saving our city from the demonic souls." City lord June said thankfully.
"It's not a problem, I will not let dose scums spreed any more causing havoc to any city under my rule." Odili said as he ate his food. "Ah thank you your majesty we will like to hand over the soul land and the vallies within." Said an old man. Oma the overseer of all city whom the city lords of each city work under in alliance.
Ebuka looked at him. "The blood of master runs in them I can sense it." The old lady whom was called the Priestest said as she walks in. The two scanned her with there souls sense but could not detect her soul power. " Am different I have attained spiritual body. So don't waist your energy." She said.
The two looked at the city lords before them and the Priestest. "You all have your propose of coming I will naturally hear what it out. Have a seat" ebuka gestured, they sat down. "You know my ancestore and why do you call him master?" Odili asked suddenly
The City lords looked at the priestess, "ah you don't know and so do them. Am the spirit of this world, while I get bored I use secret technique to be born in any family I chose as a priestess in this world. It's fun." She replied.
Everyone were flagabasted by this revelation of her. No one knew that she is the mother nature of this world and to live like them as she experience life while guiding them. "They are like your children." Odili asked but was cut out by ebuka "They are her children. Not like."
"Now I understand why you call him master. If it were not for the Priestest spiritual guide and mentorship this world would have collapsed after falling into chaos." Lord oma said. He remembered when the priestess advised him to form an alliance to help fight the demonic souls.
"Killing the demonic souls will pain your heart, but maintaining balance is the best solution. Where there is good there is evil." Odili said as he petied her. She had watched as he kill of her children
"They offended the descendants of master. So there punishment is well meted." She said not having any ayota of pity nor pained expression in her heart. "We can't let them run smoke bringing destruction all over the soul land." Odili looked at them knowing that they needed help to subdue the demonic souls.
The map of soul world appeared as oma began his explanation on the situation of soul land. The territories of the demonic souls were shown to the two while they listened and absorbed the information. There explanations were very detailed and complet more that what Kaine gave them.
Even Kaine did not speak about the demonic souls and the demonic soul beast. The two now has general ideas about this world. They learnt that the demonic variants has allied themself with an ancient chaos demon god to destroy this world.
Dou to this soul world laws the demon god could not decend into this world, he can only use the demonic souls to achieve his goals after killing there ancestor in a life threatening battle.
The Priestest explained to them about a friend of there ancestor whom was a strong primordial being that fought this demon god wen he learnt that there ancestor was killed. The information they got made them tremble in fear and aw.
"Where is this friend." Ebuka asked, he knew about the inheritance left by there ancestor but did not know were to locate it. But thanks to agwuna they were here and there eyes were opened as they gained knowledge and information about things that happened in the ancient time.
"His discarded souls incomplete ones are here. One is held captive by the demonic souls while the other can't be found. but first we have to brake the influence of that demon god." She said. Odili and ebuka sighed as the days ahead of them will be hard.
"Once we get the one in captive, I have a technique that can help us locate the other through the captive one." She added the two looked at themselves, feeling a greate head ache from the information they just digested.
Dancers walked in and began dancing, the mood in the banquet hall became joyous as some has drank more than they could take. "We will start cleaning up those scums tomorrow, so assemble your armies and be ready. Send your scouts to locate any demonic souls your vallies." Ebuka dished out command in no time.
"There is a demonic soul here in this mansion." Odili sent ebuka a soul transmission. This information shocked ebuka to the core, "I think he is here for us and this one is powerful." Odili said as he looked around leasurly.
No one knew what is happening, ebuka scan the whole mansion and discovered the demonic soul which was now walking towards the banquet hall. The soul power he detected were fierce and powerful to the extreme.
"Is he a soul empero I mean a demonic soul empero." Ebuka sent a soul transmission to his brother Odili. " I don't know yet but one thing is sure. We are going to fight him. That's the fact. Odili replied happily as his battle intent bloomed.
