After Time Traveling, I was Forced to Marry a Wealthy Family

Chapter 9

Gu Huai, tempted by the sight of Mu Ci, bent over to wake him up but hesitated when he reached his head. He ended up squatting by the bathtub, mesmerized by the sight of Mu Ci sleeping peacefully.

Wet hair clung to the side of his face, his small nose moved gently with every breath, and his slightly parted, pink lips resembled a sleeping cat on a summer day.

He couldn’t help but feel that the area beneath his suit pants was constricting. After a moment of hesitation and assurance that Mu Ci wouldn’t wake up just yet, Gu Huai leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on the corner of Mu Ci’s lips.

The sensation was brief but delicious, and Gu Huai couldn’t help but berate himself. The head of a powerful and wealthy family, facing his naked sweetheart, was reduced to stealing a kiss while the person was asleep.

If Bai Ling ever saw this, he’d likely laugh until he collapsed.

As Mu Ci mumbled in his sleep and turned his face, Gu Huai withdrew, watching him fall back into slumber. However, Mu Ci’s grip loosened, and a little yellow rubber duck tumbled out from his delicate fingers.

Gu Huai couldn’t help but comment, “Were you playing with this in the shower?”

He rolled up his sleeves and carefully tried to lift Mu Ci out of the water. The brief contact caused Mu Ci to stir, mumbling sleepily and turning away. Gu Huai cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment and said, “You’re awake. Cold water isn’t good for your health. Come out quickly.”

Mu Ci was still half-asleep and disoriented due to hypoglycemia. His mind was muddled, and he didn’t question why Gu Huai was there. Gu Huai helped him get out of the water.

When he stood up, Mu Ci was unaware of his nudity, his smooth and unadorned body displaying an almost ethereal beauty. The glistening water droplets clung to his fair skin, making him appear like a nymph emerging from the water.

Gu Huai was almost entranced by the sight and found it difficult to tear his eyes away. Mu Ci was taken aback when he realized his state of undress, swiftly grabbing a large bath towel to cover himself.

Blushing, he asked, “Why are you here?”

Gu Huai, taken aback by the unexpected situation, responded, “I saw the lights on in your room and came to check. I didn’t expect to find you asleep here… It’s fine; just dry yourself off. I won’t look at you.”

He pretended to turn away, giving Mu Ci a semblance of privacy. Mu Ci replied with a smile, “There’s no need to be so uptight. We’re both men.”

Nevertheless, he turned his back to begin drying himself. Gu Huai, on the other hand, continued to watch Mu Ci’s slender back through the mirror without any restraint. His gaze lingered on Mu Ci’s alluring, curvy waistline before descending further down, refusing to shift his focus.

His skin was fair and his shape was exquisitely appealing. It was soft and inviting, as if one could grasp it with just one hand.

Men definitely thought with their lower body and swayed by their desires. Gu Huai wasn’t an exception. If he had lingered longer, he might have lost control. Gu Huai glanced back at Mu Ci, who was already put on his night pajama and quickly opened the door.

They exited the bathroom together; it was a pity there was a fat meat in front of you but you could only look at it and not eat it.

In fact, with Gu Huai’s power, it was easy to deal with Mu Ci but he had no intention of coercing Mu Ci, who lacked identification and legal status. Even he, as the overlord, forced himself on Mu Ci, no one would care. But if he did it, Mu Ci might cry.

He believed in his charm and confident he could win Mu Ci’s heart within short time.

.

The next day, Gu Huai went to the head office as usual, leaving Mu Ci alone at home. The Gu family’s various industries were running smoothly. Gu Huai’s parents had the stable management which led to consistent growth. Therefore, everything was on the right track and he had nothing to worry about.

After finishing a meeting with the senior management, Gu Huai packed up and decided to return home without having lunch. He called the driver to prepare the car and head home.

The driver couldn’t help but speculate about the reason for Gu Huai’s sudden return to home, joking that he must have a new lover.

As he headed home, the temperature was quite low, but the floor heating in the hall was set to the maximum. Upon his arrival, Gu Huai could feel the warm breeze immediately.

The sunlight poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting fragmented patterns on the solid wood floor.

Gu Huai handed his coat to the maid, then walked into the living room. There, he saw Mu Ci sitting on the sofa, engrossed in watching TV.

Mu Ci had unique way of sitting, upright and graceful. He sat up straight, his hands neatly placed on his legs, his long, satiny hair cascading down his back. from Gu Huai’s perspective, only the side of Mu Ci’s face and his fair neck were visible, giving him an aura of elegance and poise.

However, despite his refined appearance, Mu Ci asked innocent question as he pointed at the large LCD screen in the wall and turned to Bai Ling with a puzzled expression, “Where did they find such tiny person and locked them inside the wall?”

Gu Huai chuckled at this and turned his attention to the screen. It seemed like a popular idol drama with cityscapes and bustling people.

Bai Ling slumped on the sofa, clearly exhausted from answering Mu CI’s previous questions. He let out a deep sigh and explained, “Little young master, I have told you countless times. Those people aren’t real, they are just images, recorded videos!”

Mu Ci was still puzzled, “I didn’t see any elephant inside?”

Bai Ling almost spat out mouthful of blood, he silently took a soft gold pillow beside him and covered his face, pretending to be dead.

Meanwhile, Gu Huai couldn’t help but find amusement in the situation, feeling entertained by Mu Ci’s naivety.

As Mu Ci got closer to the screen, he was startled when it switched to a close-up of a woman. Despite his surprise, he managed to keep his composure and not scream out loud, worried about his appearance.

Gu Huai decided to intervene and turned off the TV. Mu Ci turned to him, and with a polite nod, he greeted, “Hello, sir.”

Hearing this formal title, Gu Huai felt a sense of unfamiliarity and exchanged glances with Bai Ling. Gu Huai inquired if Bai Ling had taught Mu Ci to call him “sir.”

However, Bai Ling denied it, revealing that Mu Ci had picked it up from the television on his own.

Gu Huai inquired about Mu Ci’s opinion of the TV, and Mu Ci shared his fascination with it. Gu Huai, who had been casting subtle glances at Mu Ci, couldn’t help but smile and asked, “Is the TV good to watch?”

Mu Ci nodded and described it as “magical,” comparing it to a myth. Gu Huai couldn’t help but look at Mu Ci, and there was a subtle intensity in his gaze. He smiled, promising to teach Mu Ci about the many magical things in the world in the future.

Bai Ling, hiding under his pillow, couldn’t believe how shameless Gu Huai was. His boss was eyeing Mu Ci like a wolf reading to eat Mu Ci alive, yet Mu Ci seemed completely oblivious to any sense of danger.
