After the Villain Stopped Simping for the Heroine, the Heroine Regretted It!

Chapter 17:

Chapter 17: Shen Ruoyan’s Aggression:

In an instant, a terrifying aura filled the air.

The overwhelming presence of someone in the Tongtian Realm was far beyond what a strong man in the Nirvana Realm could withstand.

As expected, the Nirvana Realm cultivator had no resistance. He was immediately forced to the ground by the pressure, unable to move.

“Who dares to be so bold?”

Qin Yuan noticed the disturbance outside the palace. He raised his eyebrows, puzzled.

He had executed Su Qing in front of many witnesses, so it was unlikely anyone would dare to challenge him outside the Holy Son Hall now.

“Qin Yuan! Where is my brother? Where did you take him?”

After Shen Ruoyan subdued the guards, Su Mengyao barged into the Holy Son’s Hall without hesitation, demanding answers from Qin Yuan.

Qin Yuan glanced at her but remained silent.

His attention shifted to Lin Yun and Shen Ruoyan, who had followed her in. He particularly focused on Shen Ruoyan.

In the original novel, Shen Ruoyan was indeed Lin Yun’s master, but she had only become the queen of the sect after accepting Lin Yun as her disciple. This wasn’t the case now.

“Has the butterfly effect taken hold?” Qin Yuan mused inwardly.

But it didn’t seem to matter much.

After all, he had already altered the course of the plot twice, so it wasn’t surprising that Lin Yun had been accepted as a disciple earlier than expected.

“Qin Yuan, I’m asking you a question! Why aren’t you answering?” Su Mengyao’s anger flared at his indifferent attitude.

“Qin Yuan, as the Holy Son of the Heavenly Vault Holy Land, how can you ignore my disciple’s questions?” Shen Ruoyan added, her tone sharp. “Or are you saying you no longer want the Holy Son position?”

Qin Yuan met her gaze, his expression indifferent.

He wasn’t intimidated by Shen Ruoyan’s threats; she couldn’t strip him of his title with mere words. If she wanted to challenge him, she would first have to contend with the Qin family backing him.

“What’s with that look, Qin Yuan?”

Shen Ruoyan’s displeasure grew as Qin Yuan’s cold demeanor persisted.

The power of her aura, at the peak of the Tongtian Realm, emanated from her like the force of heaven itself. It seemed she was prepared to use her strength to suppress him.

“Ruoyan, what are you doing?”

Just as Shen Ruoyan was about to teach Qin Yuan a lesson, a middle-aged man wearing a golden silk robe with an ethereal presence entered the hall.

“Sect Master!”

Lin Yun and Su Mengyao’s eyes widened in shock. The name Shen Nan was legendary, and they had met him once before, so they recognized him instantly.

“This disciple has shown no respect for me, the Supreme Elder. I only intended to teach him a lesson.” Shen Ruoyan explained calmly, unshaken by the Sect Master’s arrival.

“You can’t violate the sect’s rules and forcefully break into the Holy Son’s Hall!” Shen Nan reprimanded her, his face showing a hint of anger.

“I haven’t done anything yet.” Shen Ruoyan retorted, crossing her arms defiantly.

Seeing her stance, Shen Nan hesitated, unsure of how to respond, but he began to inquire about the situation.

Shen Ruoyan recounted the events, adding her own details, completely ignoring Qin Yuan’s presence.

“Where is Su Qing now?”

After pondering the situation, Shen Nan turned his attention to Qin Yuan.

“The Dark Cave.” Qin Yuan replied calmly.

“What?!”

Su Mengyao’s eyes widened in shock as she heard this. She shouted at Qin Yuan, her voice full of anger and disbelief, “Qin Yuan, are you insane? That place is a living nightmare! How dare you send my brother there?”

“Qin Yuan, you’ve gone too far!” Shen Ruoyan interjected, taking the opportunity to criticize him. “As the Holy Son, you should be more tolerant. How can you inflict such a severe punishment on an outer disciple for a minor offense?”

Lin Yun, emboldened by his master’s words, added, “Yes, Qin Yuan! Just because you’re the Holy Son and live a comfortable life doesn’t mean you can treat an outer disciple like this.”

Shen Nan remained silent, but his expression spoke volumes.

Despite the trio’s aggressive stance, Qin Yuan’s expression didn’t change. His eyes remained calm, devoid of any emotion.

He had no interest in arguing or explaining himself. He simply sat quietly on the throne of the Holy Son.

The atmosphere grew tense.

Shen Nan knew it was time for him to intervene, but as Shen Ruoyan’s younger brother, he naturally sided with her.

“Holy Son, perhaps it would be best to forgive this disciple and release him.” Shen Nan suggested gently.

Qin Yuan inwardly scoffed but kept his face neutral. He nodded, saying, “Very well, I will forgive Su Qing and let him go.”

The others were momentarily stunned. They hadn’t expected him to agree so easily. Their surprise quickly turned to confusion. Qin Yuan silently laughed at their bewilderment.

Su Qing was already dead, replaced by a puppet under Qin Yuan’s control.

Since they wanted him released, he would do just that. After all, he had plans for this puppet.

The Su family was a valuable target, and Qin Yuan knew the system would reward him handsomely for dealing with them.

Some might wonder why Qin Yuan didn’t send his own people to handle the Su family.

The answer was simple: the Su family had strong ties to Lin Yun and was blessed with good fortune.

If Qin Yuan sent his men, things might not go as planned, and even if they did, the outcome wouldn’t be perfect.

But sending Su Qing was different. As a member of the Su family and Su Mengyao’s brother, his chances of success were much higher.

“Why did Qin Yuan agree so quickly?” Su Mengyao wondered, puzzled by his reaction. “Could it be that he still has feelings for me?”

“Yes, he must like me.” she concluded, a smile appearing onto her face. “If he didn’t, why would he release Qing’er so easily?”

“But even if Qin Yuan likes me, I won’t give him another chance. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have such a strained relationship with my father. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be in this miserable state,” she thought bitterly, blaming Qin Yuan for her recent troubles.

Soon, Su Qing was brought into the hall. His eyes were lifeless, and he looked utterly exhausted. But when he saw Su Mengyao and the others, tears welled up in his eyes.

“Sister, you’re finally here! You don’t know how much I’ve suffered.” He cried.

“Qing’er…” Su Mengyao’s heart ached as she rushed to help him up. After offering a few words of comfort, she shot a resentful glare at Qin Yuan.
