After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World

Chapter 1504: Entering the Terran Region

For the people traveling to Alterra, they camped out somewhere within the villages' zone of influence. It was a patch of forest with relatively less dense trees, though they did have to form some clusters since their group was too massive to occupy just one area.

"By estimate, we have entered the zone of Terran territories. This means that. The delineation of Alterra Town is about half a day away," Mao said. "This is a good place to camp."

The delineation of a territory referred to its radius of effect. This was where town-level monsters would start appearing. For example, there were some towns whose surroundings were more than a few kilometers had town-level monsters, some had wider influence, and so on.

For example, territories like Alterra easily affected Bright and Shrao village, which were tens of kilometers away.

Obviously, they could not face that area as they were now. The group was tired, especially after that fight with the Voumi forces.

Speaking of the fight, it was really a challenging one, though, because of Otto's quick and decisive handling of the level 40, the enemy's momentum faltered easily.

The soldiers, Sammy, Mao, and Minko—as well as Obi, who was also level 40 by the way—quickly took advantage of the pause and started a counterattack.

They were quickly supported by the rest of the Alterrans and allies, and suddenly the arrogant enemies found their formation destroyed, and each one of them had to fight against a handful of enemies.

The average level of their side was lower than the enemies', but who could survive a shower of elements? Not Voumi's powerhouses.

They did not expect a few powerhouses to be in this party, and they certainly weren't expecting the 'weak' ones to be so brave in front of dozens of level 30s!!

Anyway, the rescues were in awe.

To watch the people who unilaterally abused and tortured them for months struggle and lose was…liberating, to say the least.

They gaped as Otto created small tornadoes that imbalanced the beasts, they blinked as they saw Sammy's powerful wind arrows that never missed, and they swooned whenever Obi's sharp fiery slashes took down an enemy.

They clapped every time Mao created earth shields to cover for them or created holes that enemies' would fall into. And then there was Minko and his skilful use of water, including suffocating a handful of enemies at a time.

They didn't know elements could be used like that!

Even their trainors in Voumi Town only knew the basics, demoing the bare minimum to show off their 'prowess' to the low-level slaves.

They'd show off and expect them to figure it out on their own, often times throwing them to beast mobs in the name of training.

The former slaves' current strength was based on grit and luck, and they felt sad when they thought of their perished friends who could've survived if they had just been taught well enough.

Anyway, Otto and Obi were so overwhelming! The strength of level 40s was really something else.

Then there were also the soldiers, whose fighting abilities far exceeded their levels. For example, Sammy focused on handling the level 35 Mes, while Minko took on Len with a few Alterrans.

And the level difference was not small, but the soldiers were never pushed back at all!

Seeing the tide turn to their side so quickly was really unbelievable. The former slaves soon got rid of their shock and joined in the fight!

They were incredibly passionate and seemed to have energy even after the fight.

This would probably be their last chance to exact revenge; after all, they could not miss this even if they get injured in the process!

Explosion of attacks, skills, and elements was abound.

Fos and many other aborigines gaped. Thousands of elementalists throwing elements around… who wouldn't stare?

At the same time, they felt excited. Like the others, they were allowed to recruit! If the person chose them, then they could take them back to the territory!

Even level 30s, if they were showered by dozens and dozens of elementalist attacks, could only give in. For example, one of the mercenaries who had tortured some terrans before found both of his legs eaten up by the soil he stood on!

Two different earth elementalists were responsible for this. He could not even struggle for long enough to escape the traps, because more attacks would smash at him from every other angle!

It didn't take long for his equipment to completely break down, with each attack literally scraping off a bit of life as seconds passed!

"This is what you get for killing my friend!"

"This is what you get for torturing my uncle!"

What awaited this person was a brutal death a few minutes later.

This was a similar gruesome sight everywhere.

The Voumi formation quickly buckled down and chaos ensued. A portion realized that they were outmatched and tried to escape. In these cases, Otto and Obi were quick to adjust, taking the role of blocking the way and ensuring there would be no leaks.

They'd rather Voumi believe that they still had the upper hand in their investigation. Even if the Lord checked his panel to see so many people dead, he'd definitely think twice before sending a new batch.

If he still had enough powerhouses to send out, that is.

Before they could celebrate though, a new problem rose—monster mobs.

All that blood was bound to attract a lot of monsters, but no one was shocked nor were scared anymore.

Not to mention, the former slaves were high from staining their weapons with their enemies' blood! Their fighting spirits were at an all-time high at the time.

So…right after ridding of the Voumi folk, their group handled the monster mobs that they attracted. Fortunately, the monsters were only village-level, so the powerhouses didn't need to move much.

The elites stayed on the sidelines for that fight, just helping out when things got too overwhelming.

These people must've felt extremely stifled. They were so insecure before as slaves, and even with their friendliness, the former slaves were definitely still stiff, as if afraid to completely believe in their newfound freedom.

Now…they looked bright.

Even if they looked a little bit psychotic with all that enemy blood on their weapons and their clothes, it was healthy to let a bit of pent-up bloodlust out!
