Chapter 345 This Depends on Fate_2
"Alright. I understand, I'll let Vivian know. Let's leave it at that for now."
Anna finished speaking and hung up the phone directly, clearly a bit angry.
Chen Feng shook his head and put away the phone. He really couldn't understand why Vivian was still looking for him and Qin Zhen.
To be honest, they're really not that familiar with her.
Now that she had the protection of the police from Rabbit Country, with four bodyguards, two men and two women, and Anna, her highly paid assistant and translator, she even reportedly had two maids flying over to serve her.
After Chen Feng refused her, he put the matter aside.
However, the tranquility he felt earlier was disrupted, and he found it difficult to regain it, so he decided not to sit there any longer.
Getting up, he headed towards his East Lake Villa. Just as he reached the main road, he saw an Audi Q7 suddenly stop next to him.
Then, he saw Li Liqin getting out from the driver's seat.
Chen Feng, seeing her, almost turned around to flee, but managed to restrain himself. This woman, although she had been quite forward before, trying to fake it and attempting to PUA him, was ultimately Li Shengping's niece. So now that they met, basic politeness had to be given.
"Chen Feng, we finally meet again."
Li Liqin had a smile on her face, and her expression wasn't overly excited. Instead, she seemed very composed, as if she were meeting an old friend she often saw.
"Yes, here we are again."
At least outwardly, Chen Feng showed no sign of awkwardness.
"Since we've met here again, it means we're really meant to be. It's almost mealtime now, why don't we grab a bite together?"
Li Liqin casually invited Chen Feng.
"Sorry, someone's waiting for me at home, I need to go back for dinner."
Chen Feng politely declined.
Li Liqin raised an eyebrow and said in a slightly mocking tone, "Is it the woman you're living with? She's not your girlfriend, let alone your wife. You value her so much that you go back to have dinner with her? Are you afraid of her?"
Chen Feng wouldn't fall for such clumsy provocation, shaking his head, he said, "You might not know, but I went abroad a few days ago, just got back today. Since she has to go to work, we haven't met yet. So, I need to have dinner with her tonight."
"You went abroad?" Li Liqin curiously looked him over, "Which country?"
"Europe."
"For what?"
"You don't really need to know the details, do you?"
If it weren't for her uncle's sake, Chen Feng would've left long ago, instead of indulging her here.
"Alright then. Since you have such a solid reason, it seems I won't be able to have dinner with you today. But remember, you owe me a meal. I hope you can treat me in a few days. Is that okay?"
"I'm going back to my hometown in two days, probably staying for ten days to a couple of weeks."
Chen Feng's clear refusal turned Li Liqin's eyebrows upward, and with a touch of anger, she said, "You're really overdoing the rejection. Am I so ugly that you detest me that much?"
Chen Feng felt utterly speechless, thinking, clearly you're the one bothering me, but you're making it seem like I've wronged you.
"I'm not lying to you. I'll contact you when I'm available later." Saying this, Chen Feng quickly tried to divert her attention, "Your car shouldn't be stopped here for long, better drive away soon. I also have things to do, need to go."
"No way, you have to give me a definitive answer this time. When will we have dinner together?"
Li Liqin reached out and held onto the departing Chen Feng, stubbornly staring at him.
Chen Feng was truly impressed by her persistence. On the street, it wasn't appropriate to pull and tug, especially with some curious onlookers watching.
"Let's talk when I get back from my hometown. I truly don't have free time in the upcoming days."
"I need a specific time. How long will you be back from your hometown?"
Chen Feng felt somewhat annoyed and regretful, thinking if he'd known she would behave like this, he would've resisted more and avoided getting dragged into a motel at all.
"Two weeks later, how's that? You can contact me then."
After saying that, Chen Feng shook off her hand, bypassed her, and strode towards the sidewalk.
Li Liqin watched him quickly walk away, stomped her foot in annoyance, then quickly got into the car, starting it to drive towards Chen Feng's direction.
Just then the light turned red, the car was blocked, while Chen Feng was able to cross the street under a green light, soon disappearing from view. By the time her red light turned green, she'd long lost sight of Chen Feng.
Li Liqin angrily slapped the steering wheel several times.
Since Chen Feng directly rejected her last time, she'd been holding onto a flame inside her. Only Chen Feng could extinguish it.
She wished she could muster the courage to ignore Chen Feng, the scumbag, and never cross paths again.
But the more she wanted to forget him, the more he occupied her thoughts, especially at night when alone in a quiet house. Lying in bed, she often thought of Chen Feng, recalling their passionate encounter, causing her cheeks to flush and heart to race, imagination running wild, keeping her awake at night.
She believed she wasn't the kind of girl always obsessed with such affairs, otherwise, she wouldn't have gone over a year without a sex life before, but of all her experiences, only with Chen Feng did she truly feel like a woman.
More importantly, Chen Feng met all her criteria for a partner: handsome, wealthy, good-tempered, able to have fun with her, and not too badly educated, able to engage in intellectual conversation, inevitably making her feel attracted.
That's why she'd been so proactive before, acting somewhat out of character by frequently sending Chen Feng harassing messages.
Reflecting on that childish behavior afterwards, she also felt it was somewhat immature.
Yet, in that psychological state, it was hard not to do such things.
In short, ever since she hooked up with Chen Feng, she's found herself suddenly taken with him, wanting to pursue him.
After so many days, she couldn't deny it anymore.
However, she knew she couldn't bombard Chen Feng with harassing messages anymore. Not only was it ineffective, but it would also further antagonize him, and she didn't even know where he lived to find him.
So, every day whenever she had free time, she'd drive around East Lake, the area where they last unexpectedly met, hoping to run into Chen Feng.
She believed her fate was intertwined with Chen Feng's; if not, they wouldn't have ended up together last time either.
Her efforts finally paid off after days of roaming, and she finally saw Chen Feng today.
While this seemed like destiny for both, it was truly the result of her persistent efforts.
Chen Feng certainly didn't know this, thinking their meeting again was purely a coincidence.
