Chapter 11 Indeed Worthy of Being My Daughter
"What on earth were they thinking?"
Isabella was a bit stunned, her face looked lost, and without a doubt, she was one of the few who said during the earlier vote, "Lord Yila probably couldn't win, right? Wouldn't this mean he'd die?"
In other words... Isabella didn't want Yila to do anything else.
"Maybe? But this was Yila's own decision."
Yose said, munching on the burger in his hand. He bit and chewed the burger seriously... Before this, he'd never eaten fast food, but he'd heard Yila mention it many times.
Honestly, it didn't taste great, but... he could definitely understand why "fast food" was called "fast food."
"Yila was already really angry, you and I both knew how dedicated he was to his dreams... Everyone respected Yila's opinions, and they were all angry. If you saw the empire destroyed, wouldn't you want revenge?"
Saying this, Yose pushed another burger on the table in his daughter's direction... He had secretly brought her out for fast food today.
Interestingly, Igrain, just like many federal mothers... thought fast food was unhealthy.
"I'm indeed angry, but I don't care about revenge. I only care about whether Yila would be alright..."
Isabella said, looking worried, hesitating as she picked up the food and whispered, "But I respect Yila's opinion... does he have confidence he'd win?"
The answer to this question was evident.
"Clearly not~"
Favignano, carrying a tray, naturally inserted himself into the father-daughter conversation, followed by Reverie, who still showed features of a Silver Dragon.
Favignano sat at the table next to them, and Reverie smiled apologetically at Isabella and Yose before sitting down... Apparently, the four didn't plan to meet but just ran into each other.
"If Yila had confidence, even if it was just fifty percent, he wouldn't have asked us like that... hahaha!"
Favignano seemed to know Yila very well, spreading his hands and laughing, "He wouldn't have informed everyone that way; he'd just tell a few people 'I'm going to kill the World Tree Beast, it'll take some time,' that's all."
Honestly, Favignano's imitation of Yila's tone was quite accurate.
"..."
Isabella remained silent, realizing that Yila was indeed of that nature... in other words, facing the powerful World Tree Beast, Yila himself had no certainty.
Or, perhaps, Yila didn't think about... whether he could win.
"But... can Yila really win?"
*Rational Isabella couldn't help but ask, sighing worriedly. Yose was also unsure... He could only console his daughter, shaking his head, "Maybe he could."*
*Maybe he could, no... he definitely could! At least, that's what Isabella hoped.*
"Yeah, that's right... If Lord Yila did something, given his usual style and character, he must have discovered something, or he'd have an absolute backup plan."
It sounded like Isabella had confidence in Yila.
But...
"Hahaha! He might have a backup plan, but whether he'd use it is another matter! His style now is becoming more like mine! Even if he can't win, he'd still fight! That's my boy!"
But Favignano's loud laughter attracted the attention of many in the fast food restaurant, causing Reverie to cover her face, trying to pretend not to know him.
However, for the current Yose and Isabella, Favignano's words seemed a bit too much... it shattered their beautiful expectation, but it had to be admitted.
Favignano was probably right... Yila really went into that "uncertain battle."
"Yose... you and your daughter don't have to look at me like that?"
Favignano said, casually biting into the fried chicken in his hand, his teeth easily tearing the bone and flesh together, swallowing, and then, while chewing, speaking unclearly, "If you only fight when you're sure, wouldn't that be too boring?"
Looking at the calm father and daughter, Favignano swallowed the chicken and then said confidently, "No matter if you can win or not, you have to fight! Whether it's simply wanting to fight or wanting to hit someone! Just fight!"
These were very typical words of his, crude and straightforward, but somehow correct... yes, sometimes battles weren't just a means to gain *something*.
Sometimes it could be to vent anger, to express rage, or... just to simply fight.
...
Perhaps, Favignano understood very well what Yila was thinking at the moment... Yila, oh Yila, smart for a lifetime, but still ended up being an idiot.
But who could say... that being straightforward as an idiot was bad?
"Such an idiot."
Yose couldn't help but say such, not being able to tell if he referred to Yila or Favignano in front of him. He asked, "Aren't you bringing your daughter here to eat?"
Yose was naturally referring to Satan Ye.
Favignano knew this, nodding casually, reaching for the tart on the table, "Satan Ye? She went to fight with Yila."
Oh, so Satan Ye had always been Yila's follower.
Yose: "Oh, I see... no wonder she didn't come to eat with you..."
Isabella: "..."
Reverie: "Went to fight together?"
"..."
The three showed shocked expressions when they realized what was happening, especially Reverie, who knew her daughter left early in the morning but didn't know exactly where to play.
This Silver Dragon mother nearly instantly grabbed the cheerfully munching tart from Favignano, shaking his neck frantically amidst his clueless expression, "What did you say?! Explain it clearly!"
Favignano was clearly puzzled, realizing after a while why the three reacted this way.
"Ahaha, don't worry, don't worry."
Favignano said while laughing. He looked regretfully at the tart that fell to the ground and said, "That's why I said! In this matter of Yila, Satan Ye and I are definitely better than you two!"
In an inexplicable way, Favignano had remarkable confidence, laughing loudly with a proud expression of a father. He pointed his thumb to his chest——
"Sure enough, that's my daughter!"
