After Being Reborn, I Refuse To Be The Holy Son Of The Sect Anymore

Chapter 1:

Chapter 1:

At the Azure Sun Sword Sect, within the grand hall.

A young man dressed in white stood calmly.

Outside the hall, countless disciples peeked in, eager to know what was happening inside.

“Xiao Yang, do you know your crime?”

A stern voice echoed within the hall.

“Senior Brother, this time you’ve caused too much trouble. Please, just admit your mistake to Father!”

Beside Xiao Yang, Junior Sister Jiang Ting anxiously tugged at his sleeve.

Standing nearby, Qin Fei chimed in: “Senior Brother, though I don’t understand why you falsely accused me of secretly reading the sect’s revered technique, the True Sun Sword Manual, you are the Holy Son of the sect and the role model for all disciples. If you confess, I’m sure the Master and the elders will show leniency.”

“Is that so?”

Xiao Yang looked calmly at Qin Fei.

He had been reborn, returning to this very day when his junior brother Qin Fei framed him.

In his previous life, faced with Qin Fei’s false accusations, he had been hysterical, desperately trying to defend himself while accusing the Master of injustice and Jiang Ting of favoritism toward Qin Fei. Even the disciples sided with Qin Fei.

Not only did he fail to clear his name, but he was also punished with confinement in the Reflection Cave on the back mountain.

Who would have thought that this pitiable, obedient boy with an innate Dao physique, hailed as the sect’s chosen one, was actually the young master of the Demon Sect?

Qin Fei had joined the Azure Sun Sword Sect ten years ago.

During that time, he played the victim, feigned weakness, and earned everyone’s sympathy.

Gradually, cultivation resources were funneled toward him, the Master personally mentored him, and even Xiao Yang’s parents took him in as their godson.

Everyone’s attention was fixed on Qin Fei, the so-called chosen one.

Even the Master grew distant from Xiao Yang. Whenever Xiao Yang’s parents obtained anything valuable, their first thought was to give it to Qin Fei. Jiang Ting was inseparable from him, and even Xiao Yang’s sister, Xiao Yue, adored her godbrother, sidelining her real brother.

Over the past decade, Qin Fei sowed discord and spread lies, steadily altering Xiao Yang’s relationships—with the Master, his peers, Jiang Ting, his parents, and his sister.

And now, Qin Fei had finally revealed his fangs.

This was just the beginning.

In the future, Qin Fei would strip Xiao Yang of everything—his position as the Holy Son of the sect, the Junior Sister he loved most, and even his family.

Who could have imagined that this so-called chosen one would one day slaughter countless lives, using their blood to break the Demon Abyss seal and turn the world into a horrifying purgatory?

Scenes from his previous life flashed through Xiao Yang’s mind.

His final battle with Qin Fei came to mind.

On the summit of True Sun Peak, they fought for ten days and nights.

Just as Xiao Yang was about to deliver the killing blow, Jiang Ting rushed forward without hesitation, shielding Qin Fei with her body.

The woman he had cherished his entire life had, in that critical moment, chosen to protect his enemy.

At that moment, Xiao Yang’s heart shattered, leaving him utterly desolate.

When Qin Fei’s sword pierced his heart, Xiao Yang didn’t even try to dodge.

That sword—how ironic—was none other than the True Sun Sword, the sect’s supreme weapon, given to Qin Fei by their Master, who had once treated Xiao Yang as a son.

The sacred sword of the sect rightfully belonged to Xiao Yang.

The divine armor Qin Fei wore was crafted by an expert from the Weapon Refining Sect, paid for by Xiao Yang’s father.

That armor should have been his.

The breakthrough pill Xiao Yang had risked his life to obtain for Jiang Ting was instead gifted to Qin Fei, allowing him to reach the Saint Martial Realm and stand as Xiao Yang’s equal.

His own loved ones had practically placed the weapons in Qin Fei’s hands to destroy him. They were all accomplices to Qin Fei’s schemes.

Especially Jiang Ting.

Even at the final moment, she chose Qin Fei, shielding him with her life.

They had thoroughly shattered Xiao Yang’s heart.

As his soul dissipated in his previous life, Xiao Yang witnessed Qin Fei wielding the True Sun Sword in a massacre within the sect.

When Jiang Ting was pierced through the heart by Qin Fei’s sword, her face was filled with disbelief.

The Master, Jiang Qitian, died with his cultivation drained by Qin Fei, unable to find peace even in death.

His parents, burned alive by their “obedient” godson Qin Fei, were left in despair.

His sister was sold into a brothel by Qin Fei. Despite begging for mercy and kowtowing until her forehead was bloodied, Qin Fei coldly took the money and walked away.

Now that he had a second chance at life, Xiao Yang would let the world see the true nature of this so-called chosen one. He wanted to see who would stop this apocalyptic catastrophe.

Determined, Xiao Yang decided not to defend himself.

He glanced at the sect master, Jiang Qitian, then at the gathered elders, his gaze cold.

“I plead guilty!”

A stunned silence filled the hall.

Even Qin Fei froze, momentarily dumbfounded.

After all, this was a trap he had set for Xiao Yang.

He never expected Xiao Yang to plead guilty outright.

“Very well. Xiao Yang, as the sect’s Holy Son, secretly studying the sect’s sword manual and falsely accusing a fellow disciple are severe violations of sect rules. However, considering your past contributions to the sect and lack of prior misconduct, you will be confined to the Reflection Cave on the back mountain for three months,” declared Law Enforcement Elder Lei Lie.

Qin Fei remained outwardly composed but was seething internally.

Three months of confinement? After ten years of scheming, this was all he had achieved?

“Senior Brother, since that’s settled, why don’t you apologize to Junior Brother? I’m sure he’ll forgive you. Right, Junior Brother?” Jiang Ting looked at Xiao Yang expectantly.

“Senior Sister, how could I ask Senior Brother to apologize to me?” Qin Fei feigned humility.

“You want me to apologize to him?” Xiao Yang stared at Jiang Ting in disbelief.

They had grown up together, practically inseparable. Xiao Yang had always adored her.

But no matter how good he had been to her, in the end, she chose Qin Fei.

Recalling the moment Qin Fei had stabbed him in his previous life, Xiao Yang’s expression turned colder.

“You made a mistake. Shouldn’t you apologize to Junior Brother?” Jiang Ting said angrily.

“Senior Sister, I don’t know why Senior Brother falsely accused me, but it must be my fault. I must have offended him somehow. Please don’t let this affect your relationship with him,” Qin Fei added, seemingly modest, but inwardly pleased.

Xiao Yang ignored Qin Fei and stared coldly at Jiang Ting without saying a word.

“Senior Brother, Junior Brother has been gracious, but you owe him an apology,” Jiang Ting insisted coldly.

Though Xiao Yang no longer cared for Jiang Ting, seeing her defend Qin Fei so fiercely still made his heart ache.

“Take Xiao Yang away!” Lei Lie ordered with a wave of his sleeve.

Two law enforcement disciples stepped forward.

“Wait!” Xiao Yang suddenly shouted.

Everyone turned to look at him in confusion.

“I, Xiao Yang, request the sect to strip me of the title of Holy Son!” Xiao Yang suddenly knelt on one knee, tearing off the Holy Son token from his waist and holding it above his head.

“What?!”

The hall erupted in shock.

“Senior Brother, you…” Jiang Ting’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Outside the hall, the disciples were in an uproar.

The Senior Brother was asking to be stripped of his title? Wasn’t that effectively ruining himself?

Even Qin Fei was stunned. He had worked so hard to bring Xiao Yang down from his position, yet Xiao Yang had voluntarily relinquished it?

Sect master Jiang Qitian rose abruptly.

The gathered elders were equally shocked.

“What did you say, Xiao Yang?” Jiang Qitian demanded, staring at him.

“I request the sect to strip me of the title of Holy Son!” Xiao Yang repeated firmly.

The destruction of the sect and his family? That wasn’t his problem anymore.

Junior Sister? He didn’t want her.

Master? He didn’t care anymore.

Parents and family? Let them fend for themselves.

This time, he wouldn’t be the sect’s Holy Son.
