Chapter 132: Princess Rhea
The bright white light slowly seeped into the young man's body, revealing his transformed attire. His shiny black dragon leather suit was now a high-quality cream-colored silk outfit, with silver vine patterns woven into the fabric. The edges and hems were adorned with gold threads, making Siegfried look like a noble gentleman in an instant.
"Player Siegfried has received the Alberich outfit set. Once equipped, it cannot be replaced with any other outfit for the rest of your life. The Alberich set cannot be bought, sold, traded, or discarded. The set's properties include self-repair..."
"Player Siegfried has received the title of Guardian of the Stars, granting him the secret skill Light of the Tree and the secret skill Vanishing Tree..."
"Player Siegfried has inherited the profession of Healer, gaining the Healer skill Recovery, the Healer skill Vigorous, and the secret Healer skill Blood Blaze Down..."
"Player Siegfried has completed the secret quest Path to the King, acquiring all the treasures within the King's Tomb, totaling thirty-nine billion coins..."
Siegfried opened the descriptions of the new skills he had just acquired.
"The Healer skill Recovery is a skill that heals injuries and restores health to a designated target. The healing ability depends on the skill level. The Healer skill Vigorous is a skill that restores energy to a designated target. The restoration ability depends on the skill level. The secret Healer skill Blood Blaze Down causes the blood within the target's body to burn intensely from the inside. The intensity of the burn depends on the skill level."
The young man was astonished by these rare skills, especially Blood Blaze Down, which seemed as terrifying as Chang Long's Reaper Possession skill.
"Now I can finally rest in peace. Siegfried, my heir, continue to hone your skills and grow stronger to await the day of reckoning for the Supreme King of all kings..."
Heaven spoke with a smile, glancing at Chang Long before his body turned into light and vanished.
"Is it over? What do we do next?"
Lidded Wet Trash Can asked in confusion. The events had gone smoothly, which was unbelievable after their constant life-threatening challenges. Though Pirate King Heaven's body had vanished for a while, everyone seemed to still be in shock.
"Let's collect the treasures so we can get out of here,"
Chang Long replied, starting to pick up the treasures on the ground leisurely.
"But aren't all the treasures Siegfried's?"
Hero asked. If they collected them together, their bags might mix up, and they might not be able to return everything to Siegfried.
"No, everyone has worked equally hard. Therefore, the treasures should be divided by eleven. So, each person gets around three billion five hundred forty-five million, four hundred fifty-four thousand, five hundred forty-five coins,"
Siegfried replied with a smile.
"Really? You'll share with me, Mister Siegfried!"
Kimhant asked, feeling touched. Now he could finally establish his newspaper properly, with the grand ambition of becoming a leader in the news, overshadowing the Journalists and Writers Association that had brought him down to his lowest point.
"Of course. So, let's gather everything up so we can get out of here quickly,"
Siegfried laughed softly at Kimhant's reaction and then started collecting the treasures. When everyone heard Siegfried's permission, they began gathering the treasures. Naturally, no one took the full amount as Siegfried had mentioned. They simply picked a few items they wanted and a bit of money, then helped collect the rest for Siegfried to make it easier for him.
Jane and Hero felt as touched as Kimhant. They did not expect Siegfried to be generous enough to share millions with new friends like them.
Three hours later, everyone had helped gather all the treasures and made their way out of the treasure room through a secret passage behind the stone platform, which was the base of Pirate King Heaven's ivory throne. They walked through a narrow, dark passage for another hour, encountering numerous long-haired black spiders along the way. Peach Blossom jumped onto her brother's shoulders, while Valentine clung tightly to Chang Long's arm, eyes shut, not daring to look around.
"Hey! I see light ahead, everyone."
Draco exclaimed joyfully, as he was also struggling to stay in the dark cave. The same applied to his friends, everyone became more enthusiastic upon hearing that they finally saw an exit and hurried toward the light streaming cheerfully.
"Stopp!"
Draco shouted to his friends following closely behind, as he reached the hidden exit and found it was a steep cliff. Draco's hope shattered when his friends unintentionally bumped into him, sending him tumbling over the edge.
"Draco!"
Siegfried yelled in alarm. Oliang and Wet Trash Can were also knocked down but managed to grab the cliff's edge, they did not fall like Draco did.
"Firetail!"
Draco called out to his three-meter-long fire dragon. It spread its wings wide and flew to catch its master, ignoring Hero, Aden, and Chang Long, who were also falling.
"Whoa!"
Chang Long exclaimed as she fell into the thick bushes of a large tree a distance from the cliff. The sounds of crashing and rustling echoed, then went silent, making everyone's faces pale.
"Master!"
Kitsune agilely jumped down after Chang Long, while Kimhant found a safe spot to hide, fearing he might fall as well.
Draco quickly directed Firetail to the ground to check on Chang Long and apologize, even though he expected her to react angrily. What he saw instead left him stunned: Chang Long lay still, eyes closed, with her head resting on the lap of a beautiful blonde woman in a sheer white dress, who was bending down to kiss her lips.
"What! The!"
Draco whispered in shock as Kitsune jumped down from the tree. Kitsune did not care about the woman kissing his master; he rushed over to check Chang Long's body out of concern.
"Master, how are you!"
Kitsune called out frantically to Chang Long, who showed no signs of response.
"Your master is unconscious. She was impaled by a sharp rock in the shoulder and lost a fair amount of blood. I helped heal her, and she should wake up soon."
The blonde woman said to Kitsune with a gentle smile.
"Th... thank you very much,"
Kitsune replied gratefully, sitting by his master's side, who still lay peacefully on the mysterious woman's lap. Perhaps exhausted from the trials in the Pirate King's secret tomb, Chang Long slept soundly until morning. Meanwhile, their friends who had climbed down the rope set up camp nearby, also weary from their adventure.
The men stared at the mysterious woman without blinking, while Peach Blossom watched with irritation. The woman continued to smile sweetly without tiring, occasionally brushing Chang Long's hair gently away from her face with her white delicate hand, looking like a loving couple.
"Who are you, and how did you get here!"
Peach Blossom finally asked, unable to stand it any longer.
"Are you asking me?"
The woman turned to Peach Blossom. Her phrasing indicated to everyone that she was likely an AI in the game.
"Of course. You're the only one sitting there. Who else would I ask!"
Peach Blossom retorted irritably.
"Oh, I thought you were asking this young man,"
the mysterious woman replied cheerfully, reaching out to gently stroke Kitsune's cheek, causing him to blush slightly.
"Answer the question. Who are you?!"
Peach Blossom demanded impatiently.
"Me? My name is Rhea,"
the mysterious woman replied with a frown, displeased with Peach Blossom's attitude.
"Rhea!"
Everyone exclaimed in unison, surprising Rhea.
"Do you know me?"
Rhea asked, puzzled by their reaction. Everyone seemed quite excited to meet her.
"If you are Princess Rhea of Tartarus City, then yes,"
Hero said excitedly.
"Oh, I see. You must be sent by my father. It's been so long since he sent someone to visit me,"
Princess Rhea said, smiling widely with joy.
"Are you the only one here on this island with you, Princess?"
Kimhant asked after everyone introduced themselves to Princess Rhea. Peach Blossom made Siegfried anxious because she neither apologized nor spoke nicely to Princess Rhea.
"No, I'm here searching for a little white rabbit that ran this way. This area is quite dangerous, so we usually avoid it,"
Princess Rhea explained.
"Who are you staying with, Princess Rhea? Why haven't you returned to the king? Do you know how much he misses you?"
Kimhant asked, curious.
"Because my love is here. I stay with him,"
Princess Rhea replied with a smile, her eyes reflecting happiness as she spoke of her beloved.
...
Beep, beep.
"What's up, Dun? Where are you? I've been waiting forever,"
a young man glanced at his wristwatch, which had suddenly beeped wearily. Seeing who was calling, he quickly answered.
"Stop calling me Dun! My full name is Duncan. The ship will dock this evening,"
the person on the other end replied in a tired tone, annoyed that his friend always shortened his name, even though there were just two syllables.
"Good. By the way, there's a crowd at the town notice board. I'm about to check it out, but you called. Do you know what's going on?"
Crown asked, squeezing through the crowd to see the system notice.
"How would I know? I've been on the ship the whole time. Wait... it looks like there's a crowd at the noticeboard on the ship too. I'm too lazy to push through. You check it out and tell me,"
Duncan replied, equally bored.
"...Alright, wait a minute,"
Crown sighed, trying to weave through the other players to get a clear view of the notice. What he saw left him stunned.
"Hey, why are you silent? Did you see the notice?"
Duncan asked when his friend went quiet for a long time.
"Dude... the second Pirate King's Secret Tomb has been discovered."
This simple sentence on the system notice board caused a huge commotion among the players, with discussions erupting in the public communication channels, crashing the communication system again.
"Someone found the second Pirate King's Secret Tomb, Dun!"
Crown told his friend, having managed to extricate himself from the crowd.
"What? Who found it?!"
Duncan exclaimed in shock.
"I don't know. The game didn't give any more details to protect that player's interests. If I found it and the game announced it, I'd be swarmed by the big guilds,"
Crown replied, sounding weary. He hoped the map in his hand would lead him to the Pirate King's Secret Tomb as well, fearing it might be too late since the second tomb was discovered so soon after the first.
"Have you opened the map you got yet?"
Duncan asked as he returned to his cabin on the ship.
"Not yet, but I did find a clue about the wolf head symbol on it,"
Crown replied softly, worried.
"Really? ...Well, I found out something about the message on the map. The one that says only the true heir can read it,"
Duncan said, making Crown's eyes widen as he quickly asked.
"What do you know, Dun!"
"If you don't stop calling me Dun, don't expect me to tell you anything!"
Duncan replied angrily, annoyed by how his cool name was shortened.
"Oh, come on, Dun, just tell me!"
Crown ignored his friend's ultimatum and continued to press for information.
"Bye!"
Duncan cut off the conversation abruptly, leaving Crown wide-eyed and hastily apologizing.
"Alright, alright, Duncan, please tell me! Please, my dear friend, the most handsome and brilliant on Earth!"
Crown flattered, half mocking, in surrender, making Duncan laugh in amusement.
"Hahaha, fine, I'll tell you. What I heard is that you have to find the weapon of the map's owner and form a contract with it before you can read the map!"
Duncan answered seriously.
"Where did you get this information?"
Crown asked, incredulous, as the information Duncan just gave aligned with what he had heard from an old man selling ceramic dolls.
"From the group I joined to complete a magical map reading quest. Why?"
Duncan asked, frowning.
"They let you join their quest and shared such important information? Who are these people, Dun...can!"
Crown exclaimed, forgetting himself and causing other players to look his way. He quickly switched the conversation to a private channel.
"Well... they are really nice people. I think they've encountered maps like yours before, so they shared that information with me,"
Duncan replied, puzzled by his friend's overreaction. He did not know that Crown's map was actually a treasure map of the Pirate King's cave.
"So, someone in that group must have discovered the Pirate King's Secret Tomb..."
Crown muttered to himself.
"What was that?!"
Duncan asked, not catching his friend's words clearly.
"Nothing, just hurry up and get here. After that, I'll take you to explore the southern desert together,"
Crown replied, then ended the call, deciding it was best to discuss everything when Duncan arrived. He then set off to find a potion shop and other essential supplies to prepare for Duncan's arrival.
