Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 253: Dead or alive ?

"You thought I only had a middle-level fire law? … No. My reality law is at the middle level too," Void said with a laugh.

Kilu's mind cleared instantly. His eyes, when they locked onto Void, now held fear.

The spectators were just as stunned as Kilu. All Shera and the others had seen was that, at some point, Kilu suddenly stopped fighting.

He stood frozen like a statue. Then, to their shock, he began smiling—before anyone knew it, he was kneeling before Void.

Without suspense, this fight was already over.

"Shera… did that evil being use some kind of mind power on the holy one?" Meka asked, his dream of worshipping the holy being now shattered.

Shera gulped, equally stunned. "It appears so…" she said absentmindedly, her thoughts racing.

Back at the battleground…

"Finish it, demon," Kilu said, accepting his fate as he closed his eyes.

He looked like a battered general who had given his all, yet still found it wasn't enough.

Void grinned as his palm descended, gripping the angel's head.

"You fought well," Void's cold, mocking voice said, just as Kilu felt his body begin to disintegrate.

In seconds, Kilu's body was gone, leaving behind only a terrifying, concentrated soul floating in the air—a sight only Void could see.

"Even though I won this battle, I'm not far ahead… besides, this Seraphim isn't truly dead. He will awaken in the future," Void muttered, stroking his chin in thought.

Sparks erupted, drawing the attention of the stunned spectators.

Here stood dozens of martial kings—the highest realm warriors on the evolving Earth. They were the cream of the crop.

Yet… these two beings they had just witnessed were far beyond their comprehension. Now, their lives lay in the hands of the victor.

"I wonder… when he regains his memories, will he scream? Will he rage? Or will he fear me?" Void grinned, his laughter making the inhabitants feel as though their hearts had lodged in their throats.

They watched the evil being laugh, then stretch out his hand. They didn't understand what he was doing when he opened his mouth, exhaling—at least, that's what it looked like. In reality, Void devoured the soul.

(Ding! Gained 1B soul)

(1,000,000,000 / 3,000,000,000)

Void was now one-third of the way toward becoming a high-level Rank 3.

Bit by bit, he was approaching the realm above the multi-universe.

He was approaching Rank 4. Soon, he would be a Rank 4 demon.

Void savored the taste of the soul, his eyes closing in enjoyment.

Finally, he licked his lips and turned to face the insects who had been spying on his battle.

The moment his gaze landed on them, the crowd froze.

For Shera, the strongest among them, it was nothing but a glance—yet it felt like a raging tsunami colliding with a small pond. No… she was even less than that.

She felt as if the very sky was pressing down on her.

"We have some insects here," Void said. He didn't know their language, but laws allowed him to project his words so that all could understand.

Hearing his deep male voice and understanding his words made their hearts pound even harder.

He called them insects—and he was right.

He was a prehistoric power, awakened during the planet's awakening. They had seen his strength in his battle with the holy being—or so they thought.

They never dared imagine they had just witnessed a battle between an angel and a Primordial Demon.

"Come on…"

The voice dragged them out of their thoughts, only to find themselves being pulled closer to the battleground.

And then… they saw the shadow.

The dozens of martial kings slowly looked up, and there he stood—Void's four-meter-tall Primordial Demon form.

Oppressive from afar, it was overwhelming up close.

Six wings. Claws. Scales. Horns. Four eyes. Twice their size.

The minds of young and old powerhouses alike froze.

What would this being do? Kill them? Destroy them? Eliminate them?

Thoughts swirled as they awaited their fate.

"You stay. Others leave," Void said, looking at Shera.

Ehn?

The crowd was puzzled. The powerhouses hadn't even reacted yet.

They didn't know what to do. Void's command made no sense to them.

Seeing them hesitate made Void narrow his eyes slightly. Slowly, he lifted his hand—

Then waved.

But to the martial kings, this wave was anything but slow or ordinary.

Their eyes widened as they saw a colossal palm sweep across their vision.

The wind was so powerful it sent them flying, nearly approaching a sonic boom.

"I forgot… is this how weak planets truly are?" Void thought, genuinely shocked.

In his fight with Kilu, they had both focused solely on each other, causing little damage to the surroundings. But now, with Kilu dead and his strength touching the environment again, he could feel it—

Everything here was far too fragile.

That's why his hand movement had been so slow. Any more, and space could have torn apart—or worse, the entire planet could have disintegrated.

"System… I wonder, will there come a realm where I can't even enter planets, universes, or multiverses without destroying them, even at minimum power?" Void asked.

(Yes, host. You are a danger to the universe right now. Entering rashly will destroy it.)

"But I've only just unlocked my Primordial Demon Body… this universe is still—"

Suddenly, Void froze, looking up at the sky in shock.

"This universe… has been erased," Void said.

(Yes, host.)

The reply was short—but carried heavy meaning.

Void's gaze returned to the woman standing before him. Her posture was straight, her body elegant, and her aura strong—at least by her planet's standards. She was probably a "daughter of destiny."

For Void, she wasn't worth checking. A waste of time.

But what he saw next was terrifying—she wasn't truly here.

No one was.

They had all already been destroyed in the clash between him and Kilu. The only reason they were "alive" now was because their battle had fractured time itself.

Once time healed, the universe would collapse—and every living being in it… would die.
