Absolute In/Existence

Chapter 79: Jae-Hwa’s Enlightenment

A/N: As the author, I have liberation in the way the story develops. I'm developing a new technique for Heaven, which will allow him various liberties and ways to grow stronger.

One of these liberties might be the change of his gender. I am asking if you all wouldn't mind Heaven turning into a woman, or even a futanari.

Of course, none of this will happen if the majority decide so.

Leave a comment and your vote. Liberty in changing gender, Yay or nay.

(Note: He will not have any relation with another male character within any of these three states. Which includes traps, unless some of you would like that as well, which again, leave a comment.)

With a woman leaning on his shoulder and a tiger cub sleeping on his lap, Heaven was casually fishing from his well.

A pretty normal situation.

That is, unless they knew what Heaven was really doing.

After his previous failure of traveling through a portal, Heaven had instead decided on a different approach. He knew that he couldn't cross through the portal, but he could definitely send items through the portal.

With that in mind, Heaven began his new passtime.

He fixed up his well, making sure the portal remained hidden and inactive. Then, he made his fishing rod, the special tool, and key, to activate the portal and fish out items from within!

It was going smoothly and it was working very well.

He sat there, with his line cast, waiting for his hook to latch itself on to anything.

On his fishing rod were many engraved inscriptions that connected itself to Heaven's wishes. In the wide existence of multiple realities, Heaven was aware of the fact that there can be various god-like existences that can create worlds like Paradise with a snap of their fingers, or destroy them with a sneeze.

With that in mind, his fishing rod would screen through millions of worlds. Seeking worlds with strengths similar to or adequate enough for Heaven to remain safe. The hook would search for treasures, latching itself to valuable items.

Then, it actually happened.

He felt his hook finally latch on to something and he began to reel in whatever it had latched itself onto. With a smile, Heaven heard a nice 'plop!' as the thing he reeled in finally revealed itself to him.

With expectant eyes, Heaven looked at the book before him.

Outer Body Training Method

Heaven looked at the book with interest, wondering what type of information it contained. He flipped to the first page, reading some basic info. It talked about Ki, how it circulates within the body and affects the mind and spirit. Followed by the Ki Center…

It was all very basic, nothing too detailed.

It left Heaven thinking, but he didn't dwell too much on it before continuing to read through the rest of the book. Then, the real fun began.

This 'Outer Body Training Method' was a way to train one's martial arts and techniques through meditation. This was the perfect book for someone like Heaven who spent his time in a meditative sleep rather than actually sleeping.

The first step, is entering a meditative step and clearing the mind. Unlike how most believe, this is easier said than done.

Depending on how talented one is, they might not even enter this state even after ten years. It was that difficult to accomplish.

However, those who manage to accomplish this step can finally begin to take the first step in training in the 'Outer Body Training Method'.

For Heaven, this was perfect.

He had always been able to clear his mind and enter into a meditative stance. As far as he could recall, he never had the difficulty to do so.

Closing his eyes, Heaven began to attempt to start the first step in the training method. Since he didn't have the Ki mentioned in the book, he used his ever growing inner force.

He followed the steps, sending his inner force to every inch of his body. The inner force spread everywhere until he felt completely covered. Then, the inner force began to 'separate' from his body, taking on his form.

Heaven could feel it.

Within his mind, he stood in a wide and empty white space. He stood there, in a spiritual form with a body made of inner force. It was a slight strange feeling he quickly got used to.

It was like he was actually using his body as he moved around. Punching and kicking, Heaven really felt like this was perfect to continue practicing all his skills.

Next, he continued to follow the steps in the book.

As it said, he had to use his memories to make opponents for himself to fight against. After all, fighting will always help one improve their skills at a faster rate.

At that thought, Heaven suddenly found himself standing before his past self.

He smirked.

Why?

Because his past self had reached the pinnacle of martial arts. Who better to train with than his past self?

Heaven clenched his fists, feeling his powerful strength that was clearly leagues above his past self's strength.

Taking the first step forward, Heaven struck forward with a mighty fist.

It headed straight to his past self's head, clearly about to hit it. His speed was faster, but before his fist could land, Heaven felt the world flip.

Bang!

He landed on the ground and before he could react, his past self punched downward by utilizing every force effectively.

Sha!

Heaven's eyes snapped open and he returned back to his body. With Zhu on his lap and Cai Ling sleeping on his shoulder.

He looked up at the sky, looking at the ceiling of the cave and imagining the bright moon in the sky. It was like he seemed to be lost in thought.

Smiling, Heaven was once again amazed.

He truly was the best.

The level of proficiency his past self had in martial arts was at the Zenith Realm, a level higher than the Grandmaster Realm.

Right now, Heaven was still at the expert realm in his martial arts. After training in the Myriad Extremities moves for so long, Heaven had finally stepped into the expert realm from the fluent realm.

Now, from the expert realm to the Zenith realm, Heaven was separated by two large realms, the Master and Grandmaster realms.

Taking a deep breath, Heaven didn't jump back right away to meditatively train.

He grabbed his fishing rod and cast the line again, hoping to fish something else again. Yet as he tried, he suddenly found his fishing rod and well no longer had inner force. It was like that one fishing chance had exhausted it.

Inspecting the fishing rod, Heaven found that it was slowly recovering inner force. Proving that he could fish again once the inner force returns. At the rate it recovered inner force, it would take at least a week before it was full once more.

Left with no other choice, Heaven returned to training with the 'Outer Body Training Method'.

He closed his eyes and immersed himself in improving his martial skills.

The night passed and Heaven finally opened his eyes.

Cai Ling was no longer with him as she practiced her Basic Fan Technique to the side. Even Zhu was off staring at the tiger drawing he had painted for it.

Standing up, Heaven began his cultivation for the day.

Moving his body and beginning his rhythmic and special breathing technique, Heaven began to feel pressure on every portion of his body.

He had clearly felt the strength of his body increasing every day. The strength of his blood and vitality grew, in turn strengthening his entire body.

It wasn't his body growing stronger, but his blood and vitality. He could feel it affect and reinvigorate his body and make it stronger. His body's strength and toughness increasing was mainly a byproduct of his blood and vitality growing stronger.

It felt like it was changing him.

He no longer felt cold, his blood was so powerful, always flowing like a river within his body. The natural body heat of his body was higher, but it didn't make him feel hot either.

When it was cold, his blood would flow with great vigor and keep him warm. When it was hot, his body heat would insulate him from the heat of the outside world.

In short, he was becoming someone amazing.

He could hear his blood, flowing within his body like a flood dragon. It would widen his blood vessels and strengthen his heart, making it pump harder with less effort.

Soon, Heaven took in a very deep breath, instantly feeling his blood begin to lessen but grow more vigorous by the second. He opened his eyes, and visibly saw as a formless string of light entered his nostrils and burnt his blood away.

It was a colorless light, mixed a little with a greyish light. He closed his eyes and followed the lights within his body. The colorless light would enter his blood stream, burning away at his blood and sending the strength and vigor to the portion that remained.

Turning his gaze, he saw the tiny portion of grey light pass through his blood, past his flesh, and enter his bones.

Feeling a small tingly sensation before it dissipated.

All of this happened whilst his body's healing ability produced more blood and continuing the vicious cycle of destruction and regeneration.

Ending his cultivation, Heaven grabbed a fasting pill and tossed it into his mouth.

Instantly, the hunger that had been developing greatly finally slowed down and was now stopping. A couple of seconds later and his hunger disappeared.

"Ha…"

Opening his eyes, Heaven let out a deep breath before suddenly smelling a bad stench.

Frowning, Heaven found a disgusting black goo seeping out of his body. Furrowing his eyebrows, Heaven realized what this was. After reading Jae-Hwa's book, he recalled that this was the impurities that leave the body.

As the impurities leave the body, the body becomes more pure.

Wiping away the goo, Heaven cleaned himself and removed the impurities and smell from his body.

Jang Jae-Hwa finished all the insight fruits after a whole night.

The insight gathered in her mind, melding together into one. She took a deep breath and led the Qi in her body to the insight, bursting it.

A flash of inspiration struck Jae-Hwa. Her mind had become unprecedentedly clear, allowing her to think rapidly.

A bright lotus bloomed in her mind, entirely made of wisdom.

Enlightenment induced by insight would create this special lotus, the Wisdom Lotus.

Whilst in this special state of enlightenment, Jae-Hwa pondered upon her cultivation technique and her skills. She could feel them improve, growing more proficient in them the longer she dwelled on them.

The Qi in the surrounding area flooded into her body and went straight into her Dantian. Years of cultivation were instantly gained in this short moment.

"Sect Master…"

Outside of Jae-Hwa's private abode, Elder Wu was sensing the situation inside.

A look of amazement was on her face.

"She achieved an enlightenment state!"

The already thin Qi within the large man-made cave that the sect Yin Desire was located in began to disappear. All of if swirled and centered around Jae-Hwa, disappearing into her body and becoming part of her cultivation.

Chaos ensued.

Every disciple within the sect began to panic.

"Where's the Qi?"

"I was close to a breakthrough!"

"Who blue-balled my Dantian?!"

The women of the sect yelled and complained, leaving their abodes. They met up with other disciples and began to discuss.

"Whats going on?"

Camille stepped out of her abode, confusion written over her face.

As the 'cute' junior of Core Disciple Li Yue, the devilish woman who drugged and captured Heaven, she was privy to a lot of information.

Which explained her current confusion. As far as she knew, there was nothing in the sect that could vanquish the Qi in the area. Especially in such grand scale.

"Are we under attack?" Camille mumbled as she looked at her fellow panicky disciples.

Her eyes roamed around until they fell on some of the sects guardians. They were calm, running around and calming the other disciples.

When she saw that, Camille knew that no enemy was attacking. That only meant that a senior was breaking through.

But which senior was strong enough to take all the Qi within the sect?

"I need to ask senior sister Li Yue," Camille jumped into action, running to the core disciple area.

She ran past many disciples, all of them panicking. But as she ran past them, the sect guardians and elders appeared to appease them.

"Senior sister! Do you know what's happening?"

Arriving at Li Yue's abode, Camille respectfully reported her appearance before cautiously entering.

Sitting down at her tea table, Li Yue was looking out her window, looking towards the area where the sect master of Yin Desires resided.

Smiling, she turned to look at Camille.

"My cute junior…"

Li Yue narrowed her eyes, a sly smile on her face.

"Why are you so worried? As long as there's nothing bad happening at the sect, you should be fine."

Camille nodded.

"Senior sister is right." The little junior paused for a second, thinking, before continuing to speak. "What do we do? Do we wait for news?"

"Mm. That's all we can do for now."

Both junior and senior sisters stayed in the silence, waiting for the news from the elders and guardians of the sect. They drank tea, waiting and sensing for any Qi in the air.

Yet it remained empty.

They felt no Qi in the air and after four whole days, they finally felt a small wisp of Qi in the air.
