Above the Great Dao

Among the spiritual energy of nature, the most common is the Sun, Moon, and Stars Three Lights, also called Three Lights Qi. Besides these, there are various natural qi.

For instance, when cultivators are in the Foundation Establishment realm, they practice the Circulation Skill. If the body has congenital deficiencies, it requires absorbing external qi to replenish the body. This refining skill often involves breathing in the qi of an ancient tree, absorbing its natural qi into the body to strengthen one's primordial qi.

Flowers, trees, birds, beasts, insects, and fish all possess natural qi. Although not as intense as the Sun, Moon, and Stars Three Lights, they should not be underestimated.

Other than that, there are earth vein qi, earth lung qi, wind qi, fire qi, thunder qi, and so forth.

However, the spiritual energy flowing from Qianyang Mountain is different from these. This kind of spiritual energy existed at the beginning of the world's formation, a remnant after the creation of heaven and earth, also known as Ancestor Qi.

A place rich in Ancestor Qi is called a Holy Land.

There are many such Holy Lands in the Earth Immortal Realm, but they are all claimed by someone.

Lady Houtu originally thought that the West Bull New Continent, located in the Dark Sea, was barren and desolate, but unexpectedly there is a Holy Land here!

The scale of Qianyang Mountain is not small, and even in the Earth Immortal Realm, it can be considered above average. If placed in other worlds, only one in a thousand would have a Holy Land, and the scale would not be so large.

More critically, Holy Lands in other worlds are usually already claimed, either by immortal Dao sects that have been entrenched for tens of thousands of years or as the territory of some immortal.

Ancestor Qi is extremely important, relating to the cultivation of the immortal path, thus immortals highly value Holy Lands.

The battle power of a Taiyi Golden Immortal is incredible and can be considered invincible in a place like the West Bull New Continent!

Every Taiyi Golden Immortal, unless possessing extraordinary talents, requires a medium Holy Land as their foundation.

However, finding such Holy Lands is not easy. Lady Houtu's residence was near Qianyang Mountain, yet she never discovered this Holy Land. Neither the True King Era nor the Great Shang Era discovered it either.

If it weren't for Chen Shi's sudden inspiration to plant a Purple Heaven Vine to find a place rich in spiritual energy, the secret of Qianyang Mountain might never have been uncovered.

In the Earth Immortal Realm, there are techniques for locating Holy Lands that produce Ancestor Qi.

Lady Houtu thought to herself, "Ancestor Qi can be cultivated to reach Taiyi Golden Immortal, which is already impressive. Of course, further transformation is better. Cultivating with Taiqing Purple Qi is better than any spiritual elixir! The understanding of the Dao with Purple Qi far surpasses other spiritual energies."

Taiqing Purple Qi is greatly beneficial to cultivators. For example, Liu Daoist, originally a mundane willow tree, has reached this point in cultivation, which is his life's ultimate achievement, with no room for further advancement. His congenital limit is here, so even immersion in Ancestor Qi has no effect.

If nourished by Purple Qi, it could compensate for his innate deficiencies. Though it cannot catch up with exotic species like the Fusang Tree or Purple Heaven Vine, the achievement can reach a higher level.

The two Purple Heaven Vines grew differently. Wu Qi's Purple Heaven Vine didn't absorb spiritual energy nor grow upwards but instead crawled along the ground. The Purple Heaven Vine here, however, absorbed spiritual energy and climbed towards the sky!

Chen Shi hastily activated the talisman to reinforce the small soil block to prevent the Purple Heaven Vine's roots from piercing through it.

In the blink of an eye, Chen Shi imprinted hundreds of talismans into the yellow earth, and at that moment, he discovered that as the Purple Heaven Vine grew taller, the small soil block also grew bigger!

The soil block, initially only five feet square, had now grown an extra foot.

Moreover, as the Purple Heaven Vine grew larger and taller, the small soil block also grew larger!

"The earth from the Daoist field truly changes endlessly," Chen Shi thought.

He had heard that if one rashly entered the Yellow Earth Slope, they would see the yellow earth like the sky, pressing down, extremely terrifying.

Chen Shi felt the yellow earth getting heavier and heavier. The extraordinary yellow earth before the temple grew larger and heavier with the Purple Heaven Vine's growth, fearing it would become unbearable when the vine grew to a hundred yards.
