Abandoned Young Miss Gu (Arch-enemies transmigrated into a novel)

Chapter 63: Chapter 63) Madam Shen's scheme.

"You-" Madam Yun couldn't believe Madam Shen's outright denial.

"Fine." Madam Yun nodded her head as she took a deep breath. "You can deny if you want, we can just go and search your private vault."

"OK. I don't have any problem with it." Madam Shen readily agreed for search. She turned to Old Madam Gu "If mother wants to search my vault, daughter-in-law have no problem with it."

Madam Yun was stunned at how easily Madam Shen agreed for the search and started to doubt about the green emerald bracelet she had seen in her room.

With her puzzled eyes when she looked at Madam Shen, Madam Shen also looked at Madam Yun and met her confused gaze with her own smug one.

Only then Madam Yun understood, she had been played.

She had fallen into Madam Shen's trap and lost so badly.

Madam Shen had played intelligent and brave Madam Lin in her palm for so many years, how could a fickle woman like Madam Yun outdo her?

Madam Shen didn't know who was tge mastermind behind the robbery of main storehouse but when fate had delivered her such a good chance how couldn't she make most of it?

Madam Shen had been living in Gu Residence for almost a decade. Her spies had been planted even in An Shui hall, finding out about Madam Yun's little schemes were nothing difficult chore for her.

The day Madam Yun had found about green emerald bracelet in her room 'accidently' and the day Madam Yun got 'chance' to steal that red coral headpiece was all arranged by her.

She was just waiting for right time to reveal it all in front of old Madam Gu and God bless that thief who gave her this chance.

Madam Shen internally laughed at Madam Yun's situation as she met her gaze.

'This b*itch has been living on my head for so long. Now she will know her place.' Madam Shen internally scoffed at Madam Yun and turned to Old Madam Gu.

"Mother, this daughter-in-law has entered Gu Residence for nearly a decade and jad never given any chance to Mother or anyone in this family to be dissatisfied with me but if second sister-in-law thinks that I've been stealing things from mother then I think I should take initiative to open my private vault so that you all can search it thoroughly and prove my innocence." Madam Shen said in her choked voice, her eyes red and filled with tears, mirroring Madam Yun's previous expression when she accused her.

Seeing her tearful face not only Gu Tianshui and old Madam Gu even Gu Tianhao felt sorry for her.

He had been living with Madam for five years; more than two years of their secret affair and two and half year of marriage.

In this period, he had seen how she acts innocently even when was planning someone's death.

For Gu Tianhao, Madam Yun's framing Madam Shen was not a big deal. She can lie so smoothly, even emperor couldn't catch her.

But what he didn't know was, the woman he thought could fool even the emperor had fallen into a trap set by gentle looking Madam Shen.

Looking at Madam Shen's tearful and swollen eyes old Madam Gu felt pity and waved her hand.

"Forget it."

Madam Yun gnashed her teeth while Madam Shen flashed a victorious grin towards Madam Yun at old Madam Gu's words but only for a moment because at the next second old Madam Gu suddenly stood up.

"I know that my eldest daughter-in-law has been staying with us for nearly a decade and I should believe her, but-" Old Madam Gu paused as looked between Madam Shen and Madam Yun and continued "Since my second daughter-in-law had accused you, I don't want others to talk about how biased I'm towards my eldest daughter-in-law and how I didn't even dare to do a search to prove if my second daughter-in-law is saying truth or just being petty and narrowed minded and trying to frame her eldest sister-in-law to get back at her. I hope, you won't resent me for this, my eldest daughter-in-law?" Old Madam Gu narrowed her eyes at Madam Shen as addressed her in her last sentence as 'my eldest daughter-in-law'.

As Madam Shen met old Madam Gu's narrowed eyes, even though she knew, she had made all preparations for this day, she couldn't help but treble.

Seeing her slightly trembling body, Madam Yun internally scoffed at her.

'So, everything was just bluff till now? was she just acting brave? Hmph. Now everyone see with their eyes open how innocent their darling Madam Shen is.' Madam Yun sneered to herself.

"Sure mother." Madam Shen lowered her head as she accepted old Madam Gu's arrangements.

Soon all members of Gu family headed towards Madam Shen's courtyard and a few trusted servants and nanny followed their masters from behind.

As they all headed towards Madam Shen's Yuansong courtyard, a three foot shadow swiftly sneaked away from An Shui hall and without anyone noticing entered Water Pavilion.

Inside Water Pavilion;

Little Gu Yanyan was sitting on her wooden chair and a rice paper was spread in front of her as she leaned at her study table and very diligently practiced calligraphy.

Initially when she wanted to practice calligraphy, Nanny Jin refused her to bring any paper or ink but who was Gu Yanyan?

Hmph.

The same night nanny Jin was beaten black and blue.

Next Morning nanny Jin obediently visited Gu Yanyan with a sack of white rice papers and some cheap ink and a decent brush.

"Young miss, I'm old and muddle headed, doesn't know how to differentiate between what to say and what not to. I hope you won't take it against me." Nanny Jin crying and sobbing kneeled as she offered four treasures of study in front of Gu Yanyan.

"You know how precarious your situation is inside the Gu residence, I hope you won't mind these cheap rice paper and ink. You can practice with it for now. Once I find chance I'll brought some good stuffs for you."
