Bai Ruozhu didn't dare tell her parents about this, fearing they would worry about Bai Zebo to the point of losing their appetite and not sleeping well. Bai Ruozhu's expression changed slightly, then she smiled, "Mother, don't say you're old, I'm going to have a little brother or sister soon."

"Ah?" Lin Ping'er didn't quite catch on, but Bai Yihong's eyes brightened as he rushed over, "Ruozhu, say it clearly, your mother is expecting?"

Bai Ruozhu smiled and nodded, "Yes, mother has a joyous pulse!"

Bai Yihong's face lit up with joy, "This is wonderful!"

Lin Ping'er only then realized, blushing furiously. She raised her hand to hit Bai Yihong, angrily saying, "Why shout such nonsense, the children are all grown up, aren't you embarrassed?"

Bai Yihong grinned foolishly with his white teeth showing, "I'm going to be a father again, I'm really happy."

Bai Zehao and Bai Zepei hurriedly helped Lin Ping'er inside to sit, with Bai Yihong pushing Bai Zehao aside and saying with a silly grin, "Let me help, let me help, be careful."

Wan Caiyue smiled and explained, "I told her brother-in-law had taken a royal assignment and needed to avoid her. After all, Xue County King's rebellion has made the emperor wary of her. If anything happens, the emperor could have her apprehended for questioning."

She glanced at Bai Zehao, "My husband was right; she doesn't truly want to die. As soon as she heard this, she got scared and didn't dare utter another word."
