A Witch's Legacy

Chapter 42: Chapter 42

"LET ME OUT YOU MOTHER FUCKERS" Seraiya yelled from inside a white padded room.

"How do we get her back to normal?" daemon asked simply as they stood outside the padded room. "I don't know," Piper said as she listened to her daughter screaming.

Piper put her hand on the door and leaned her head against it gently. "She was good" Piper whispered. "from her first breath… no matter what hurt her, no matter what the world did to her… she fought to be good" she added. "And yet this thing…." Piper hesitated for a moment "Controls her" she added.

"Let me go in there," Amani said suddenly appearing behind daemon and piper. Piper and daemon turned to her. "No way it's too dangerous," Piper told her. "Then let us go in together," Zack said walking up behind Amani. "We know her better than anyone maybe we can get to the part of her the hive buried," Zack said.

Piper looked at Daemon before looking back at Amani and Zack. "Fine but if she tries to hurt either of you I want you both out of there, understood," Piper told them. "Understood" Zack and Amani said at the same time.

Daemon Unlocked the door and slowly opened it for the two to go inside. As soon as Amani and Zack entered the door shut behind them automatically locking them in. Seraiya sat alone in the far corner of the room, with a chain attached to her ankle. She looked up at them and smiled. Her pale face as well as the bags under her eyes made her look almost creepy.

"Finally come to see me?" Seraiya asked "Rai… I know you can fight it off," said Amani as she knelt on the ground. "I know your in there" she added. "Why can't you understand?" Seraiya asked. "I want to be this way," she told her. "I want to be with Alvera I want to follow her and help her," she told Amani. "If you really loved me you'd understand that," Seraiya said.

"If any of this was actually your choice I would" Amani replied. "But it's not," she told her. "Look at you seraiya, you're as white as a ghost, they took your blood, your power… if it takes anymore from you you'll die," Amani said. "THEN LET ME DIE!" Seraiya yelled. "Let me die" she repeated.

"You know we'd never let you die" Zach chimed in. "Why not?" She asked him standing up and walking as far as her chain would let her. "My whole life has been one trauma after another trauma," she told them. "When I'm with The hive when I'm with Alvera all of that fades away," Seraiya told them.

"Why can't any of you understand, I am happy," she told them. Amani stepped closer to Seraiya. "Because this happiness isn't real," she said as she put her hand on Seraiyas cheek.

"You're burning up," Amani said, a look of concern appearing on her face. "I'm fine," Seraiya told her. "But you're not fine," Amani said. "Look at what all of this has done to you" she added. "Get out," Seraiya said. "Rai" Amani said taking a step forward. "I SAID GET OUT, BOTH OF YOU JUST GET OUT" Seraiya yelled.

Suddenly the door opened. "Let's go," Piper said avoiding eye contact with Seraiya. "Can't even look your daughter in the eyes now huh Mom?" Seraiya said as they left the room and Piper closed the door.

"She's completely out of it," Zach said looking back at the door. "How could she not be when she's this weak" Daemon said looking at Zach.

Seraiya sat back down in the corner and closed her eyes. "Why haven't you come for me, Alvera?" She asked in a whisper. "I have" Alvera's voice echoed through the room. Seraiya stood up once again. "Where are you?" She asked quietly.

Suddenly. Black dust appeared in front of Seraiya and formed into the shape of a woman. "You came," Seraiya said with a smile as Alvera stood in front of her with a large jar. "I always do," said Alvera.

"I'm afraid the only way for you to escape the shackles of your family and return to me is if I return your powers to you temporarily," Alvera told her. "Are you sure you can do that I know how much you need them" Seraiya said concerned.

Alvera placed her hand on seraiyas cheek. "If I wish for you to return to my side I have no other choice," Alvera told her before putting her hand that was on Seraiyas cheek onto the lid of the jar. "Once you return to me we will start over, and this time we won't allow anyone to get in our way," Alvera said with a serious yet calm expression.

Seraiya gave Alvera a slight nod. Alvera then twisted the lid of the jar and pulled it off. Golden energy began to fly around the small padded room and circled Seraiya before quickly entering her again.

Seraiya took in a deep breath. Struggling to get used to the power that had returned to her. After a moment she let out a calm breath. By this point, Alvera vanished. "I'm coming," Seraiya said when suddenly the door to the padded room blew up.

The energy pushes those on the other side of the door away from it. Seraiya slowly stepped out of the room the now broken chain still on her ankle.

Seraiya knelt on the ground and grabbed what was left of the chain. As she held it it began to melt in her hand. When it was completely off her she stood up and walked away. Leaving the pack house without anyone noticing and entering the woods.

Amani and Zack stood up. Dust covered them as well as a few scrapes but the two remained fine. "Are you alright?" They said at the same time that Amani helped up Piper and Zack helped up Daemon. "We have to catch Seraiya," daemon said.

As Seraiya continued to walk in the woods she heard a sudden noise behind her. "Stop right there Seraiya Mason," a male voice said from behind her. Seraiya stopped and turned. "You never can just leave me alone can you Damien?" She replied slightly annoyed.
