Chapter 19: Chapter 19
"What do you mean you don't know what's wrong with her!" Piper snapped at the doctor. "It's as I said, we have run every test, done every scan we've even done a dozen healing spells" the doctor told her. "We have done everything we can and nothing is working," the doctor said.
"I'm beginning to wonder whether her problem is less physical and more... mental" the doctor added. "Are you saying that you think there's something wrong with my daughter's mind and not her body?" Piper asked to confirm. "Yes," the doctor replied.
Piper shook her head and turned away. Daemon was silent as Piper turned back to the doctor. "She was perfectly fine, she was happy and normal," Piper said. "If she had a problem with her mind she wouldn't be coughing up blood. Whatever is wrong with her is physical," Piper told the doctor. "It is your job to find out what's wrong with her," Damon finally said.
"DO YOUR DAMN JOB!" he snapped. "I'm afraid there is nothing more I can do," the doctor told them. Before walking away. "I don't get it," Piper said. "S-she was fine..." she added looking at daemon. "She had no fever... no cough... she... she was fine and now...." piper didn't want to finish that sentence. She didn't want to say it out loud.
A familiar feeling filled her gut as she remembered the day Saraiya and Damien were born. There was no way Seraiya would die. Why would the gods allow her birth if she was only meant to die.
"Piper," Sierra said, walking up and hugging her. "What are you doing here?" Piper asked as Sierra released her from the hug. "My god daughter is in the hospital, I'd obviously come to see how you're doing" Sierra replied. "They don't know what's wrong with her," Piper said. "I think that explains why they came here as well then..." Sierra said.
"Who's they?" Piper asked. "I brought a witch that specializes in healing" Kyra said as she walked toward them with Sasha as well as a man she had never seen before. "Who is this?" Piper asked. "My name is Francis" the man said simply. "The doctor said they already tried healing magic" piper said.
"My healing, is far different compared to their simple spells" Francis said. "May I try?" He asked. Piper gave a nod and they all went into the room. Sitting next to the bed where Seraiya was sleeping was Damien. "Damien will you wait outside with your father" piper told him. "I don't want to" Damien said.
"Please, Damien... wait outside" Piper said again. Damien slowly stood up from the chair he sat in and walked over to daemon, who picked him up and carried him outside.
"Please go ahead" piper told him. Kyra stood near piper in an attempt to comfort her as Francis walked over to Suraiya's bedside. "শিশুটিকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে সুস্থ করুন কি ভুল আমাকে বলুন যাতে আমি তাকে সাহায্য করতে পারি" Francis said as he grabbed Suraiya's hand. It was a language piper had never heard before. A language she didn't even knew existed.
Francis's eyes turned white as he repeated the same phrase. "শিশুটিকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে সুস্থ করুন কি ভুল আমাকে বলুন যাতে আমি তাকে সাহায্য করতে পারি" he said over and over again.
Suddenly Sasha's eyes turned completely black as her face shot up to the direction of the ceiling. Piper and Kyra turned in shock. "What's happening?" Piper asked, confused as she stared at Sasha. "She's having a vision," Kyra whispered.
"Why do I have a feeling this vision has something to do with Seraiya?" Piper asked, turning to Kyra. "It probably does" Kyra replied as she continued to stare at Sasha with a horrified look. It was as if she knew whatever vision Sasha was having at this moment wasn't even close to good.
"a power so untamed that the earth shakes" sasha Suddenly said.
"as lava rains from the skies above and lakes and rivers flood" Sasha added her eyes still black.
"Only one was meant to be born to restore balance and now the scale is even more uneven," she continued. "What is she talking about?" Piper asked, looking back and forth between Kyra and sasha. "what on earth does she mean?" Piper continued to ask.
Kyra had an inkling of what it meant. A feeling. But she didn't want to tell piper. "I don't know" was the only thing Kyra said. "It didn't work" Francis suddenly said as he released Seraiya's hand and stepped away from her. "What do you mean it didn't work?" Piper asked turning to him. "I mean magic can not heal this child" he told her. "I don't believe anything can" he added.
"He's right," Sasha said, finally coming back to reality. "No... no she cant die!" Piper said, turning and snapping at sasha. "I'm sorry, Piper," Sasha said. The world can't handle this much power" Sasha told her.
"Is she really that strong?" Piper asked. "Seraiya alone has the power to shake the very earth we stand on" sasha told her. "The twins have equal power separately... yes" sasha said before a moment of hesitation. "But together they have enough power to end the world" she'd told piper.
"It'll start with earthquakes" Kyra interrupted. "Then I assume volcanoes will erupt and not only will the oceans flood but rivers and lakes as well," Kyra explained. "So how do we stop that?" Piper asked. "The universe already is" Kyra told her. "What... what do you mean?" Piper asked.
"Piper... I think the reason why seraiya wasn't in any... visions or prophecies is because... she wasn't meant to be" sasha said. "No..." piper said shaking her head. "Piper listen.." Kyra said. "No," Piper said, turning to her unconscious daughter. "I won't let her die," Piper said, staring at Saraiya. "Not after all I did to save her" she whispered.
"She is the one the gods have chosen, Piper," Kyra said. "There is a reason why...." "THERE IS NO REASON FOR THEM TO KILL EITHER OF MY CHILDREN!" Piper yelled, turning to them. "And I won't allow it," Piper said in a dark tone. "Piper, why can't you understand this is the way things have to be?" Sasha said. "THEN WHY LET ME HAVE HER AT ALL" Piper yelled "why let me raise her... love her?" Piper asked.
"I don't know," Kyra said. "I'm so sorry Piper," Sasha said. "But... there was only ever meant to be one..." Sasha said.
