A Villainous Aristocrat’s Pursuit of Peace ~ Reincarnated as the Most Talented Mage in History, I’ll Achieve Supremacy in order to live a peaceful life with My Maid~

Chapter 4

The mana within me stirs in response to Mea’s magic, setting it into motion. With my intent as the guide, it flows freely as though I’ve wielded it since birth.

Ah, I see… So, this is what magic feels like… Strangely, I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it’s an incredibly pleasant sensation. It’s as if something that was pent up within me has been released, leaving behind a refreshing exhilaration. It’s as though I could accomplish anything like this.

I wonder if it’s possible to release this energy outside of my body?

As an experiment, I gather a fraction of my current manipulable mana, roughly around 1% of my total magical power, into my palm. Just as anticipated, my extraordinary talent isn’t in vain; I effortlessly concentrate the energy.

Now, the final step is to release it as a form of magic.

“In my hand, a magical projectile — [Magic Bullet]!”

I cast the [Magic Bullet] spell, an unattributed magic that anyone can utilize, directed at a towering tree that seems to be an ideal target. A translucent, bullet-like orb shoots forth at a speed nearly imperceptible to the naked eye.

And indeed, it punctures the large tree, creating a hole the size of a clenched fist.

I turn my head with a mechanical motion, almost like a rusted robot, and address Mea, who remains speechless.

“…I’m not sure what to do…”

My eyes are likely brimming with tears by now. After all, my vision has grown somewhat blurred.

“…Jin-sama, may I inquire about something?”

“…Of course, please feel free to ask.”

“…Is today your first time using magic?”

“Indeed. In fact, I only began sensing magic a short while ago.”

My eyes, brimming with tears, meet Mea’s gaze, and she lets out a deep sigh while gently touching her forehead.

Her presence is truly angelic.

From this day forward, I’ll dub Mea’s sighs as “Breath of the Angelic Sigh,” a name that befits her ethereal essence.

“Jin-sama… for now, I would advise refraining from employing magic. I will take care of the tree using my own magic. Please find a place to sit.”

“Alright, my apologies.”

I feel my shoulders droop, realizing that I’ve unintentionally added to Mea’s workload. Yet, simultaneously, a sense of excitement coursed through me.

Unbelievable… I can wield magic.

It’s my first experience with magic, but thanks to my innate talent, it proves to be less challenging than I imagined.

Honestly, if I were born into the esteemed Magic Diadem family, renowned for their magical prowess, I’d undoubtedly be cherished by my family. After all, my latent magical potential is undoubtedly the finest in the world.

As I mull over these thoughts, I practice extending my mana throughout every inch of my being. Mea, who had sealed the tree’s wound, returns to my side.

“I’ve fixed it. And, I would like Jin-sama to use the magical training facility from now on. What do you think?”

“Alright, let’s go right now. I shouldn’t break anything else! Let’s go!”

Truthfully, I can’t disregard Mea’s perspective. It’s almost akin to a master and their pet… although, strangely, it doesn’t seem all that bad. It’s a thought I’d want to punch myself for, even though I wouldn’t actually do it since it would hurt.

Actually, why does the esteemed Divinesword family, renowned for their swordsmanship, possess a magical training facility? Even if no one utilizes it.

Well, considering my standpoint, it’s solely advantageous for me, so I don’t particularly mind.

The magical training facility appears to be conveniently located not far from the courtyard. I reached it in under five minutes by foot.

During my walk, I overheard servants gossiping, wondering, “What’s a dropout doing at the magical facility?” Nonetheless, their words don’t concern me.

Well, those comments are essentially true, so one could say I’ve accepted my situation.

Mea, however, seems perturbed by this and questions me with a furrowed brow.

“Shall I dismiss the servants who have been speaking ill of Jin-sama?”

“Let it go… If they dare to openly insult me, then by all means, dismiss them.”

“…Understood.”

In merely five minutes, these events unfolded, and I’m beginning to feel like a silent savior in the eyes of the servants.

After all, I managed to avert a crisis of dismissals. Although, I can’t deny I contributed to the circumstances.

“Here, you’re free to use this area as you see fit.”

Wonderful, now that I have the blessing of the Archangel Mea, let’s explore and experiment with various possibilities.

Let’s start by attempting introductory magic of different elements.

Once again, I center my focus and manipulate my magic.

I vaguely remember the sensation from employing magic previously.

Okay… by envisioning the feeling I encountered in games…

“In my hand, flames — [Kindle Flame]!”

Upon uttering the incantation, success graces my efforts.

Flames flickered within the cup of my hand.

If it’s this straightforward, perhaps I can wield a different form of magic with my opposite hand.

This time, I imagine the sensation of water slipping from my fingers…

“In my hand, water — [Aqua Summon]!”

Once more, my attempt succeeded easily.

True to my visualization, droplets of water drip from my open palm.

…This is so uncomplicated that I’m becoming increasingly curious about experimenting with other types of magic.

Riding on a wave of enthusiasm, I continue practicing various magic until my mana is depleted.

Afterward, I was quite exhausted.
