Chapter 32
[Hell Creation]
It was a transcendent magic surpassing all others, combining space, time, gravity, fire, water, earth, wind, light, and darkness. It was the most powerful magic that humanity could wield, transcending even the highest-tier spells.
Seven years ago, I had brought that strange monster into this dimension, creating a modified version of super-magic. At that time, I could only activate time and space, but over these seven years, I had managed to complete it.
The fundamental structure remained the same as before, so in their world, they would be making a fuss about the sudden disappearance of the three of us. However, it was the only way to prevent interference from the female soldier and others who might be even stronger.
The visual appearance of this world resembled everyone’s idea of hell. Of course, there were no Cerberus or demons here.
“What… what is this place?”
“I-it’s unbearably hot…”
The two, released from [Water Chains], mumbled in bewilderment. I addressed them in a casual tone.
“Welcome, both of you. This is my world—Hell. How do you like it? Quite impressive, isn’t it?”
“Don’t toy with us! Get me out of here now!”
“Yes!!”
“Alright, alright, I’ll get you out, but listen to me for a moment.”
I raised a single finger.
“There’s only one condition for getting out of here: defeat me. You can do anything you want. If you can beat me, that is.”
As I said this, the two of them turned pale and then flushed with anger, shouting:
“That’s impossible, obviously!”
“Exactly!! Please return us right now!”
Raising my hand towards the sky, the heavens darkened instantly, accompanied by a deafening roar. Lightning struck the ground near the two of them, shattering it.
“Wha—!?”
“N-noooo!!”
“You don’t have a choice. Fight or die here. Those are your only options. If you won’t come, then I will.”
I transformed the [Staff of Calamity] from a ring back into a staff and began chanting a spell.
“—[Hellfire of Damnation]!”
In that instant, blue flames erupted from the ground, converging into multiple clusters and shooting directly towards the two of them. Its power was easily top-tier and would leave no trace of them if it hit.
Realizing this immediately, Eugene used his most powerful magic.
“Darn it—[Radiant Blade of Brilliance]!”
With the speed of light, he swung a shining sword, generating slashes that tore through dozens of flames. This was Eugene’s ace in the hole, a technique that had come to his rescue countless times in the game. Even in reality, it was clear that this technique was extraordinarily powerful, but… it wasn’t quite enough of a threat.
On the other hand, Yuffie was a bit slow to react—
“Gyaahhhhhhhhh!”
Without a chance to resist, she was enveloped in the blue flames, screaming. However, her cries ceased almost immediately, and the blue flames disappeared.
The blue flames had the ability to burn the target until death, and once those flames disappeared—
“Yuffie-senpaii!”
Eugene rushed toward Yuffie, but there was no response from her. In fact, her body disintegrated into ash, unable to maintain its original form. Watching this, I muttered with a hint of disappointment.
“Oh well, she’s already dead… Well, that’s what you get for being a villainess.”
“Don’t jest! You just killed someone! How can you remain so calm!?”
Eugene, furious, swung his sword at me. I activated [Body Enhancement] and easily dodged his slow attack, then kicked him from behind.
“Ugh!”
“In the first place, weren’t you planning to kill me in this duel? So, maybe you shouldn’t be talking about others? Besides… [Full Revival].”
I cast a spell, and a magic circle appeared where Yuffie had been a moment ago, restoring her to her state before she was killed. As Yuffie realized her body had returned—
She screamed and cried as if driven insane. She clawed at her own body until it bled, and then her magical power went haywire, causing an explosion. Eugene, witnessing this, had a terrified expression on his face.
“W-What’s happening…?”
“No, she’s just recalling the memories of her own death, experiencing a flashback,” I replied.
Normally, when someone dies, they lose all their memories. However, my revival spell preserved the memories up until the moment of death. So, in her case, she was remembering her traumatic death experience, which could be quite unsettling.
Seeing Yuffie completely shattered, I applied the [Full Revival] loop casually. Then, I turned my attention to Eugene.
“Of course, I won’t kill you. After all, I want you to work hard on the future story,” I told him.
“Eh…?”
My words froze Eugene in his tracks.
And on his face, an expression that seemed to say, “It can’t be true… I don’t want to believe it,” appeared as if he were trying to escape reality.
“N-No, it’s a lie… There can’t be another reincarnated person, right?”
“Why is that so hard to believe? It’s only natural for there to be others, considering that you’re one too,” I replied.
He wore a look of despair on his face, but then his face turned bright red, and…
“D-Don’t mess with me! Don’t mess with me! Don’t mess with me! Don’t mess with meeee! I’m special! I’m the protagonist! I—”
“—[Hellstorm Hurricane].”
A black storm enveloped Eugene.
“Ahhhhhh!?”
“Shut up. Whether you’re special or not doesn’t matter. I just wanted to destroy you for trying to harm Mea… That’s all,” I said.
As the black storm subsided, Eugene was left battered and thrown to the ground.
“N-No… No way…”
“—[Hellish Water Dragon] [Cataclysm]—Shall we continue?” I said.
“W-Wait—”
The ground cracked open, and a massive water dragon emerged from it, swallowing Eugene.
Ten minutes after the three disappeared, the dueling arena remained eerily quiet. In the midst of this silence, a teleportation gate suddenly appeared in the center of the stage.
And from it emerged…
“Phew… My magic is almost depleted. Hey, hurry up and dispose of the trash.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
“…………”
It was the same old Jin, and Eugene, who had been crying and apologizing incessantly, and Yuffie, who had become a complete wreck, not speaking or moving anymore.
