A Typical Regressor Story

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The End of Times

"Shit, it's probably our...end."

I solemnly muttered, gazing at the countless ferocious monsters looking at us as they bare their bloody rotten fangs and vicious stares toward us-- drooling with every bit of their sticky dark red blood-like flowing saliva from their disgusting mouth.

As if they can't wait to violently tear us all up and then, eat us all greedily, piece by piece, like some deer stuck in a small forest of some sort and they're hunted by a pack of lions-- but in this case? It's an endless number of lions, and we're the prey of this hunt, we are the only one left.

And they can kill us-- How? due to their humongous size of numbers, it's fucking endless as I can say that we're almost like those tiny little stars in the night sky sparkling against the wide gloomy universe, a good comparison as we're royally fucked right now.

But for now, let's name these countless monsters that we have to fight to survive;

The bone-chilling monstrosities that surrounded us were known as Chaos Corpses-- disgusting incarnations of rotting flesh, born from the corpses of dead people from various races that died in the war with their flesh filled with disgusting maggots caused by the Corruption of Chaos.

Their large detached dark muscles in the body with rotting skeleton that you can already see gives them this zombified look, and due to the falling pieces of their muscles and flesh in their body-- it tells you what the hell is even that, you will immediately think that they come and raised from the death itself. A cruel fate for those people, that their broken carcasses will eventually become a way to reap the life of someone like them too, a once living healthy person.

The Chaos, due to exposure, managed to make these lifeless dead bodies of people move to a thing like those in the movies with one sole purpose, it was to reap the life of the living and kill people mercilessly regardless of reason and other subjectivities.

... Just like those fucking zombies in the movies!

Also, these horrendous things have the disgusting ability to make their dark red blood dripping from their bone marrow kill all types of people from different races, and it really shocked me when I first learned about it, I even feared these things as they have the ability known as Chaos Poisoning-- a poison that can penetrate your whole body and melt the hell out of you from your insides, leading to your untimely and excruciating death-- it's considered as one of the most painful ways to die in this universe.

That is, if they manage somehow to wound you deeply with their poisonous blood due to the many ways to counter it.

But being wounded by it will basically guarantee you a painful excruciating death.

However, some of the factors that can affect your impending death was how long the chaos corpse that wound you is exposed to Death and Chaos itself.

... If you are somehow, a super lucky person. You can be saved through a healing of a strong archpriest with a lot of light magic, and there's a lot of countermeasure for these putrid things such as; coating your body with refined mana energy, a elven healing salve known as Altreze which is a specialized drug from the elves to counter the poison of these monsters and many more things to counter the poison of these fucking things.

However, as I looked over and inspected these things once again... I immediately noticed something a different type of monster, aside from the Chaos Corpses that I've seen earlier.

"Goddamnit, What a really good fucking day it is! It's the fucking Slime of the Death!", the man that was positioned behind me said in an annoyed manner-- He was once known as the Mightest Shield by the Orcs, a title given to the strongest warrior of the Orc Race, as he despairingly growls when he looked over at the large amount of monsters that we have to fight-- especially these types of monsters that was difficult to deal with in the first place, that's alongside with the practical endless numbers of them compared to just the ten of us in this destroyed place.

Although this monster was similar to simple slime, it's jet black jelly-like goo monster will immediately tells you that it's not a simple slime, it's ability was to stretch it's elastic body coupled with the Chaos Poisoning, and you're fucked-- and it eats people up inside of its own body when it melts these unfortunate people who got caught with in their body all throughout, from the muscles, tissues and bones of that person, and all other parts of the body, until nothing was left behind aside by that person-- from being a waste to these monsters, even their wish and all emotions will be broken down to amino acids or the energy of this horrific monsters when they are eaten by these horrific monstrosities.

It's one of the scariest monsters that I have dealt with, even before when I started my first journey as an explorer of the universe.

And lastly, looking over at the far dark horizon of this barren planet-- I saw something, a completely enormous, disgusting monster that was galloping and thumping in the ground-- as if it's waiting for the fight to start with in this fallen lifeless world.

A monstrosity nicknamed before in the Akashic Records as Tentacles from Hell, as it will literally give you hell if you fight these vicious things, it's ability was to immediately kill you when it managed to hold you, and it will absorb all of the energy inside your body including your life force, leading to a husk of yourself and eventual death.

... That is, if they manage to get a hold of your frail self, which signifies your doom.

Therefore, all of these monsters that we will have to deal with were dangerous in itself, and we have to be careful when we are fighting them.

That's not even considering the various monsters outside of this planet and the sheer size of their fucking numbers.

However, I calmed myself down to these thoughts looking over to observe if I missed something, knowing that information was important in this life-and death battle, as gripping coldness suddenly emerged in me when I noticed something...

... These fucking things looked like they have a formation... like us.

Which is the Chaos Corpses looked like the foot soldiers of the War in this chaos formation, and the slimes.... as if they are being the damage or the attacker of the group of monstrosities.

Shiittt!!

"Fuck! There's someone ordering them!"

As I said to my team, looking at the monsters, I noticed a small unknown monster-- with it height just like the size of a child, and its appearance was being hidden due to a dark cloak, typically for mages if they want to hide from something-- yet, I felt this uncertainty, I fear this monster because I can't feel something from this thing.

"It's strange... I can't feel anything towards this monster."

It's a shadow-like entity that even I, one of the most knowledgeable people regarding the different monsters in this universe didn't know any information about this monster that was hidden by a cloak before us, but I felt this bad premonition about this monster, as I saw him, looking at us in mockingly stare.

But as I squinted my eyes again, he was still there-- looking at us with his dark red blood eyes, and we managed to make contact through our eyes as he just slightly smiled against me.

I can't tell anything this monster have to offer or what it is all about, how strong it is or if it's connected to the impending death of this universe.

As I tried to remember the appearance of that monster that I have to deal with later on.

That is, if we managed to survive with these endless amount of monsters, but this huge uncertainty and fear towards this monster and its unknown strength gives me this bad premonition of what was about to happen.

It sure is a strange phenomenon as I never felt like this unknown dreadful gut feeling before.

Nonetheless, I put it at the back of my mind for the time being as our death fight was about to start-- and reminiscing about the things that these monsters can do aside from that unknown one will benefit me in this battle, as I can look for the things that I have to avoid and take advantage of.

I calmed down myself again and took my deepest breath looking at these horrible creatures-- as there's a possibility that this battle... may be my last in this damn universe.

"Shit, there's so many of these monsters."

A tired yet, arrogant strong voice suddenly emerged in this place that we protected and stayed in, as I looked over to the one where that one familiar voice appeared.

"We will have to face these endless amount monsters before we can even fight that shadow monster, so just focus for now in these monsters, we don't have a choice right now, Keizen." He said, commandingly to us, especially me, as I gazed calmly again to his tired face, and then, looked over at the countless array of monsters in these barren planets again.

The man talking to me was known as The Saviour of the Races, the one who possessed the power to extinguish chaos and its evil countless forces, or basically, The Hero.

His shining armor known as Achilles, engraved with the highest possible defense power in this universe was made by the best dwarfs in the World of Dwarvendelf. As they used a taboo magic creation and their life force and energy to make this armor-- hoping that he will save the universe from despair of death and it's immenent destruction.

The legendary sword known as the Excalibur, given by the Lady of the Lake, was known as the strongest sword in the Upper World and even in this universe-- enchanted with power of Indestructibility and the power to cut everything in the universe. It can also cut concepts, although an albeit piece of it.

Despite that, even him probably knows that there's a possibility that this might be our last battle, especially through the tense expression seen on his worn-out face, and the way he gripped his sword... It's fucking shaking, telling us that he's completely nervous about this impending outcome of our life-and-death battle.

Because on estimation, I can tell that these horrifying monsters that we have to deal with in this planet to survive should be around hundred millions, and probably even billions.

And they share a sole purpose in this fight... the will to kill and devour us all in this gloomy place of a once known place.

When I gazed back at the people that I have survived with all this time, some have those same tense expressions the same with the Hero while some are shakingly or steadily gripping their weapons. It's different types of emotions appearing due to an upcoming despairingly battle.

It's just the fucking ten of us against the literal world as we are literally the last members of our various race.

And it's deeply tragic that we lost the war before it even started due to many conflicts we had, and it's practically too late when we decided to cooperate with each other anyway, it's a glaringly losing battle for this universe.

"Hmmm." I sighed deeply at this deep realization that if we just...

This place we hold onto was known before as the Last Bastion of Universe-- where humans and many races resided and fought these monsters with all they got due to the following reason; to protect their races, their own history, to not be forgotten and lastly, to protect our universe which we resided in, to summarized that, it's to survive regardless of the various reasons.

Right now, it's just a husk of its former glory-- A gloomy and destroyed place of buildings and different races lying lifeless in the ground. And it's a personified gravesite for us, knowing that countless people of different races died in this place, hoping to protect it from the chaos.

Seeing my tense expression, Jessica of the High Elves, and my loving wife... said to me with her beautiful pleasant almost ready eyed smile, "It probably means our death right?"

"But we will not give up just like that to be killed like defenseless cattle you know? We should fight until our last breath, okay? My love?", She said as she smiles softly to me, but knowing her deep inside, she's probably scared shitless at the fact that there's a high probability that we will probably die in this fight and there's only a slim chance to survive in this unwinnable battle.

"I love you... my dear wife." I just said that simply as I kissed her deeply in her tender lips, knowing that this kiss will probably our very last in this universe.

And I want to savour it with her within every bit of the second at its highest glory, knowing that I can never do this again if we started to fight the monsters.

She kissed me back deeply too, in this barren place of a once known beautiful world as we savour this unbending love at the best of times, as my heart flutters in bittersweet happiness in this precious time of love and joy.

When suddenly...

"Skritttttchhhhhh"

"Grrrrrrrrrrr"

"Woooooarrrrr"

Loud shrieking noises immediately come towards us from every direction of these vicious monsters.

And immediately, helplessness engulfs us, knowing that these monsters will now start attacking us with their endless horde and all of their might to kill us one by one.

"Let's do this... my love." As I looked at her, smiling with the hope of a happy ending in this soon-to-be death fight.

As I immediately draw my beloved spear, Longinus, named after the Divine Spear of Einhenjar which was named as the Spear of Destiny, it has the power to change the destiny and fate of the person who holds it.

I solemnly sighed and prepared myself in this impending death fight between us and these monsters that dictates the future of this universe and-- my last fight in this reality.

Holding my spear, I looked again for the last final time at the countless monsters and despite the initial panic in myself.

And I readied myself for the impending fight that will dictate if we live, or die in this deadly battle.
