"I-I'm ali-ve?" muttered Raynare in surprise when she opened her eyes to see that her head was still intact. The slash that was delivered at her, was aimed at her cheek not the neck. She looked up at Rei, who was wiping the blood off his sword. "Why didn't you kill me?"
"It's because you're a useful individual to me, unlike the ones that are dead over there" said Rei pointing at the dead male fallen angel and exorcist. His gaze then landed on duo fallen angels, who shivered in making eye contact with him, "Oh, those two are useful as well"
Rei was enjoying every bit of it. The powerful fallen angels who always looked down at the humans were now looked down by a human in both sense. Even though he disliked them for their attitudes and cruelty, but he knew that they were essential for the plan that he had in mind. Soon they will be serving him, that's what he was aiming at and also getting closer to a certain perverted Fallen angel leader, who had a major role in his life ahead.
"Are you thinking of using us as your sex slaves?" said Raynare with a glare although it was no where threatening to Rei. She was just few steps away from approaching the death's door. The very thought of getting used by a human for that stuff, disgusted her.
He retracted back the sword and it vanished under the gaze of everyone. Looking down at the defenseless fallen angel, he got down to her level and grabbed her by face, which caused her to cower in fear from thinking what he was about to do next with her. Even Kalwarner and Mittelt were looking at this whole situation in fear, since it was their turn after Raynare. So what happens next with her, will befall upon them as well.
"You have a beautiful body, no doubt" said Rei looking in her eyes with his face a bit closer to hers. She gritted her teeth from getting toyed by him but what he said next, caused her eyes to widen in shock, "But I have no interest in stooping so low by forcing my way to a female, even if she is evil and despicable"
He released her from his grip and let her face fall back to the ground. Extending his arm out, he touched her side of head with his finger to release a small electric shock, which went unnoticed by the fallen angels around him. Getting up from the ground, he turned around to leave, but stopped in front of the other two fallen angels who were looking at him with fear in their eyes.
Picking out something from his pocket, he dropped it in front of them and said, "These are elf dust, rub it on each other's back to heal yourself. I don't know if it will be able to grow your wings back, but it will be able to release you from all this pain. And don't try to thank me"
It might seems as if he was doing a stupid thing to leave them alive, and even giving them healing stuff. But Rei had a vision which was far beyond and these actions will fall into place, once he exits this place. For him, everything went all according to the plan and not killing them was the essential part of it. The final nail in the coffin was the electric shock, that he released in each of their heads one by one. It was something that will take in action, once they get they back to their usual self.
"Before I leave" His sudden voice caused three of them to turn their heads into his direction with fear, what's going to follow next after the hell he put them through. He continued without turning around, "If any of you try to come around my house or my family, then the deadly bomb that I have implanted in each of your heads will blow up. Don't even think that I am joking, because it's something that I am still struggling to learn"
Rei walked towards the exit, leaving behind demolished fallen angels with surprised looks on the ground. He felt it was too easy to deal with them, since they were not on his level to begin with. Had he awakened his sacred gear a week or probably a month ago, he wouldn't have walked with this so easily. Even though, it was because of him awakening the sacred gear a bit prior from this incident, it can't be denied that he had put lots of blood, sweat and tears to reach this level.
Coming outside from the church, he stretched his arms in the air, while yawning and feeling sleepy. He checked on his wristwatch and noticed it was 12:09 am, which made him sigh. It was his rule to get to the bed by 11 pm, after 2 hours of intense study session with a 15 minute chat group discussion. But it was ruined today and a thought of skipping today's training session crossed his mind, but he dispersed it immediately.
'No way I am going to skip tomorrow's training session. Even if I have to get 4 hours of sleep, I'll be there' thought Rei while clenching his fist in determination and getting back into his godspeed mode. He turned into a lightning and reached in front of his house in mere seconds. Wasting no time, he went to his backyard to get into the room, but not before getting an electric sensation as he tried to touch on window to open it.
Dispersing away the electric barrier around his window, he went inside without raising any suspicions around his neighbourhood. Taking shoes in his hands, he placed it near the door and jumped on the bed to get sleep. But there was an annoying itch he was feeling, to check the chat group. Putting away aside his temptation, he tried to get back to sleep, but failed miserably.
He summoned the familiar blue screen to give into his temptation, since it was messing with his sleep and later was important to him right now. As he opened the chat section, his name was written by Itadori again and again, till Nami stopped him doing so. Surprisingly, Itadori was the only one still online.
[[ Rei: Are you a vampire Itadori? ]]
[[ Itadori: Rei, you're online finally. I was waiting for so long to talk to you about something ]]
[[ Rei: Yeah sure, what do you want to talk about. I'm all ears ]]
[[ Itadori: Do you have a spare weapon with you? ]]
[[ Rei: A spare weapon? ]]
[[ Itadori: You see, I went with a team mate to slay a curse in an abandoned building that I told you about. I had a weapon but it's broken and now I am just empty handed. So can you lend me some sword or gun, that you use to kill devils ]]
[[ Rei: Well, I got a gun that shoots light bullets and a light saber. Do you want them? Although I am not sure if it will work against the curses in your world ]]
[[ Itadori: Just send me, Rei. It's better to have something than nothing. I don't want to be a dead weight for my teammates, so I am fine with it ]]
[[ Rei: Here you go ]]
Rei touched on the yuji's icon in the chat and there was a send option. He took out the light sword and gun, that he took from Freed and placed it over the blue screen which instantly got sucked into it, surprising Rei. A moment later, there was a message from Itadori.
[[ Itadori: This is awesome! Not only I can shoot bullets but also swing light saber like Jedi. Thanks for this, Rei. You're the best ]]
When Rei read the word Jedi, he was going to ask Itadori about Star Wars, but he went offline instantly to play around with new weapons, that Rei gave him. With a sigh, Rei signed off and went back to sleep, since his temptation was satiated and sleep was creeping over him.
It was the best he could do for his fellow group member right now. For Rei, Itadori was like an energetic and naïve individual, who seeks and spreads positivity around him just like him, so he gets along with him, to help him as much he can. He avoids being selfish and opportunist, since it will not get him far and will only push him away from other people and what's power with no one around who cares for you.
'It's shitty to be a self centered and shrinking to my personal gains, If I could make my surrounding people better, then automatically, the vibe and conduct will change for better. It took me 34 years to learn this simple fact and I am happy to learn it' He turned to the other side, trying to get back to sleep while his thoughts were circling around his head, whether he should be helping Itadori by giving him light gun and sword.
'It's going to be quite hectic tomorrow. Although I told them to clean all blood and take away dead bodies, but there is a slight chance that their sudden disappearance will raise suspicions of Sona about me or other intruders. Rias will probably put it aside but Sona will press it on for a long time' Rei wasn't scared of getting caught by the devil heiresses. It's the trust between him and devil girls, that even if he did wrong, they would first listen to his reason for choosing that particular action.
