Next Morning

This morning, I wake up early so I can keep an eye on 'Shushi'. When I go to her house to watch her, she is cooking at her older brother's house. Afterward, she trains with 'Muiro', where he is teaching her how to increase her strength. After that, they have a conversation.

'Muiro' tells me that they are keeping an eye on 'Shangshu'. On the day when 'Shangshu' returns from fighting someone and looks a bit weaker, they plan to attack him and finish him off. I laugh at their words because even if 'Shangshu' is weaker, he could still defeat all of them without any trouble. But then I remember, no, that's not possible because I think 'Muiro' and 'Seto' have become much stronger, yet they still won't be able to defeat 'Shangshu' so easily. After that, they both go to rest, and I leave too.

I then go to keep an eye on 'Shangshu', where he is training to both avoid and attack using his 'Sword Technique Style'. I laugh at the fact that there's still no object available to stop that technique. Tonight, something strange happens when Demon King 'Keto' calls 'Shangshu', me, and many other 'upper ranks' and some lower-level demons.

Demon King 'Keto' gives us orders to find the girl who can kill him. He says whether we bring her alive or dead, it doesn't matter. 'Upper ranks' and 'Yochiro', it's your task to find out where she lives and what her name is. If any demons find her, they can kill her. This girl will look very powerful and a bit strange. If you see someone like that, kill her. And if you're still confused, go to a village and kill all the girls between 18 and 20 years old. Everyone can leave, except for the 'upper ranks' and 'Yochiro'.

I ask 'Lord Keto' why he gave such an order, putting us demons at risk. I heard that a very powerful demon fighter has joined the Demon Fighter group, and if they find out that demons are killing people, they'll increase security and create new demon fighters. This could lead to them attacking us, and they might bring that girl along too.

'Lord Keto' tells me, "I went a month ago to kill a powerful demon fighter," where the demon fighter said, "Your end is near, and the girl you're searching for will be the one to kill you. She's also receiving training from the demon fighters." He added, "She'll come to kill me around the 10th of next month, and you won't be able to do anything. No one will be able to save you. Not even your 'upper ranks'. She will kill all of you one by one."

I tell the strong demon fighter, "You should be scared of death, old man." He responds, "It's written in my fate that I will die by your hands." I say, "You should be scared, Keto, because I was going to die anyway, but you are immortal." Before the old man could say anything, I killed him. But I wonder, what is Lord Keto afraid of that led him to give such orders, even though the girl hasn't shown up yet?

Yesterday, 'Shangshu' told me, "I encountered a strange demon fighter, one unlike any I've seen before. This demon fighter was very powerful." I believe that it was the same girl that 'Shangshu' tried to attack that night, and someone else saved her. I think that person who saved her was the girl, and that's why I gave these orders.

Now, 'Lord' tells me, "You need to watch over the demon fighter's territory to see if any new demon fighter has appeared and if the girl is there." And he tells 'Shangshu', "Be careful that no one is keeping an eye on you. And 'Yochiro', you need to be careful around the demon fighter, as you aren't the best at fighting. If you're killed, it will make our job harder. Also, 'Shangshu', if you meet her again, kill her on the spot." 'Shangshu' responds, "Yes, Lord." 'Lord' tells the other upper ranks, "If you get information about her, attack her immediately. Until then, focus on training because she's very powerful." They respond, "Yes, Lord." We all leave after that.
