NOVEL NEXT Chapter 8: Chapter 7: So close
"What the fuck is the matter with you, you little bitch! Your still as small as worm yet you are already acting too high, how dare you! Who do you think you are! Do you want me to cut that ugly little hand of yours?! ", Young Lady Kharen shouted while her hand intinctively moved to slap Little Shizuna's small round rosy checks. Young master Shinri already bent his knees, ready for a dash run in a rush to shield his sister against Lady Kharen's attack. This slap seems normal to everyone's eyes but as Lady Kharen's sparring partner most of the time, he knew better how strong and terrifying this simple attack is. Receiving this attack will surely break one or two of his sister's newly grown tooth. He's also sure that it will leave bruise or worse a few wounds on his sister's cute face.
Unfortunately, their distance made it impossible for him to made it in time. Besides, with how fast Young Lady Kharen's hand moves, he knows deep inside that he cannot stop her anymore.
Seeing the unfavorable situation to his daughter, General Hagris already unsheated his sword. He's speed is so fast that a simple commoner won't even realize that he already made his move. Only his shadow was left in his previous place and a silver glint of a sword can be seen nearing young lady Kharen's neck.
Before death can manage to take Young Lady Kharen's life, a black shadow suddenly obstructed General Hagris sword. Two swords collided with each other that caused pain on everyone's ears, it sounds like two grinding teeth nearly on a breakout. This is a counterattack made by General Lewis, Young Lady Kharen's father. General Lewis is also one of the well known great General of Valeria Kingdom. He is the main reason why Young Lady Kharen was brave enough to cause trouble inside the Hagris mansion. She knows that no matter what happens, others will pardon her wrong deeds because his father's name is enough to protect her from danger.
" Let the kids settle their own battle" , General Lewis shortly said.
"You can easily say that because your daughter is not the one in danger. Yours are already capable and trained in the academy while mine is barely walking and speaking properly. So you better step aside Lewis or else... " General Hagris aura become deadly all of a suddenly and his eyes constricted into slit-bloody and deadly, showing how serious he is at the moment. A frightening thick killing intent is in the air that made a few commoner lost their consciousness. The other guest near them already lost their consciousness.
But despite of his aura, General Lewis didn't step aside. He stand still, his own aura is also rising which made it harder for the people around them to breathe properly. General Lewis did not release any killing intent , his sole intention is to stop General Hagris in his rampage. He already ordered his right hand soldier to interfere and stop his daughter's action. It is very disrespectful and shameful enought for their daughter to threaten and attack the birthday celebrant of this event. He clearly understand what his friend Hagris feels right now. But he is also a father, he cannot abandon her daughter and let her be killed just because of this small conflict. But he will make sure that a suitable punishment is waiting for her daughter, it seems like he's been to lenient on her that she already forget what proper discipline is.
Every guests thought that Young lady Kharen can finally teach little Shizuna a lesson. While Prince Rhen and the others face become serious as they knew what may be the consequences of lady Kharen's action. Lady Lhia opened her mouth to say something but too late as Lady Kharen's hand is already breathe apart in little Shizuna's face. Her attack vicious and relentless.
But before her palm can even land in little Shizuna's face, Little Shizuna's feet suddenly slip and fell backward narrowly avoiding the slap. She smiles and laughs clearly enjoying her fall. She said "Again! Again! " Lady Shizuna stand and cleaned her buttocks before running towards Lady Leona. Lady Leona is silently watching how the situation progress but when little Shizuna run into her, she was slightly stunned. Seconds later, she finally gave her a slight smile and asked if she's alright. The atmosphere lightens a bit seeing Little Shizuna managed to escape from Young Lady Leona's attack.
Little Shizuna smiled to Young Lady Leona but remain her silence. A minute passed by but she still failed to answer her. She looks carefully directly to Lady Leona's eyes, she's still smiling widely. It's actually a little strange, she looks at Lady Leona for almost a minute then as if she made up her mind, she run to Lady Leona for embrace .
After Lady Leona scooped her in her arms, she felt her light, round and small body. Little Shizuna pointed to Lady Kharen and said " Big meanie! Ugly meanie!! Bleeh " , she said in a complaining tone and showed her cute little pink tounge.
Super annoyed, Young Lady Kharen attempted to grab little Shizuna again from Lady Leona , she's ready for another attack but Lady Leona calmly took a step back.
"Are you seriously going to act so low and be so petty to a small little child, Kharen? Why don't we end this scene by asking Little Shizuna to apologize properly to Lhia. I think we should let Lhia handle this herself since she's the one involved. Stop being so childish and making this a big deal. I believe that even Lhia is capable enough to handle a slight hit from a small hand. Right, Lhia?
Suddenly, all eyes turns to young Lady Lhia.
