A Reader's Grimoire In A Novel World

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Epic grade weapon reveal

Elder Ragner floated above the hundreds of teenagers who all participated in this clan trial, and he couldn't help but smile at all of them.

"It seems the royal princes still hold their own within the barrier," he smiled as he mumbled.

His golden-colored eyes, which had little sparks of lightning within, glanced at Julius from afar, and he couldn't help but smile.

"The clan trial is officially over! Return to the castle grounds. The results will be announced during the celebration tomorrow," Elder Ragner said with a wave of his hand, and the students standing in the dark field all vanished in a flash of light.

The king, who had been observing the entire time, finally stood up and put on a subtle smile before turning to Margaret, his wife.

"Seems like you made a good judgment about the boy. He is indeed a special asset," the king said before he walked away from the platform.

Margaret couldn't help but chuckle to herself. She glanced at the other queens, who left in silence, and she couldn't help but keep thinking to herself.

'Good judgment about my son? I just wanted to make him happy...' She chuckled at the thought and then went away from the location with Sasha, who also had a seat there.

---

Two hours later,

Julius, who sat on the bed, kept staring at a grimoire, which was wide open above him.

'I managed to survive the clan's trial. There were other formidable opponents I would have found difficult in this round, but it looked like River took care of all of them before they became a threat to me.' His eyes glanced at the words in the book, which seemed static.

Knock knock...

Julius glanced over at the door as he heard the knock, and he looked through the door with his special eye. Seeing who it was, he finally stood up from the bed and went to the door.

"I'm still wondering how you got outside the door," Julius said as he looked at the knight in front of him.

He looked up to see the man with red armor and red hair staring down at him, and the man smiled.

"I've come to inform your highness, the prince. The king is demanding your presence," the knight said with a small bow, and Julius' expression remained still, totally unconcerned about what the knight came to announce.

'I'm very sure he was always beside me...' he thought, still looking at the knight with a bored look.

"You can also use the second quintessential space code?" he asked with a calm voice, and the guard only nodded to him slightly, looking shocked.

"You're going to have to teach me when I graduate from the academy," he said before closing the door, and the knight was left dumbfounded.

'How does he know about the quintessential codes? Or rather, how does he know that I used it?' Ray thought to himself, and then he walked away from the room, still in thought.

'At first, I thought it was all just coincidence, but the prince is really starting to feel like a different person. Especially with his cold eyes,' Ray thought, sighing as he stared out of the veranda.

'Must have been the way the residents of the castle look at him and treat him. So he's finally moved past his childish stage, huh?' The knight put on a slight smile before vanishing into thin air like dust.

---

Julius looked at his reflection in the mirror. Seeing a few marks on his torso, he let out a sigh as he raised his eyes to his face.

'Hm, even if I see this face every morning, I could never imagine myself with such a face,' he thought, tracing his jawline and admiring his purple eyes.

Over the months, he seemed to have gained a lot of muscle just from training.

He left the mirror to prepare and finally left the room to meet up with his father.

The rooms of the queens and all the royalty were on the top floor. His own room was on the third floor just because he was a disgrace to his family.

Climbing up the stairs, he could already feel a chill up his spine as he climbed the marble steps.

'This part of the castle is as beautiful as the other parts,' Julius thought as he stared at the paintings on the walls, along with beautiful tapestries of various creatures.

He finally arrived at the tenth and top floor and walked down the hallway.

Julius opened up the two-meter-tall door and then was met with a large hall that had a lot of space and a large throne at the end.

There were armored knights standing on the sides of the hall, ten on each side.

'The air is heavy with different kinds of essence,' Julius thought as he calmly walked into the hall.

He stood in front of the throne soon and then looked his father in the eye before he knelt down on one knee.

"Your highness." His low voice reached his father's ear, and up on the throne, the brown-haired man with dark eyes and sharp features gazed down at the boy.

"Julius, you have shown exceptional results since you took the stone of rebirth. Although I'm still annoyed that Margaret would give it to a useless person, I'm still interested in what your limits are." The king's deep voice reached his ears, and then he looked to the side.

"As promised, you will be sent to Midgard Academy and will also receive the official title of an heir and a crown of princeship. For now, you will be taken to the vault with the others to claim a weapon," the king said with a still voice, and then he looked at Elder Ragner, who was beside him, and the elder walked toward Julius.

"Come with me, child," the elder commanded, and Julius stood before walking out of the throne room.

The knights all around gazed at the door as Julius left, and then another elder beside the king, wearing a cloak, walked next to him.

"He's already reached Scheme 7 of the First Echelon. He can already be considered a genius," the elder said.

The king said nothing as he remembered the gaze of the child who had just walked out.

"His eyes looked like one that has been battle-hardened. I couldn't sense an aura of nervousness from him or even read him at all..." the king said, and then the elder frowned.

"Do you think it's a person sent after you?" the elder asked, causing the king to smirk.

"Who would dare to come after me?"
