Ascalon
“So, are you going to hurry it up or what?”
“I- what if someone sees?”
“I don’t think anyone else is going to be visiting me, but if you’re worried, you can go to another room. I just want to be there.”
“Yes, I think I’d prefer that.”
“Okay. Follow me,” Julia said, leading Amelia into a bedroom before sitting down on the bed.
As Julia looked at Amelia expectantly, Amelia just stood there awkwardly. “So, are you going to get to it, or…”
“Just- give me a moment, okay? When I came over here, I didn’t expect this to be how my day would end up going.”
“That’s fair. But if you just stand there, then your day won’t be going anywhere else.”
“True,” Amelia sighed. “Just don’t… try anything while I change.”
“Fine,” Julia said, pouting exaggeratedly. “I’m not making any promises for afterward, though.”
How is she hornier than I am half the time? She doesn’t even have to deal with SP, Amelia wondered, closing her eyes as she took off her dress to at least pretend like her best friend of fifteen years wasn’t staring at her.
“Oh, is that your bra thing you were talking about?”
Yeah, that wasn’t working.
After fully taking off her dress, Amelia opened her eyes to see Julia intently focused on her exposed dick.
“Hey, what did I say?”
“I’m not trying anything,” Julia said. “Although, judging by how hard you are, I don’t think you’d object a whole lot if I did.”
I really should’ve masturbated before I came over here. How full is my SP at this point?
“Just- don’t,” Amelia said as she grabbed the half-dress and quickly put it on, tying it in place with a rope belt.
Picking up the shirt she had made, she pulled it over her head, then tightened the string until the fabric started to just slightly press against her breasts. “How do I look?”
“It looks nice. Looks a bit tight around the chest area, though. Wanna fix that?”
“What did I tell you about-”
“You said ‘while you change’”, Julia interrupted. “And besides, you said the skirt was partially to make it easier to access your crotch. We can’t say whether or not it does without, y’know, testing it.”
“True,” Amelia admitted

Meanwhile, back at the camp, Kass wasn’t doing too well. Without his weapon, he had no way to safely attack the crack in the wyrm’s scales without being hurt. His [Static Blast] hadn’t done anything before, and he didn’t have any other good spells. Worse, the wyrm had started to adjust to his dodges. He’d more likely than not just barely avoid it, and he was getting tired. If Kass was going to defeat this thing, the best he could hope for was mutually assured destruction. Leaping at the wyrm, he extended his claws. As the wyrm bit down on his lower body, Kass fought through the pain to drive his claws into the glowing weak point.
Level up!
[Ascalon] unlocked!
As soon as Kass hit the weak spot, he felt his body heal fully- his fatigue was better, his legs, which had just moments ago been mangled beyond belief, had returned to peak form, and he felt even stronger. As the wyrm screamed in pain, Kass leapt back, ready to fight.
Now, what’s [Ascalon?]
As the wyrm writhed in pain, Kass quickly opened his menu to check the skill description
Ascalon Type: Unique/Active Level: 1 Cost: X MP Duration: X + 0.1Mag Minutes Allows the user to summon the weapon Ascalon. Power and duration are dependent on the amount of MP used in the casting. |
Well, let’s hope this works. Pouring all 15 of his remaining MP into the spell, Kass raised his arm to the sky as a bolt of lightning came down, forming into a weapon.
Ascalon was a spear, although one made differently to anything else Kass had seen. The shaft was five feet of polished wood, dyed a deep red. The blade was a bright gold color and at least two feet long, and curved at the end instead of a direct point. A carved dragon curved around the spear, with the mouth ending at the blunt back edge of the blade. The spear was taller than Kass in its entirety, but it felt perfectly weighted, with a golden cap on the other end to balance the blade.
“Nice.” Adjusting his grip on the spear, Kass felt prepared to slay the wyrm once and for all.
As the wyrm came rushing at him, Kass quickly moved to the side, driving Ascalon into the wyrm’s side, creating a long gash as the wyrm flew past him. As the wyrm roared angrily, it twisted to rush at Kass once more.
“Not used to someone being able to hurt you, huh?” Rushing to meet the wyrm, Kass planted the spearpoint into the ground, using it as a vaulting pole to leap above the beast before throwing it down, the blade sinking all two feet into the wyrm’s hide.
Landing on the wyrm’s back, Kass grabbed Ascalon again, and leaped backwards, pulling the blade along a good length of the wyrm before it was dislodged.

Some ways away, Gabriel was helping the priestess take care of the injured. While she’d initially used magic, she’d apparently run out of magic, now just making simple tourniquets and dressing wounds as best she could, occasionally asking Gabriel for strips of cloth or to hold things in place while she worked. Impressively, it seemed like everyone who had come on the raid was going to make it through without any serious injuries, despite the darkness making it a more perilous mission than expected. The priestess’s magic was quite something.
“Good news!”
“What happened?”
“I have a feeling that we’ll be able to go back to the clearing soon.”
“How can you tell?”
“Apparently, Kass just got a new spell.”
“Do you know what it does?”
As Gabriel turned to look towards where the sounds of battle could still be faintly heard, he saw a bolt of lightning strike down.
“It does lightning, apparently.”
