Chapter 118: 114: New Songs
"Remember, Marvin, a hat is an integral part of your image. Cherish it," I handed the headdress to the guy. I myself did not lag behind, and put on the same white hat with soft brim, wrapped with a black satin ribbon and a barely noticeable neat bow in the same color.
Today I spent time in the recording studio again, teaching the new guy Michael Jackson's signature moves, and demonstrating how to interact with the new accessory.
"I composed a song to go with the new dance. It's called Smooth Criminal."
[
Moving to the beat of the music, I didn't forget about the hat: from time to time I tilted it so that it almost completely covered my face. In addition to the headdress, the main element of this dance is the so-called "antigravity tilt". This was another calling card of the King of Pop - tilting the body to the floor at 45 degrees.
Together with researchers, Jackson came up with shoes with a triangular slit on the heels. A metal pin sticking out of the floor entered this slit - this allowed him to "cheat" gravity.
I should find some people who can recreate something like this. Okay, I'll figure this out later. Having rehearsed the dance, I turned on other music, which I also wrote this morning - Beat It.
[
I must say, today's day started off quite productively. I managed to sketch out as many as four new tracks for Marvin, thus completing his mini-album, consisting of five songs.
All that remains is to finalize the arrangement, and we can start dancing. The third composition, Bad, like the previous two, carried a common theme of the horrors of lawlessness.
[
The anti-crime message will serve as a good support for the growth of popularity of these tracks, well, and the hat, of course. It will become the main highlight of the image.
"Sasha," I called out to my protector, who had been sitting to the side all this time, immersed in a mobile game. "How did you like our dance?"
"Words fail me," she put her phone down, casting a thoughtful glance at us. "Now if you fought as well as you danced, it would be even better."
"Don't be so harsh. I still have my whole life ahead of me... I think I should take a short break. And Marvin, it wouldn't hurt for you to listen to the last song I wrote today. I'll make you happy by saying that you don't have to dance to perform it, but you will have to work on your vocals. It's a lyrical love song – You Are Not Alone."
[
I didn't want people to think that Marvin is only capable of performing fast, noisy and danceable songs. He should also be able to sing romantic, dramatic, slow, ear-pleasing songs, which is what You Are Not Alone is.
It's a ballad about love and loneliness… It will stand out from the rest of the songs, but that will only make it even more valuable. As soon as the song was presented, we, with renewed vigor, started rehearsing the dance again.

[POV Sasha]
Alex Reath… When I started work, I had no idea how interesting and at the same time strange a person my new boss would turn out to be. When I was notified that someone wanted to hire me as a bodyguard, and for a fabulous sum, I was very surprised. It was obvious that the new client wanted to get me as his protector, and he did not spare money for this.
I do not know why, among the countless candidates, he was only interested in me. At first I thought that he knew me from somewhere, or had met me once, but my memory has always been fine, and so I was sure that I had never heard of a man named Alex Reath.
It all seemed strange, and I decided to stay away from such oddities, and therefore asked for over 300 thousand dollars a year for my work, hoping that this would make him give up on me. To my amazement, he agreed to pay the amount. After thinking for a while, I decided, why not try, especially for such money.
Besides, I am a professional and know my job. What do I have to lose or risk? And I agreed. Thanks to my extensive connections, I found out who exactly my new client was: a writer, composer, singer, game developer.... He founded a company and took up one of the most unprofitable areas of business - the entertainment industry. To everyone's surprise, Alex, albeit slowly but surely, elevated his company.
Another key moment in his biography is his craving for women. According to reliable sources, he has as many as three ladies of the heart. This does not surprise me, rich people often have several mistresses. The most interesting thing I was able to find out about him was the incident in the Penguin nightclub.
Gotham's psychopathic clown burst into the banquet without an invitation and took everyone present hostage. According to several eyewitnesses, they were saved from imminent death by Alex Reath, who bravely stood up to the Joker. At first, I did not believe it, but after our visit to Arkham, my doubts dissipated somewhat.
However, at the same time, my interest in my employer only increased. I remember the first time I met him in his office. Then his gaze caught my attention. The way he looked at me, I do not even know how to describe the feeling I had at that moment. His eyes seemed to say: I have known you for a long time. They saw right through me ... I do not know why I thought so, but I am sure that I was not

Now, since this chapter is small, I'll upload one more but what I want in return is a handful of power stones so that we can get into top 50 ranking?
Okay?
