Chapter 8: The Loner Rejects The Bullied Girl
A man is stuck on an island.
He has not done anything in the last few days and has just stayed somewhere where he feels safe.
"I am alone," the man said.
…
Before the tragedy occurs, he senses that the boat he is on is about to be wrecked as it passes through the storm, but he chooses to put his trust and faith in it.
Unfortunately, something unexpected occurred.
He tripped.
The other passengers made it through the storm safely, but due to his own error, he fell into the water.
No one notices him.
He attempted to swim back, but the waves were too strong.
Knowing he could not fight the wave, he let it push him until he reached this island.
…
A small hut.
He built it out of leaves and sticks.
The man had been living on the island for so long that he began to believe that living here might be a good thing, so he decided to stay for another few years without attempting rescue.
Even though he saw a boat, he will never tell them that he is on the island.
After a few years, the man becomes an old man.
He realized many things on this island, including the fact that people could not survive for long periods of time without someone by their side.
Finally, he decided to leave the island.
A bamboo-based floating boat has been built.
He created this a long time ago because there is no entertainment on this island.
He has lived here for many years, so he is aware that there is an unknown island to the south, but the boats he sees are from the north.
Both places were closed, but he could not decide where to go because he had previously seen "once" a boat come from the southern part.
…
Wrine attempted to continue the story, but Rhealyn interrupted him.
"There is no need to go on. You are rejecting me, right?"
"Uh… Eh…"
"Thank you for considering my feelings. Honestly, this is just..."
Rhealyn decided to talk about her bullies.
He knows the majority of the story, but Wrine is perplexed as to why she tells it so calmly.
Is not she supposed to be scared of talking to a stranger like him?
They may be classmates, but they have not spoken to each other unless absolutely necessary, so they are essentially strangers, so why is she giving the impression that they are very close?
Wrine is truly perplexed, but he still chooses to act surprised to learn the truth about her confession.
Rhealyn bows and thanks him again before passing him.
Their conversation has ended, so there is nothing left to discuss.
She was about to walk back down the corridor when she abruptly turned around.
"Let us start as a friend."
This time, she walks away until she disappears from his vision.
"What does she mean?"
Wrine is perplexed, but his narcissism takes over and he believes that his popular phase has finally begun.
He assumed she was thinking something like this: she would not end her relationship with him and had decided to begin as friends so that their relationship could grow closer.
He immediately shook his head.
It feels good to think about it from this perspective, but he must remain positive while not losing sight of reality.
"She wanted a friend. We're quite similar… I think."
Wrine decided to return to his classroom.
…
Meanwhile.
Rhealyn's face became angry, as if she wanted to kill someone.
Unfortunately, it is actually a face that wishes to kill someone.
"As long as Ashley lives, he will not be completely mine."
She gritted her teeth.
"Kill her… I need to kill her… I have to kill her..."
