18 – I can’t stand a sore loser
How did I manage to pull off a win? It’s quite simple. Although I couldn’t prove it, he definitely was cheating in some way. He was trying to get me in debt on purpose. So… I myself cheated. Freezing Step. It’s a PA that’s notorious in pvp. For exactly 3 seconds time freezes for your opponent. Or more exactly, their perception of time. In that gap, it was very easy for me and my current speed to simply swap all my cards.
“This can’t be… this wasn’t supposed to happen? Just how?”
“I guess Lady Luck was on my side.”
“No. I can’t accept this!”
He tried reaching towards the flash drive that he tossed on the table to take it back. Sorry pal, but that ain’t happening.
“AAAAH!!”
I reacted faster. Normally I could have just grabbed the flash drive, but trash like him won't know their place if left alone. So I grabbed his wrist and violently twisted it. I think it’s safe to say that I broke it.
“You damn brat! You broke my arm! Do you realize the consequences of your actions?”
“What consequences?”
“You there, little girl.”(???)
I turned my head around. It seems like a white knight entered the area enclosed by curtains. If I recall these guys are the public enforcers on this planet. They resemble knights from Tales of Arise, actually.
“Little girl, you have broken the law. Violence is prohibited on Jewel Resort.”
Judging by this guy's voice, he’s an android. I don’t honestly have time to deal with stuff like this.
“Are you a complete idiot? I am Kizuna Amun Ra. The supreme one that is not binded by any laws. Get out of my sight, you tin can.”
I made my usual forehead flick gesture. Instead of turning him into blood, it pushed him and sent him all the way crashing into the first wall.
“Halt!”(???)
“Ojou-sama, more of them came. Shall I handle it?” (Stella)
“You have violated the law. May you be judged by the stars!”(???)
One of these robots apparently pressed some sort of button on his wrist terminal. In the next moment, I could only see a bright red light that fell from the sky, piercing the casino ceilings.
“Something like that won’t…”(Kizuna)
I was prepared to guard against it, but my body felt weird. This wasn’t a laser beam of destruction. It was something else. Before I realized, the light became too bright and forced me to close my eyes.
.
.
.
“Ojou-sama! What the hell did you do to her?” (Stella)
“If you think she’s dead, worry not. We gain nothing from the dead. She was judged and sent to Prison Planet to carry out her sentence.”(???)
“Prison Planet? You send my lady to that place? I should kill all of you right here.”
“Hostility detected. We must pass judgment upon the accomplice as well.”
Stella was prepared to deploy her armaments, however she left herself exposed. She was not paying attention to Gyros, who got close to her and pulled out something that looked like a taser gun.
“KuuuuAAAH!!”
A powerful electric current ran through Stella’s body. Her screams resounded for roughly 1 minute until the energy core of Gyros’s taser was depleted.
“Fool. This is a very special weapon. Even if an android is resistant to electricity, this will render it unconscious. However it is an extremely rare item. It cost me a fortune.”
Stella was now lying unconscious on the floor.
“Guards, this was self defense, you agree?”
“Special code 74 detected. Lord Gyros confirmed. Yes. It was self defense. We thank you for the assistance.”
“Now hurry up and zap her too.”
“Negative. Orders from His Majesty were received. He is interested in this woman. We shall be taking her to see him.”
“Hou? I see. Perhaps that is even a better punishment than sending her to the Prison Planet along with that…!! Oh shit! She still has my flash drive. This day is just the worst!”
While Gyros was complaining and throwing a tantrum, the androids picked up Stella and prepared to take her away.

"What the fuck do you mean, Molly?" (Lisa)
"Stop screaming. I mean what I said. Stella and ojou-sama were separated. Look. Ojou-sama's signal disappeared. Stella's is still working but… it's moving weird."
"This is all my fault. It's because I slept too much. I should have been the one that stayed at ojou-sama's side." (Alisha)
On board the Avalanche, things weren't too great either. Ava's AI can monitor the signal of each and every member of the crew up to a certain range. It's a safety feature as your vital signs can be monitored. In case an abnormality happened, you know you have to go to the med bay.
Right now however, Kizuna's signal has disappeared. It was a red glowing dot, but just like turning your television off, it vanished.
"Alisha, blaming yourself won't get us anywhere." (Rose)
"You're right. Let me head over to that casino. I'll demolish it and kill everyone until I find ojou-sama and…"
*BONK*
Rose slammed her fist in Alisha's head.
"Ouch! Rose, that hurt!"
"You need to get your head out of the clouds. Listen, I know you are worried. I am too. But look over here."
Rose pointed towards the holographic monitor.
"Although her position has gone missing, her vital signs are still incoming. They are still under normal parameters and nothing is indicating that she is in danger. Her heartbeat and pulse would have fluctuated."
"I guess."
"And besides, wreaking havoc can draw consequences. Not only will you attract attention to ourselves, but we have no clue if ojou-sama has achieved her goal? What if you end up killing the man we need?
Or what if ojou-sama is preparing an elaborate plan and by interfering now, we will ruin it. We should give her and Stella more time."
"I see. Yes, you are perfectly right, Rose. What was I thinking?"
"This is why I was entrusted with the role of overseer. To make sure you all do your part but also so that you don't cause any blunders. We are all worried about ojou-sama.
But let's give her some more time. If we don't receive any communications from Stella or ojou-sama, naturally we will act in some way. Her safety is our priority, and if needed we shall give our lives for her."
"Well said!" (Lisa)
"Amazing, Rose." (Molly)
"Molly, keep monitoring the screen. If something happens, let us know. As for the rest, continue your routines. But be prepared to act if needed."
