Chapter 1212: Make Sure You Keep Up
Archer, Kassandra and Lucrezia left Emberport behind before walking along a road that bordered the sea. While doing that, the blonde commented, ''You wouldn't think war has broken out? This place is peaceful.''
''I agree but it will get worse,'' he replied while watching a flock of birds passing by. ''The Alliance are regrouping on Avidia and going to attack the northern fortress.''
When the two women heard this, their eyes widened in shock, but Kassandra quickly questioned, ''What will we do about it?''
Before answering, he used Mana Manipulation to create a bench for the three of them to sit down. Lucrezia sat first, then Kassandra followed behind just as he answered the dark-haired woman's question. ''I've summoned three more legions from Draconia. They were deployed this morning.''
''You're bringing eleven armies here?'' the Mosasaur woman asked. ''Isn't that overkill?''
Archer shook his head before explaining, ''No it's not Luce. Avidia is massive, and four and a half million soldiers aren't enough to hold it once we've conquered it.''
''What do you plan on doing?'' Kassandra asked with a curious expression.
''Raise new armies made up of locals who are loyal to Draconian to man forts, cities and ports while the Legions cover the rest,'' he answered with a smile before asking, ''Are you two hungry?''
The women nodded in agreement, prompting Archer to conjure a table and arrange an array of Earth delicacies. As the three of them began to eat, the Kraken Princess couldn't hide her astonishment, her wonder shining through with every flavorful bite.
Lucrezia sampled a chicken wrap, her eyes closing in pure delight as she savored the rich, mouthwatering taste. While sitting there, several shooting stars passed above them, which made his eyes glow.
Just as this happened, Kassandra spoke with a big smile as she complimented him. ''I love your violet eyes, handsome. They are gorgeous.''
Archer smiled when hearing this and replied while looking into her beautiful black eyes, ''Thank you, Kass. That means a lot to me.''
''It's your snow white hair that does it for me husband,'' the Mosasaur woman commented with a grin. ''I've seen it before, but not as soft and bright as yours.''
''Thank you both,'' he said while scratching the back of his head. ''It means a lot to me when you girls compliment me.''
Following that, the trio ate until the moon, enjoying their meal, but as they neared the end, Archer had a good idea. ''Do you ladies want to check out a new area I found?" It would be perfect to spend time at.''
''Yes that sounds good,'' Kassandra answered while stretching her arms, which caused him to notice her big boobs. ''We could do with some private time with you, handsome. It's been a while.''
Archer agreed with a nod before cleaning up everything before scooping up the Kraken while summoning his wings. Lucrezia chanted something and started floating in the air as she spoke, ''I'll follow you husband, just don't fly as fast as you normally do.''
''I won't be beautiful, but make sure you keep up,'' he said with a knowing grin.
Seconds later, he soared into the sky while flying across Draconia's new possession in the Great War. Lucrezia followed behind, but soon started casting her death magic that destroyed dozens of monsters.
Archer's gaze met a horde of monsters rushing toward Emberport from the mountains, causing him to smile. When Kassandra saw his expression she became confused, ''Why are smiling like that? A horde heading toward the city is bad?''
Without answering, he sent a message to Morena and asked her to get ten Tyrants ready for battle. Once Archer did that, he turned to the black-haired beauty and finally answered, ''I'm testing out some of the necromancer sisters' creations. I've seen them fight once, but I need to see more.''
He quickly opened a portal and the group of Tyrants stepped forward, which shocked the two women as the tall humanoid monsters stood ten feet tall wearing rudimental armor but looked vicious.
Lucrezia's eyes widened as she muttered, ''They are dead.''
''Of course they are,'' a woman's sensual voice reached their ears. ''I created them for my future husband and he gets the best.''
Archer turned around with a smile, but Lucrezia and Kassandra looked shocked as they spotted Morena. Her pale skinned and snow white hair stood out against her bright blue eyes that gleamed with mischief.
''Hello, my enchanting necromancer,'' he greeted the older woman with a playful grin. ''It's good to see you, Morena.''
A radiant smile spread across her face as she stepped forward and wrapped him in a warm embrace. ''It brings me joy to see you so happy,'' she said softly before her tone shifted, her eyes gleaming with determination. ''But we have unwelcome guests, my love. Shall I take care of them?''
''Be my guest,'' Archer replied with a knowing chuckle. Experience new stories on empire
Kassandra and Lucrezia exchanged stunned glances, their shock deepening as the Tyrants began battling the monstrous horde. Suddenly, two figures emerged from the chaos, catching them off guard. Their eyes turned to him in unison, seeking an explanation.
''I sensed their presence minutes ago,'' he began, his tone calm yet purposeful. ''But I needed the creatures dealt with first before addressing our unexpected visitors.''
Following that, Morena stepped forward with a wild smile as she exclaimed, ''You two will die so I can prove to my future husband that I'm strong.''
Her blue eyes gleamed as she started chanting and her fists glowed with a dreadful aura, which made Kassandra shiver as Lucrezia got excited. ''She's a fighting Necromancer! They are extremely rare now days.''
When the white-haired beauty heard her words, she glanced at the blonde with a knowing smile. ''Yes, young one. It's been many years since I've heard that name.''
Archer watched the Mosasaur woman's red eyes sparkle like a little girl on Christmas morning before asking, ''Can you teach me how to use it, please?''
Morena looked at him for permission, which he nodded with a smile, causing her to answer Lucrezia. ''Okay. I'll teach you, but it will be hard, girl.''
The blonde got excited, but the necromancer turned to the two enemies before readying herself for a fight with an excited expression.
The air crackled with tension as Morena squared off against the two foes, her gaze locked onto them like a predator. They attacked, but she moved, ducking under a swinging blade and driving her fist into the first enemy's solar plexus with bone-shattering force.
When the enemy felt the power, he stumbled back, gasping for air, as she pivoted to face the second. The opponent launched a flurry of attacks, but Morena weaved through them with the grace of a dancer, each dodge bringing her closer.
She caught their arm mid-strike, twisted it with brutal precision, and landed a crushing knee to their stomach, sending them reeling. The first enemy recovered and lunged, but she sidestepped and countered with a spinning back fist that connected with a resounding crack.
Before they could react, she followed up with a series of rapid punches, each one landing with surgical accuracy, finishing them with a devastating roundhouse kick that sent them crashing to the ground.
Turning to the second foe, Morena's expression was icy calm. She closed the distance in a heartbeat; her fists a blur as she delivered a flurry of body blows, leaving them defenseless. Her last strike, a perfectly executed uppercut, lifted them off their feet before they crumpled to the ground.
As the dust settled, Morena stood victorious, her breath steady, her fists clenched, and her eyes scanning for any lingering threats. ''Oh wow, she's powerful husband,'' Kassandra muttered in amazement.
Lucrezia agreed with an excited nod. ''She was using death magic to kill them. I can't even do that yet, but my master can,'' she said in surprise.
Archer was curious, but Morena appeared in front of him with a glowing smile. ''Can I spend some time with you, handsome? Demacia is busy with her experiment.''
''Of course you can,'' he answered the white-skinned woman. ''We were just going on a walk until the monster horde interrupted us.''
Following that, the group turned around and noticed the Tyrants stood there after finishing off the horde. This surprised Archer, but he opened a portal to the Domain and ordered them to throw the bodies through.
Once that was done, Morena and Kassandra grabbed his arms before the group started walking back to Emberport. While doing this he quickly noticed Lucrezia looked distract causing him to ask, ''What's wrong Luce?''
The blonde shook her head, her smile wide and bright. ''Sorry, I was just lost in thought, thinking about my magic and how I can improve it,'' she admitted.
Upon hearing this, the mature woman responded without hesitation. ''If you'd like, I can take you into the Domain and show you a few techniques that will help you grow stronger.''
