Chapter 1199: Do Not Flirt With My Woman
After hours of traveling from Draconia, the group arrived in a discreet bay that Teuila found while looking for a way onto the continent without getting seen by the Duskfire Navy that patrolled the coast.
Kassandra zoomed through the water like a bullet before sending Archer a message that it was clear after scouting the area. Once they got onto dry land, he cast a disguise over them all.
Archer, with his striking blue hair and piercing green eyes, stood out among them, his human ears a stark difference to his more exotic features. Teuila, her white hair flowing like snow, had vibrant pink eyes that gleamed.
Kassandra had brown hair and eyes, and her presence was calm yet strong, which made her giggle when she saw her reflection. With her soft pink hair and enchanting blue eyes, Eveline was striking in her own right, though her rabbit ears had mysteriously disappeared.
Aurelia had white hair that shimmered like moonlight, and her blood-red eyes seemed to pierce through the world around her. Following that, Archer turned to the ladies with a charming smile, ''We all will have different names. I will be Ryan, Teuila will be Sierra, Kass will be Beth, Eveline can be Eve and Aurelia can be Raily.''
They all agreed with determined nods as he continued, ''Remember to record as much as you can of Emberport. The invasion will start there and we'll take the fortress as a base for our conquest.''
Once Archer finished speaking, the group started looking for a road but had no luck. He quickly summoned the Tressyms and asked them to find a road from them which the flying cats agreed to.
Aurelia appeared beside him with glowing red eyes, ''You have so many monsters, is that Domain of yours full of them?'' Experience more tales on empire
''Yes,'' he answered with a chuckle. ''Once we're back home, I'll give you a tour. Sound good to you?''
The mermaid turned to him with a big smile, ''I'll hold you to that.''
Following that, Archer and the four women waited for the Tressyms, which didn't take long as they gave him the directions to the nearest. He stroked the fluffy creatures before returning them to the Domain.
Once the cats were gone, the group followed their directions, while the four women gossiped about the upcoming war, which made him smile as they were acting like a war was about to start.
While trekking, Teuila appeared beside him with a sweet smile, ''Can we help with the invasion, my love? I don't want to leave you to fight everything.''
''I won't be doing much fighting,'' Archer answered as they crossed over a bridge made from Redstone. ''I'm going to let the legions battle it out and only fight the stronger opponents when Natalia finally heals me.''
When the girls heard this, they were surprised, but he continued, ''It wouldn't have made sense for me to raise all those armies just for them to stand by while I fought. The real purpose is for them to learn how to fight and gain valuable experience.''
Everyone agreed before they stopped talking as a merchant caravan was traveling toward them. Archer's eyes narrowed as he scanned it and noticed two dozen adventurers were protecting them.
'They seem on edge,' he mused.
He turned to the four women and warned, ''A caravan is on its way toward us. They seem paranoid, so try not to attract attention unless something happens.''
Archer watched as they started giggling before Kassandra revealed, ''You realize the soldiers and merchants will look at us, my love? It happens any time we travel outside of Draconia.''
The group of five continued down the road, approaching the caravan. As the Kraken princess had predicted, the guards noticed them. In response, he met their gazes and playfully blew a kiss at one of the female adventurers.
When Archer blew the kiss, the woman's face turned crimson, prompting giggles from the women in his group. However, a man stepped forward, his expression darkening as he pointed at Archer.
''Do not flirt with my woman, traveler! Stick to your little girls,'' he growled.
His smile faded, replaced by a cold, dangerous edge. ''Shut the hell up,'' he snapped. ''Say one more word, and I'll wipe out this entire caravan, you disgusting human.''
The human adventurer froze at Archer's words, the intensity in his eyes leaving no room for doubt. Reluctantly, the guard backed off, which brought a satisfied smile to Archer's face as they continued on their way.
As the caravan faded into the distance, the group caught sight of their first stop before they arrived at Emberport. Archer led the women into the town as the sun started setting after hours of walking.
''Looks like a trading town,'' he spoke while scanning their surrounding only to notice a mountain in the distance. ''The Tressyms said this road leads to Emberport City, which is surrounded by a mountain range.''
''How do you plan on breaking out of the mountain range? Wouldn't that trap our army inside?'' Teuila asked with a worried expression.
Archer was just about to reply but Aurelia answered, ''I believe he'll use the Oathkeepers to clear a path. They are monsters and could tear apart an army on their own.''
When the other three women heard this, they agreed with a nod before Eveline questioned with gleaming red eyes, ''What are they? Monsters? I watched as four of them destroyed a cohort of Dragonblood Knights in training.''
''Broken soldiers who are now transformed into something so different, they're practically new humans,'' Archer revealed with a sly grin. ''I took inspiration from Earth's media and brought them to life using a blend of magic and science. Now, I've got ten super soldiers ready to deploy at my command.''
He pointed up into the sky, ''A Draconian Battle Barge is high above Avidia, waiting for any trouble. The others didn't want me to leave home with a full squad of Oathkeepers that could protect me.''
Teuila and Kassandra nodded in understanding, but the other two looked visibly shocked. Archer offered a calm explanation. ''I'm not fully healed yet,'' he admitted. ''I can manage a few spells without being affected by the poison, but it's still a risk. That's why Natalia is in the Domain, she'll come to heal me when the time is right.''
The women looked relieved after hearing his explanation, but the mermaid Aurelia commented with a curious expression, ''That's good. At least we have some backup if things go south.''
Afterward, they continued their journey until they reached the town, where the guards promptly stopped them. Several guards emerged as a smaller, man-sized door in the main gate creaked open.
One of them stepped forward and requested to see their Adventurer Cards. When they saw their fake adventurer cards, they were let in. He quickly noticed Eveline was bouncing on the spot while looking at him with glowing red eyes.
Archer knew that look that sent his blood pumping, his eyes shone with excitement as he announced to the group, ''Me and Eve will go fight at the guild training grounds. Do you girls want to come along?''
Teuila and Aurelia nodded, but the Kraken Princess looked at him with her beautiful black eyes as she exclaimed, ''Can I fight also? Two vs one would be fun, considering you're a Primordial Dragon now.''
Following that, Archer looked at her and nodded with a chuckle. ''That's fine. I can't wait to see how you girls have grown.''
The group of five strolled down the town's bustling main street, their eyes catching the distinct structure of the Adventurer's Guild. As they approached the gate, a guard stationed nearby stepped forward, raising a hand to halt them.
''Hold it right there, young ones. Are you here to use the training grounds?'' he asked, his tone firm but polite.
''Yes please,'' Archer answered.
The Guild guard nodded before asking, ''Let me see your adventurer cards.''
Everyone took the fake ones that were created by Archer and handed them over to the man, only for him to be shocked. ''Rank A boy? You cannot be that strong! You don't look a day over eighteen.''
Seconds later, the four women burst into giggles at the guard's question, and Teuila stepped forward with a confident smirk. ''You have no idea how strong our lover is, human,'' she said, her tone full of pride.
The guard raised an eyebrow but completed his inspection of their Adventurer Cards. Satisfied, the older man stepped aside and addressed them. ''You're right,'' he admitted grudgingly. ''Welcome to the town of Ashford, adventurers! Just make sure not to cause any trouble.''
Archer led the women through the gate only to see a rustic-looking town with buildings made of redwood and all kinds of people going about their business. He quickly noticed how hot the daytime was.
After he finished admiring the charm of the place, Kassandra commented with an annoyed expression, ''This place is horrible. It's so hot I feel like I'm melting.''
