The night was quiet out there; only the sound of the subordinates patrolling could be heard.
“You two, go check the outskirts.”
“Understood.”
“The rest of you, patrol around the rooftop again.”
“Roger that.”
Their volume wasn’t high but Hei Ming and Bai Hao upstairs could hear them clearly.
Bai Hao was lying in Hei Ming’s arms at the moment; he didn’t say a word but sobbing instead, and his eyes were bloodshot because of crying.
Hei Ming said nothing, either; he just gave Bai Hao a tender kiss on his shoulder.
Everything was peaceful and quiet; it was the tranquility that they never had together before.
Bai Hao wiped his tears and tried to get his emotion back together.
He had sworn before that he would never get into a toxic relationship with Hei Ming like this, yet he still fell for him.
Bai Hao tried to control himself, and he wanted to break off all the connections he had with Hei Ming.
But there was one thing he couldn’t control-his heart. Step by step, Hei Ming took over his mind, his body, and his heart eventually.
“Are you okay?” Hei Ming asked in a gentle and tender tone of voice.
Hearing the sound of Hei Ming, Bai Hao shed tears immediately, and he couldn’t stop himself from crying no matter how hard he tried.
“I don’t need your foxy care. I’m good.”
Bai Hao pushed Hei Ming away for he didn’t want to be held by him.
He tried to stand up but Hei Ming pulled him back with strength immediately.
Hei Ming wanted to apologize but he didn’t know where to start. Thus, after a while of hesitation, he eventually let go of Bai Hao’s hand.
Bai Hao was expecting something deep down when his hand was being gripped by him, but the silence of Hei Ming eventually pushed him back to the hell.
‘Ha! How funny, Bai Hao? What were you expecting? Can’t you see you are just embarrassing yourself? How shameless!’
About ten seconds later, Hei Ming said abruptly, “I’ll stay with you until your estrus has passed. You are weak and in danger now, and it’s better for you to stay inside.”
“Stay out of my business!” Bai Hao wiped his tears and rejected loudly.
The subordinates downstairs heard that and looked up curiously, but they didn’t head up. After a few glimpses, they walked away.
“I was saying that for your sake. I won’t mind how much you hate me, but you have to consider yourself first.”
‘I hate you?’
Bai Hao wiped his tears and thought it funny, ‘Hei Ming, shouldn’t you be the one who hates me? Just because I was pregnant with your child, and you no longer like me so you took my child away from me. Is’t that the fact?’
“Hypocrite! You are a complete bastard! A**hole!” Bai Hao gave a heavy slap in Hei Ming’s face but the tears in his eyes just couldn’t stop falling.
He didn’t want to cry and be so embarrassing in front of Hei Ming, but he couldn’t control himself.
“Get out! Get out now!” Bai Hao pointed at the door and yelled.
“I won’t leave. Even if you call your subordinates up here, I’ll still stay here.” Hei Ming was firm about it.
Because it would be really dangerous for him to leave Bai Hao now.
Bai Hao could possibly hurt himself if he wasn’t here.
“I suppose hiding me here in your room isn’t that hard and impossible for you, right?”
“Are you kidding me? Leave now!”
This was Pei Siyan’s place; according to what he knew about Pei Siyan, he would rip Hei Ming’s wings off if he found out Hei Ming was here.
“It’s for your sake. Trust me.” Hei Ming said it seriously without that flirting and sassy tone he used to carry in his voice.
Bai Hao knew his situation now, but he didn’t want to be in this kind of relationship with Hei Ming again.
However, after a moment of self-contradiction, he eventually agreed.
Bai Hao said indifferently, “You will leave as soon as my estrus ends.”
After he finished the sentence, he rushed into the bathroom and left Hei Ming outside alone.
A faint smile showed up on Hei Ming’s face because that was the Bai Hao he knew-a man with a soft and kind heart.
In that way, Bai Hao had hidden Hei Ming in his room for a whole week. They never left each other except for the time of eating.
