A DIVINE FOOL

Chapter 1: The circuit awakens

Chapter 1: "The Circuit Awakens"

The city of Neo Tianhe glittered under a canopy of neon lights and hovering spirit drones. In this high-tech cultivation metropolis, talent and power determined one's worth. Unfortunately for 17-year-old Yuki Fushiwara, he had neither.

Yuki was a scrawny kid with a knack for making every situation worse. His dream of becoming a cultivator was laughed at by everyone, including his pet spirit drone, Buzzzy, who often reminded him of his shortcomings.

"Yuki, your cultivation aptitude score is zero. ZERO! You've got better odds of taming a cyber-phoenix than passing the Initiation Test," Buzzzy buzzed, its tiny holographic wings flapping mockingly.

Yuki sighed as he looked at the massive billboard announcing the upcoming Neo Tianhe Cultivation Tournament, where the strongest geniuses would compete. "I'll show them, Buzzzy. I'll join that tournament and make everyone proud!"

Buzzzy emitted a sarcastic beep. "Sure, let's add 'become a cosmic joke' to your resume."

The Accident

Determined to prove himself, Yuki snuck into the Neo Tianhe Cultivation Hall, a futuristic training facility where initiates unlocked their spiritual circuitry. Rows of glowing pods hummed with energy as young prodigies meditated inside. Yuki, clueless as ever, wandered into an unmarked chamber.

The room was dark except for a strange pedestal in the center, holding a cracked, glowing device. The Divine Circuit of Fortune was a forbidden artifact said to be abandoned by the gods themselves.

"Whoa, free tech!" Yuki exclaimed, reaching out to touch it.

The moment his fingers made contact, a surge of golden light engulfed him. Yuki screamed, thinking he was about to explode, but instead, the artifact embedded itself into his chest, glowing faintly.

Buzzzy's sensors went haywire. "What did you DO?! That's the Divine Circuit of Fortune! It's a god-tier artifact!"

"What's it doing in a janitor's closet?" Yuki asked, scratching his head.

Before Buzzzy could answer, alarms blared, and a group of cultivators stormed in.

"Who dares disturb the sacred artifact?!" shouted the leader, a fiery-haired girl named Akari. She was the top prodigy in Neo Tianhe and had no patience for fools.

"I-I didn't mean to! It was just lying there!" Yuki stammered.

Akari's eyes narrowed. "You? A talentless fool? This is a sacred treasure. You'll pay for this!"

She raised her hand, summoning a blazing orb of energy, but as she launched it at Yuki, something unexpected happened. The orb reversed mid-air and exploded at her feet, leaving her dazed.

"What the—?!" Akari exclaimed, coughing from the smoke.

Buzzzy beeped in astonishment. "The artifact's luck barrier protected you. It's literally impossible for anyone to harm you now!"

The Chaos Begins

Word spread quickly: Yuki Fushiwara, the untalented fool, had somehow bonded with a god-tier artifact. He was dragged before the Elder Council, a group of wise and powerful cultivators.

"This boy is unworthy!" one elder roared. "The artifact must be removed!"

But when they attempted to extract it, the artifact unleashed a wave of energy that sent the entire council flying.

"It seems... the artifact has chosen him," the head elder said reluctantly. "For better or worse."

Yuki grinned nervously. "So, uh... does this mean I'm a cultivator now?"

The room fell silent. Then, to Yuki's surprise, the elders bowed. "Respect to the chosen one!"

The Aftermath

By the end of the day, Yuki was the talk of Neo Tianhe. Some called him a prodigy; others believed he was a cosmic mistake. Either way, no one could deny his newfound fame.

Akari, still fuming from their earlier encounter, confronted him outside the cultivation hall. "Don't think this changes anything, fool. I'll prove you're not worthy of that artifact!"

"Sure thing," Yuki replied absentmindedly, munching on a glowing spirit apple.

As Akari stormed off, she tripped over a loose cable and fell into a fountain. The crowd burst into laughter, while Yuki stared blankly, oblivious to how his luck was already at work.

Cliffhanger

That night, as Yuki lay in bed, Buzzzy hovered over him. "You're the luckiest idiot alive. But don't get comfortable. That artifact is bound to attract trouble—big trouble."

Yuki yawned. "Trouble, shmouble. As long as I've got this luck thingy, I'll be fine!"

Far above the city, in a celestial realm, a group of gods watched Yuki through a shimmering portal.

"The fool has awakened the artifact," one god muttered.

"Should we intervene?" another asked.

"No," their leader said, clenching his fists. "We cannot touch him now. But mark my words—his luck won't last forever."

As the gods plotted, Yuki snored peacefully, completely unaware of the chaos his existence was about to unleash.
