"I need that," George said solemnly.

"You don't say," Harry said mildly.

"He does and often," Angelina smiled.

They chatted for a few more moments before Harry looked at his watch. "I have to go."

"Always good to see you," George said. He hugged Harry. "Stay safe out there."

"That's what Ron's for," Harry said, hugging him back. After Angelina hugged him, he left the store, walking down the busy street. He went to the satellite office the Aurors had at Diagon and after finishing some paperwork, changed into dark clothes and left. Instead of going to the Floo Hub or the Cauldron, he walked deeper into Diagon and then turned to walk down Knockturn Alley.

For the life of him, he still had no idea how he ended up there the summer before his second year at Hogwarts. Even with pronouncing Diagon Alley incorrectly, it still should not have taken him to the darker and Darker side street. Yet it was good that it did, considering it was not far from Diagon proper.

Years later, Knockturn had changed in many ways. It was still dark in tone and feeling compared to Diagon. It lacked the bright colors that the main street had, the open air, the wares laid out for all to see. It was a private street for private wants and needs. Where people went for things that cost more but came with less questions.

During the Second War, Knockturn Alley had exploded in different ways. Under the regime of Voldemort and his supporters, the Dark Arts were more obviously accepted and many things once deemed illegal and wrong were suddenly no longer tarred that way. The denizens of Knockturn spilled out and took large portions of Diagon, bringing themselves forward. But then more and more fights happened, both in public and in priva...
