A Deal With The Devil: Being His Bride

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Lisa scanned the place and didn't know what to do; now she could only choose from whose hands to die.

The rogues or the demons. Which one will be more painful?

First, she hurried and hid behind a tree, even though she knew it wasn't the perfect place. "Wow, so smart, Lisa," Jim said in a mocking tone.

Lisa sighed as her heartbeat increased; she could hear the rogues approach, and she could smell a lot of anger and hatred from them.

Maybe if she concentrated on knowing the emotions her opponents had, then she could choose which of them to run to.

The rogues were very angry and filled with hatred, but she couldn't feel any emotions from the demon ahead... Was it that it was dead, or was it just not feeling anything at the moment?

"Lisa, those rogues will kill you," Jim signaled once he noticed the rogues had heavy weapons.

Without thinking twice, Lisa hurried out of her hiding and ran in the direction of the demon ahead. "Either way, I will die," she thought.

She fell on the ground, and her eyes widened in shock when she noticed she was surrounded by fire.

"What?" She couldn't believe what was happening, then there was a strong wind as the dust lifted, so she shut her eyes tightly to prevent it from going inside her eye.

She later opened her eyes and found some dead wolves beside her. She was inside a fire ring with the dead wolves; someone had killed the rogues that were after her.

All she could see was a black coat. "Who...who are you?" She stuttered. How could he have killed a group of angry rogue wolves in just seconds?

This didn't make sense; was it a witch? But even the witches weren't that powerful and needed time to chant their spells.

"Lisa, it's the demon king, the man who controls fire and all the demons," Jim explained in a frightened tone.

"Lisa, he has horns, fangs, and long nails. Lisa, he is going to drink our blood." Jim couldn't stand it anymore; at least he didn't want to die.

"Goodbye Lisa," then he flew away.

Lisa had heard a lot of rumors about the demons and how wicked they were; evil was a normal activity in their kingdom. People said their king was 100 years old, very short-tempered, and also ugly like a monster.

She ran into the demon king; he was powerful.

"Don't kill me, please," she said, and the fire suddenly disappeared; she could now see the man clearly.

He was covered in an all-black cloak, and the only thing she could see were his red eyes; his feet weren't touching the ground. it's like he was floating in air.

"What is it that you wish in this life?" He asked. His magnetic voice had her mind in a buzz. It made her shiver like she was talking to the devil.

"Stupid Lisa, this man is the devil himself," she thought, and stood on her feet.

"Don't kill me, please; I am going to take the opposite road and pretend we never met."

Klaus stared at the fragile lady before him; she was so pretty and smelled so good. It had been a long time since he smelled anything so good, but he could feel that she desired something…something powerful.

But since she didn't want to tell him, he didn't have time to convince her to.

He turned on his heels and walked away, his feet now touching the ground. He was five steps gone when he felt the lady run towards him; quickly he turned and created a ring of fire around her.

"Hey, do you plan on burning me alive?" Lisa asked in disbelief; she just wanted to stop him from leaving and not to hurt him. Why was he so protective?

"You... you are the demon king, right?" She asked, and he furrowed his brow.

"I don't have a mate, and I heard the demon king is allowed to marry as many women as he wants; please make me one of your brides," she said, folded her hand and fell on her feet.

Klaus was taken aback by her request. "How…" he wondered where she got the guts to make such a plea.

And he was a demon; everyone in his kingdom was a demon. He could marry more demon women if he wanted to, so why would he want to marry another creature?

"Please, all I ask is for you to help me avenge Alpha Davin for using and dumping me." She was consumed by hatred for Davin for throwing her out after five years of marriage. She was even willing to beg the devil himself.

"I will fulfill any of your wishes; please... do this for me."

Klaus took a step forward; he snapped his hand as a brown rolled paper appeared. "So what I hear is this: you are willing to strike a deal with the devil?"

She nodded. If it required him ruining Alpha Davin and the entire pack for treating her this way, then she was willing to sign a deal with him.

"What's your name?" he asked with a hoarse tone.

"Lisa Moonstar"

"Tonight is an auspicious time; we could seal the deal of you becoming my third bride. Then we could talk about your wish."

He snapped his finger after her name had been written on the brown paper, then it burned before he walked closer to her.

"Why is he coming so close?" She thought nervously; he was a step away from her before he stopped.

"I love fire; do you know what else I love apart from fire?" He questioned, and she thought for a while, evil? Did he like evil more?

"No, no, no, I don't."

"Are you a virgin?"

She blinked. What personal question was that? Despite being married to Davin for five years, they never for once got intimate because of the fear that they would be killed by the moon goddess, as they were not each other's rightful mates.

She didn't want to answer Klaus's question, but his intimidating gaze was on her. She swallowed the lump in her throat before she answered, "Yes."

"I want to change that tonight, my little virgin bride."
